Chapter 261 My Boyfriend is a Ghost 14

Mu Wenxi felt a little embarrassed, even though she hadn't done anything at all: "You're welcome."

She realized she was still holding Xiao Chang'an's hand, so she quickly let go and awkwardly got out of bed, not seeing the bright smile that Xiao Chang'an had when he was young behind her.

She went out of her room, finished her meal, and picked up her phone, only to see the text message from Yu Zhiyuan.

"Wenxi, how are you? Jiang Qi and I both got fevers after we went to the old house. We asked Xia, Lan and Han Chao, and they also got fevers. What we saw the day before yesterday really was a ghost, right?"

Mu Wenxi replied, somewhat confused, "Yeah, we definitely saw a ghost. How are you feeling now?"

Upon seeing the message, Yu Zhiyuan immediately made a phone call: "I'm fine now, except for the fever."

Mu Wenxi: "That's good. See you at school. I'm hanging up now."

Yu Zhiyuan said somewhat urgently, "Wait, there's something..."

Mu Wenxi: "What's wrong?"

After hesitating for a while, Yu Zhiyuan finally finished speaking: "I posted our adventure of going to the old house that day online, and it got a lot of attention. But now the old house can't be found, so Jiang Qi and I plan to go on an adventure somewhere else."

Mu Wenxi almost dropped the phone: "You mean you're still going?"

Yu Zhiyuan: "Yes, but I was wondering if you could come with us? You have that amulet."

Mu Wenxi got a little angry and blurted out, "Are you guys sick? You already have a fever and you still want to go? Don't you remember how terrifying it was last time? Are you playing with your lives? I advise you not to go."

Yu Zhiyuan quickly retorted, "No, I was just thinking you had a talisman."

Mu Wenxi: "I'm not going."

She hung up the phone in anger.

Xiao Chang'an: "What's wrong?"

Mu Wenxi: "The people who went to the secret room and the old house with me that day wanted to go explore other places. I really didn't know what to say. They were all so scared that they even wanted me to come with them. I was afraid something would happen to them, but they wouldn't listen."

Xiao Chang'an: "Do you want to go?"

Mu Wenxi: "Of course not."

Hsiao Chang-an: "If you change your mind, you can tell me, and I'll go with you."

Mu Wenxi: "Okay, I can't change my mind. I will never go to these places again."

But she was about to contradict herself for the second time. On Monday, shortly after Mu Wenxi returned to school, someone came to her door. The person was Han Chao.

He hurriedly and frantically found Mu Wenxi: "Wenxi, we really need your help this time. Jiang Qi and Yu Zhiyuan are trapped in a haunted building."

Mu Wenxi's expression immediately turned serious: "Didn't I tell you not to go? You still went."

Han Chao was a little embarrassed: "I told them, but they wouldn't listen because their videos get a lot of traffic online, and they need to create new content to maintain that traffic."

Mu Wenxi: "But we can't risk our lives."

Han Chao: "I'm sorry, we didn't expect this either. Many people had been to the haunted building we went to this time, and we thought nothing would happen."

Mu Wenxi frowned, glancing discreetly in Xiao Chang'an's direction. Only after Xiao Chang'an nodded did she ask, "Where are they?"

Han Chao: "I'll take you there."

On the way, Han Chao explained the whole thing to Mu Wenxi in detail, albeit with some stumbling and difficulty.

“Jiang Qi, Yu Zhiyuan, and I went there last night. Yu Zhiyuan was in charge of recording with the equipment. At first, there were no problems, but after entering, I don’t know why I kept going around in circles in the haunted building. I kept going back and forth in the same place. When I came out, it was daytime outside. I sensed something was wrong, but I didn’t dare to go in again. I was also wondering if the other two had already come back, but after asking around the school, no one said they had seen them. I think they must still be in the haunted building.”

Mu Wenxi took a deep breath: "You've been fine twice already, your destiny is really strong, but the other two aren't as lucky as you."

Han Chao awkwardly rubbed his fingers together. Soon the two arrived at the haunted building that Han Chao had mentioned. The surrounding area was full of abandoned buildings and overgrown weeds. The haunted building was just one of them.

Mu Wenxi felt uneasy as soon as he saw the building in front of him: the pointed roof, the gray walls, the transparent glass door that looked like a black hole, and the countless iron bars that could be seen when he looked up.

Mu Wenxi: "What was this place before? It was like a prison."

Han Chao: "It seems to be a school from a long time ago that has been abandoned and never rebuilt. Many people come here to take photos."

Mu Wenxi touched his arm and glanced at Xiao Chang'an, immediately feeling a sense of security: "These people really don't want to live long enough."

Han Chao handed Mu Wenxi a flashlight: "Be careful."

Mu Wenxi slammed the flashlight into Han Chao's hand, and Han Chao jerked his hand back.

She could feel her heart pounding: "It's all because of you that I have to face all of this again."

Han Chao gave an embarrassed smile.

Mu Wenxi slowly climbed the stairs with a flashlight and stood in front of the glass door. It was pitch black inside and he couldn't see anything. Only by shining the flashlight through could he see that there was a large hall behind the glass door. Directly in front and to the left was the staircase leading to the second floor. There was a triangular space under the stairs that seemed to be piled with some miscellaneous items.

Han Chao mustered his courage, pushed open the door, and followed closely behind Mu Wenxi.

Upon entering, there was a large blackboard, four or five meters long, on the right side of the hall. Some notices were posted on it, and there were photos in the corner. Mu Wenxi looked at them one by one. One of the photos made Mu Wenxi feel a little strange. It was a notice of punishment for a female student.

Mu Wenxi moved the flashlight away, and Han Chao instinctively exclaimed, "Ah..."

Mu Wenxi shuddered and immediately shone the flashlight over. Han Chao looked terrified: "What are you yelling about? I wasn't scared by the ghost, I was scared by you."

Han Chao said haltingly, pointing to a photo in the corner: "I just saw the face in that photo move slightly."

Mu Wenxi looked at it again and saw it was just an ordinary photo. The female student's expression was gentle: "You must have mistaken me for someone else."

Han Chao: "Maybe."

The two walked a few steps forward and now there were two paths beside them, one on the right and one on the left. The right path seemed to be the teacher's office, and the left path was the classroom.

Mu Wenxi: "Which way?"

Han Chao: "I'll... I'll listen to you."

Mu Wenxi glanced at the closed offices and suggested, "Let's go check out the classrooms first."

The two slowly walked to the left. The flashlight beam couldn't reach far, and neither of them knew how long the corridor was.

The classroom door had the number 101 written on it, indicating that the class was Class 1 of Grade 11. Through the transparent windows in the corridor, you could see the desks and chairs piled up crookedly inside, and some words on the green blackboard on the teacher's desk.
