Lin Zhenzhen brushed past him and went straight behind him.

Lin Zhenzhen ran to Gu Bosheng's side and stood there: "Where did you go just now?"
Gu Bosheng's eyes were clear and bright: "I chatted with it for a while."
"Chatting?" Besides Gu Bosheng, there's only this giant cedar tree in front of us.
Lin Zhenzhen's eyes widened: "After the mutation, can it talk?"
Gu Bosheng shook his head: "It's not spoken aloud, but communicated through something similar to brainwaves."
He explained, "The possibility that mutant plants may develop their own consciousness after evolution is a topic that scientists have been discussing in recent years."
"While this possibility may exist in theory, there are almost no samples that can support this conclusion."
Lin Zhenzhen suddenly realized: "But does this giant sequoia prove that?"
Gu Bosheng lowered his eyes and remained silent.
Gu Zhongsheng, who was standing to the side, said, "There's no way to prove it."

Lin Zhenzhen closed her eyes and breathed slowly. The originally subtle heartbeat became more and more intense, until it sounded like drumsticks pounding on her eardrums.

In addition to the heartbeat, there was also an irregular buzzing sound.
Surprisingly, Lin Zhenzhen was able to sense the emotions contained in the buzzing sound.
The giant sequoia actually felt... happy?
"Lingzhen, that's enough."

Gu Zhongsheng was amused: "Are you going or not? If you're going, leave now."
"Go!" Lin Zhenzhen looked at Gu Bosheng, "General, do you want to come with us?"
Gu Bosheng hid his hand, which was gripped so tightly that the veins were bulging, behind his back and gently shook his head: "No."
"Alright then, we'll be back soon."
"Wait a minute," Gu Zhongsheng called out to her, "Wipe the blood off your face before you come over."
Hearing him say that, Lin Zhenzhen rolled her eyes and then repeated the wiping motion.
"Is it okay now?"
Gu Zhongsheng still clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction.
He simply walked up to her and tore off a piece of Lin Zhenzhen's clothes.
Before Lin Zhenzhen could express her shock, he covered her mouth with the cloth he was holding.
Gu Zhongsheng roughly rubbed her face, and finally wiped the bloodstains off the back of her hand.
After making sure everything was cleaned thoroughly, he casually tossed the cloth aside with satisfaction.
"Alright."
Gu Zhongsheng grabbed Lin Zhenzhen's wrist and ran forward.
