Chapter 4 The Second Wife
After the marriage, the Fifth Princess and Shen Yao went to live in the Princess's residence, but they would occasionally return to the Duke of Zhenguo's residence for a few days...
One month later,
That day, the eldest princess hosted a banquet at her residence, inviting many people to come and admire the flowers.
Luo Xi and the Crown Prince's wife also went.
The eldest princess glanced at Luo Xi a few more times, thinking to herself: This second daughter-in-law of the Duchess is getting more and more beautiful every day.
Half an hour later,
A maid dressed in a blue maid's dress accidentally spilled wine on Luo Xi's sleeve while pouring wine for her.
Luo Xi's eyes flickered, and she gave her a meaningful look.
The palace maid was so frightened that she immediately knelt on the ground.
Luo Xi stared at the maid for a couple of seconds, then reached out to help her up, saying softly, "Get up."
The maid was taken aback; she hadn't expected the lady to be so kind. She hesitated for a moment, then said timidly, "Madam, your dress is wet. Let me take you to change."
Luo Xi glanced down at the sleeve of her dress. "No need."
The maid insisted on taking Luo Xi to change her clothes.
Luo Xi looked at the maid and said with a half-smile, "Why are you so insistent on taking me to change clothes? Could it be that you did that on purpose just now?"
Although I don't know who made her do this, it certainly wasn't anything good.
The maidservant hurriedly knelt down and said she dared not.
Luo Xi waved her hand, signaling her to leave.
Finally, the maid left somewhat reluctantly.
Fifteen minutes later, in the Princess's backyard,
Su Wenyuan slapped the maid hard and cursed, "Useless! You can't even do this little thing right."
Luo Xi is beautiful, and he has been thinking about her for a long time.
His mother is hosting a banquet today, and she's here—this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
He had thought he would finally get to taste her today, but unexpectedly...
He grew angrier the more he thought about it, and kicked the maid hard.
The maid (Lan Meng) fell to the ground, feeling a headache and a general sense of irritability. Hearing Su Wenyuan's curses, her anger surged.
She stood up, grabbed a vase from the side, and smashed it directly over Su Wenyuan's head, causing him to bleed profusely.
That wasn't all; she threw everything she could in the room at Su Wenyuan.
Su Wenyuan had sent everyone away from the vicinity of the guest room beforehand, so no one passed by or came in to rescue him.
In the end, Su Wenyuan died. He was smashed to pieces, his flesh mangled beyond recognition.
After Lan Meng killed Su Wenyuan, she sat there blankly, not running away...
After the banquet, the princess's people discovered that Su Wenyuan was dead, and that he had been killed by a mere maid.
The princess was furious. She picked up her sword and stabbed the maid to death. She then ordered her body to be dragged away and cut into a thousand pieces.
Upon hearing this, Luo Xi felt no emotion whatsoever, nor did she feel the slightest bit of guilt.
The maid dared to kill the princess's son because she gave her a special drug.
She did this casually when she helped the maid up.
She felt no sympathy for the maid, whether she was threatened or forced into it. She simply didn't have that much extra compassion.
If she had actually gone downstairs with that maid to change her clothes, her fate would have been unimaginable...
As for Su Wenyuan, he deserves to die even more.
