Chapter 3 Second Wife 3
Shen Chi kissed Luo Xi's red lips, easily prying open her teeth.
“Hmm…” Luo Xi took a step back, and as soon as she did, Shen Chi pressed forward until she had nowhere left to retreat.
Shen Chi grabbed Luo Xi's waist and entangled with her.
An hour later,
After getting ready, Luo Xi glared at Chen Chi again and again. Chen Chi guiltily scratched his head, his eyes darting around. He grabbed Luo Xi's hand and blinked, "Madam, it's not too late, we can still make it there now."
"Nobody knows what we just did."
Luo Xi: "............."
Aren't those maids outside the door human?
Luo Xi pulled Shen Chi outside, saying, "Let's go, or it will really be too late."
Chen Chi's gaze fell on their clasped hands, his eyes filled with a smile, and he replied, "Okay."
Fuchun Hall.
When Shen Chi and Luo Xi arrived, everyone else was already there. They called out to the others and took their seats. When the Crown Prince's wife saw Luo Xi sitting next to her, she gave her a teasing smile.
Luo Xi: ..........
She smiled, but her hand reached out to the culprit beside her, Shen Chi, and pinched his waist hard.
Shen Chi bent over, "Hiss!"
Upon hearing this commotion, everyone turned to look at Shen Chi.
Luo Xi turned her head and looked at him with an innocent expression.
Slow and hesitant: ? ? ?
He had something to say but couldn't.
"Spare the rod and spoil the child"—this is how his wife shows her love for him.
Shen Han asked, "Second brother, what's wrong?"
Shen Chi forced a smile. "Big brother, I'm fine."
I'm a little hungry.
The Duchess smiled and said, "Since you're hungry, let's start eating."
"yes."
Luo Xi glanced at Shen Chi, then used serving chopsticks to put a piece of chicken on his plate. "Husband, eat more meat."
Shen Chi's eyes brightened slightly, somewhat flattered. He nodded vigorously, "Okay."
He knew that his wife still loved him.
After dinner, Shen Chi, Shen Han, and the others followed the Duke of Zhenguo to his study...
One month later,
This was the day the Fifth Princess was to marry Shen Yao, and the entire Zhenguo Duke's Mansion was decorated with lanterns and colorful streamers, making it a very lively occasion.
Luo Xi followed the Crown Prince's wife around busily, and was exhausted.
Many people came to the wedding banquet that day, but the most conspicuous of them all was General Li, because he brought the orphan girl with him.
General Li has a fiancée, Ning Wan'er, the eldest daughter of the Minister's family. She also came today. When she saw that General Li had brought another woman, she was furious and started arguing with him.
The orphan girl felt ashamed after being scolded by Ning Wan'er and ran away crying. General Li sent many people to look for her, but they couldn't find her.
Because of this incident, the Fifth Princess and Shen Yao harbored resentment towards General Li and that orphan girl.
On their joyous day, General Li knew full well that Minister Ning's family would be coming, yet he still openly brought that orphan girl along; he was probably doing it on purpose.
When the Emperor found out, he was furious. The Fifth Princess was a legitimate princess, and although the Emperor didn't particularly like her, she was still his daughter, and he wouldn't allow anyone to ruin her wedding.
Now, General Li is taking that orphan girl to disrupt the Fifth Princess's wedding banquet, which is a blatant slap in his face.
Don't think that having some military merits means you can do whatever you want.
General Li has military merits, and he cannot deal with him for the time being.
However, someone has to take responsibility for this; after all, imperial power is inviolable. That orphan girl, then, should die.
Finally, General Li found the orphan girl. However, she was dead, her neck covered in blood...
Many people witnessed the commander of the Embroidered Uniform Guard killing the orphan girl, and they naturally knew that it was the Emperor's will.
General Li knelt on the ground, holding the orphaned girl in his arms, his eyes fixed on the Imperial Guards with a sinister look.
Commander Feng frowned upon seeing General Li's expression. He then had someone report the truth to the Emperor.
Upon hearing this, the emperor's face darkened; he hated threats more than anything. Ignoring the objections of his court officials, he directly ordered the execution of General Li.
Finally, General Li was beheaded and died...
