"Is it fate? What if it's not fate at all?"
The spoon was put down, making a "clang" sound as it hit the bowl. Chi Yuan continued feeding the baby cod and egg custard. Hearing the sound, he looked up at Shen Yulou and frowned slightly.
"What's the meaning?"
"Guess what this means."
Shen Yulou's lips curled into a sly smile as he leaned back in his chair, crossed his arms, and looked on with a hint of mystery and amusement.
"I won't guess, I can't guess."
Chi Yuan stared intently at Shen Yulou, his dark eyes churning, causing the surrounding air to freeze.
"Oh, don't be nervous."
Ignoring the oppressive feeling emanating from Chi Yuan, Shen Yulou raised her chin and gestured with her lips towards Chi Yuan's wrist.
The Visla family crest consists of three silver arcs, two parallel at the top and one diagonally intersecting to form an arrow shape.
"Is that the mark of your family crest on the inside of your wrist? It looks quite nice."
Shen Yulou remained smiling.
This frivolous attitude naturally displeased Chi Yuan, whose face darkened, but he restrained himself somewhat because of the baby.
"What exactly are you trying to say?"
He gave Shen Yulou face, but that didn't mean he had no temper and could tolerate Shen Yulou's disregard for him time and time again.
"Are you angry? It's alright. Since you're so curious, how about you stay here tonight?"
Shen Meiren lazily switched his crossed legs, his tongue lightly touching the roof of his mouth, letting out a faint chuckle.
"Not good at all. What exactly do you want?"
Chi Yuan's breathing quickened, and he tightened his grip on the silicone spoon, trying his best to suppress the emotions he wanted to vent.
Shen Yulou always seemed to be in control, so arrogant that I wanted to rush up and tear off that hypocritical mask.
"I want to 'gan' you."
Chi Yuan's pupils suddenly contracted, not expecting Shen Yulou to be so... bold at this moment.
So... so you're really not being hypocritical at all, right?
"If you stay tonight, I'll tell you what I want to say, okay?"
He slowly raised his hand, his fingertips lightly touching his cheek, tracing the lines of his face down to his chin, where he gently caressed it.
"Never mind, I don't want to know."
Retorting irritably, Chi Yuan coldly turned his gaze back to the little one diligently eating, attempting to devote all his attention to this food-loving treasure.
"Don't be so quick to refuse. If you stay, the information you gain will be well worth it."
Shen Yulou said softly, his voice carrying a seductive power.
He straightened up slightly, crossed his arms gracefully in front of his chest, and kept his eyes fixed on Chi Yuan.
"Minister, no matter how valuable the information you have is, it is not as important as my personal safety."
Chi Yuan chuckled, a sarcastic smile curving his lips, as if mocking Shen Yulou's wild ideas.
"I won't do anything to you, I'm not a pervert."
Walking up to Chi Yuan, Shen Yulou leaned forward slightly, placing his hands on the armrests of the chair beside Chi Yuan, trapping him between himself and the chair, creating a highly oppressive posture.
Shen Yulou's gaze was so intense it seemed to ignite Chi Yuan, revealing his hidden desires and determination.
Chi Yuan's gaze was cold and sharp, like a blade gleaming in the cold night, revealing vigilance and resentment.
The two stared intently at each other, like two fierce beasts facing off, the air thick with tension.
"Huh? Wow?"
Zai Zai turned his head to the left to look at his father, Chi, who was fearless and courageous in deterring power, and to the right to look at his father, Shen, who did not care about the forceful suppression.
"wanwan! wanwan!"
Food, food, baby's food!
The baby tried to remind the dads, but the dads were too busy to pay attention to him.
