The vice-captain couldn't stand it any longer and called out to him loudly.
"Professor Ji, stop looking. This area is over 8,000 meters deep. You won't find her like this."
"Eight thousand meters?" Ji Yuan blinked, the salty seawater sliding down his eyelashes. He looked at the endless sea before him and murmured, "She'll be scared. I need to find her quickly."
As he spoke, he jumped in without any hesitation.
And so, he searched back and forth countless times.
Ultimately, due to the pressure and exhaustion, he fainted again.
For more than a month since Nan Zhi disappeared, Ji Yuan would go to the sea to search for her whenever he woke up.
He flew his plane to the edge of the sea, issued a bounty, and summoned countless diving experts, but he still couldn't find her.
Truly, they were neither seen alive nor their bodies found.
Gradually, Ji Yuan seemed to become somewhat obsessed.
He had the culprit brought up.
In just over a month, Ji Ting saw Ji Yuan, who was so thin that he looked like nothing but a skeleton.
He stared at him coldly, his eyes empty yet terrifying.
"I had many opportunities to kill you before," Ji Yuan said with a mocking laugh, "but I didn't."
Ji Ting shouted, "I am your father, of course you can't kill me!"
He knew Ji Yuan wouldn't kill him, so he remained calm even after being arrested.
"Yes, you are my father, so I didn't kill you." The mockery in Ji Yuan's eyes slowly turned into hatred as he pressed the gun hard against Ji Ting's head. "But you don't deserve to be a father at all. I should have killed you sooner!"
