Fang Qingyang drove to the coffee shop and went up to the second floor, where he saw Shen Bei already waiting by the window.
Fang Qingyang sat down and looked around. "Why did you choose this place?"
Shen Bei handed Fang Qingyang a cup of coffee, "You like it, no sugar."
Fang Qingyang took a sip of his drink. "Speak, what is it?"
Shen Bei took a sip of coffee, "You...".
Fang Qingyang glanced at Shen Bei with displeasure, "Speak up if you have something to say, or shut up. Stop acting all coy like a woman."
Shen Bei leaned over and whispered in Fang Qingyang's ear, but before he could speak, Fang Qingyang pushed him away.
Shen Bei stared at Fang Qingyang in astonishment, "What are you doing?"
Fang Qingyang stood up and sat down across the table, looking serious and solemn. "If you have something to say, say it. Why are you sitting so close?"
Shen Bei stared wide-eyed in disbelief. Before he could stand up and reach out to touch the other person's forehead, he was stopped.
"Sit there and don't move. Get to the point. What's with all this beating around the bush?"
Shen Bei laughed, "No, who's being all lovey-dovey with you? Who are you talking about?"
Fang Qingyang, "If you're not going to be all lovey-dovey, why are you constantly touching me?"
Shen Bei choked for a moment, "No, didn't we always do it this way? You never objected or refused before."
Fang Qingyang thought it made sense. He hadn't thought there was anything wrong with it before, so why was he subconsciously resisting it now?
Could it be because...?
Fang Qingyang's expression was complicated and unreadable, as if he had thought of something.
Shen Bei scrutinized Fang Qingyang for a moment before slowly asking, "Brother, is there something you're having trouble telling us?"
Fang Qingyang didn't want to continue this topic with Shen Bei, so she glanced at him and asked, "Did you ask me out today because of something?"
Shen Bei glanced at Fang Qingyang suspiciously, thinking to himself: Could it be that this kid has been single for too long and has developed some kind of problem? Does he dislike physical contact with people? Last time, the two of them invited a few young ladies, but he didn't seem interested in any of them.
How about I order a few handsome guys for him next time?
Shen Bei leaned closer mysteriously and whispered, "Tell me honestly, are you feeling really pent up? Let's go find some cute guys to hang out with next time."
He finished speaking and smiled smugly. If he weren't handsome, he would definitely look like a sleazy man.
Fang Qingyang stood up impatiently. Why did he come out today to chat with this person about nothing? He'd rather stay with this annoying ghost.
Thinking of the annoying girl's virtuous and considerate nature, Fang Qingyang's lips curled up, and he felt inexplicably good.
Seeing that Fang Qingyang wanted to leave, Shen Bei immediately grabbed his wrist. "Don't go. If you don't want to hear it, I won't say it. We haven't talked about serious matters yet."
He paused for a moment, then couldn't help but add, "Brother, you've been an adult for years. You should find someone to vent your frustrations. Don't hold it in and ruin your function. What if you want to use it later but find it's not working properly because you haven't used it in a while? Who will you cry to then?"
Fang Qingyang's face darkened completely. He glanced at a certain spot on the other party and said meaningfully, "I can make you unable to use it right now. Want to try?"
Shen Bei immediately released his grip, retreated several steps, and waved his hand, saying, "No need."
The two sat down again, and Shen Bei finally spoke, "You... are you still in contact with that friend from last time?"
Fang Qingyang knew he was talking about the annoying ghost, but for some reason he didn't want Shen Bei to come into contact with him.
"Who is it?"
"It's the one who saved us in the back mountain last time."
There was something off about that person, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it; maybe it was their aura.
Those in their line of work are very sensitive to unusual cues.
I hope I'm just overthinking it.
