Jiang Qi walked in front, Mu Wenxi followed behind Yu Zhiyuan, and Han Chao was behind Mu Wenxi. She held onto Yu Zhiyuan's clothes and moved slowly.
This is a rather long tunnel. After passing through the tunnel, everyone is in front of a stage with a huge dragon throne on it. The surrounding scenery resembles a palace hall. There are several candles in front of the stage, and a piece of paper is placed next to each candle.
As the group tried to pick up the paper to look at it, the surrounding lights suddenly turned blue, and two people walked onto the stage. One was dressed in a dragon robe, clearly an emperor, and the other was dressed in eunuch's clothes. The two of them performed a story.
After the performance, Jiang Qi picked up a piece of paper and said, "The requirements are that everyone must memorize their lines and play their corresponding roles. In ten minutes, earth soldiers will be chasing after us."
Mu Wenxi got the role of an empress with a few lines, but it was a piece of cake for her.
Yu Zhiyuan shouted, "What the hell? I'm the emperor, and there are too many lines, damn it!"
Jiang Qi: "I am a prince."
Han Chao: "I am also a prince."
Mu Wenxi felt the chill around him and urged, "Hurry up and memorize it, the pursuers will be here in ten minutes."
Everyone watched quickly, and a few minutes later, everyone began to play their respective roles.
Emperor (Yu Zhiyuan): "Have I treated you badly? Why did you do this?"
Empress (Mu Wenxi): "Your Majesty, I simply love you too much..."
The Emperor (Yu Zhiyuan) looked at the Prince (Jiang Qi): "So you are my prince, you are her child. You have suffered all these years."
Prince (Jiang Qi): "I am not wronged. I hope you can avenge my mother."
The Emperor (Yu Zhiyuan) stiffened: "This..."
Prince (Han Chao): "Father! Please forgive Mother."
The Emperor (Yu Zhiyuan) looked at the Prince (Jiang Qi): "It's all in the past, don't bring it up again."
The prince (Jiang Qi) exclaimed in disbelief, "Father!"
The Emperor (Yu Zhiyuan): "Yes...it is I who have wronged you and your mother. I will apologize to your mother after I leave. Please do not blame others..."
Prince (Jiang Qi): "You..."
Mu Wenxi urged Yu Zhiyuan, "Hurry up, time is almost up."
Yu Zhiyuan stammered through her lines: "It's all my fault. Step down, I told you to step down!"
The sound of earth soldiers' footsteps came from not far away. Mu Wenxi threw down a piece of paper: "Run!"
The group ran up the stairs on the right. Mu Wenxi couldn't care less about anything else now. She kept pushing the people in front of her, and the thought of someone chasing after her made her extremely nervous.
Mu Wenxi: "Hurry up and go up to the second floor."
Han Chao screamed from behind, "Damn it, this soldier stabbed me with something!"
Mu Wenxi followed the two people in front of her up to the second floor. Han Chao quickly went in and closed the door. The inside was brightly lit, while it was pitch black outside. Occasionally, there were sounds of banging on the door.
Mu Wenxi: "This is terrifying."
Yu Zhiyuan slapped her thigh: "Hahahaha, you're scared to death by such a small amount? We still have to continue."
After she finished speaking, she observed that the room was clearly a study. There were many books on two cabinets, all kinds of books. There was a door next to it, which should be a passageway to another place. She had to find the mechanism to open the door.
The group searched everywhere but found nothing but books. Mu Wenxi noticed a few neatly arranged books and had a sudden inspiration from the words on the bookshelf: "Could all these books be related to books? Should we categorize them? Look, there are many labels below."
Yu Zhiyuan: "Yes, we definitely need to categorize them. Let's do it together."
Jiang Qi: "This belongs to the 'Four Books,' while this belongs to the 'Five Classics,' so it should be placed here."
Han Chao: "What about this one?"
Mu Wenxi: "'Spring and Autumn Annals'".
After a lot of fuss, the door suddenly opened. It was still pitch black outside, and no one dared to go out first. Mu Wenxi followed closely behind Yu Zhiyuan, shuffling in little by little.
In the end, Jiang Qi took the lead. Mu Wenxi closed his eyes and dared not look at anything around him. All fears were magnified in the face of darkness and had nowhere to hide. As long as he didn't look, he wouldn't be afraid.
Jiang Qi: "What the hell is this? It's on my head! Ah!"
Yu Zhiyuan pulled him back: "What are you yelling about? It's just fake hair."
As Mu Wenxi passed by, she felt strands of hair swaying on her head, but with her eyes closed, she didn't find it scary; instead, it felt a little itchy.
Jiang Qi shone his flashlight and said, "Be careful, there are stairs here. It looks like we're going down again."
Two minutes later, the group walked down the stairs. Above them was the word "prison," and there were many red characters on the surrounding walls, indicating that they had arrived at the dungeon.
The interior was dimly lit. To the right were prison cells with straw covering the floor, and to the left was a narrow corridor with a candle lit not far away.
As the group slowly walked forward, suddenly a hand grabbed Mu Wenxi's ankle, and she jumped up, exclaiming, "Ah, a ghost!"
Yu Zhiyuan: "It's nothing, it's just me interacting with you."
Mu Wenxi looked down and saw that there were indeed small holes at the bottom of the wall, and people were reaching out their hands from time to time.
The group continued walking forward, until they reached a point where there was nowhere else to go but a cell on the right. Suddenly, the light came on.
Suddenly, a woman with bracelets and shackles appeared in the prison. Soon after, a man wearing a dragon robe walked in. He was the former emperor. The two men's performances told everyone a story.
A young woman fell in love with the emperor by chance and was made a concubine. She soon gave birth to a son, and the emperor seemed to dote on the mother and child.
But soon after, this empress was called a demon concubine by everyone. All the ministers in the court believed that she must be killed, but the emperor could not bring himself to do it and let the empress escape.
Mu Wenxi: "Amazing, their acting is so good."
Yu Zhiyuan: "Holy crap, I'm about to cry."
The emperor handed a candle to the group and said, "After you finish walking this road, put the candle on that candlestick, and then you can take her away."
The group exchanged bewildered glances; they were now being asked to complete a task.
At that moment, a voice suddenly came from Mu Wenxi's walkie-talkie: "Now someone needs to do the task of placing the candle on the candlestick in front."
Yu Zhiyuan: "Who's going?"
Mu Wenxi shook his head, looking at the dark road ahead with great resistance: "I'm not going, I'll be scared to death, I really will be scared to death."
Han Chao: "I don't want to go either."
Yu Zhiyuan looked at Jiang Qi, who said helplessly, "Alright then, it seems I'll have to go."
All the lights around them went out. Jiang Qi took the only lit candle and walked through the dark passage to place it on the candlestick. At that moment, the lights in the cell next to them suddenly came on, and Jiang Qi quickly ran back to the group.
