Lin Zhenzhen turned her head and saw that Gu Bosheng was still standing in the same spot, his face already hidden in the darkness.
Lin Zhenzhen couldn't see his expression clearly.
Just as she was about to say goodbye, Gu Zhongsheng reached out and straightened her head.
"Stop looking, aren't you afraid of breaking your thin neck?" Gu Zhongsheng said sarcastically.
Listening closely, he sounded rather exasperated.
Lin Zhenzhen put her hand on his shoulder and chuckled, "It's your fault for twisting your ankle. If you had held me tighter, I wouldn't have gotten hurt."
Gu Zhongsheng slipped, and his breathing became noticeably unsteady.
The system, which hadn't appeared for a long time, popped its head up again.
[Tsk tsk tsk, one second you're all about generals and ministers, the next you're nestled in your brother's arms. Blame him for not holding you tight enough.]
[Host, could you be the legendary Aquaman?]
Oh ho, you dog system, you still have the nerve to say that?
Lin Zhenzhen gritted her teeth in hatred: [It's all because of this damn mission!]
Gu Zhongsheng chuckled softly, his voice hoarse: "What exactly are you thinking about all day long?"
What I'm thinking about is, of course, winning you over, completing the main quest, and getting contribution points as quickly as possible...
Of course, Lin Zhenzhen wouldn't say these thoughts out loud. She pretended to be casual and leaned her head closer to Gu Zhongsheng's chest.
"All I could think about was how to survive. That's why I made you hold me tight because I was afraid of dying."
"If you're so afraid of death, you shouldn't have come to mess with me."
"How dare I, a mere alien, provoke you?" Lin Zhenzhen took her teasing and banter to the extreme.
Gu Zhongsheng quickened his pace in silence, his figure darting swiftly through the dark jungle.
The mutated animals lurking in the night fled upon sensing Gu Zhongsheng's arrival, allowing them to proceed smoothly.
"This is it. See if this is what you're looking for."
Gu Zhongsheng stopped, and Lin Zhenzhen released her hands from his neck and jumped down.
A large open area in front of us was covered with plants that resembled dandelions.
To Lin Zhenzhen's surprise, their huge fluffy ball would glow at night, and it was a flashing green light.
The alternation between light and darkness is slow and regular, somewhat resembling a long, languid breath.
"That's right." Lin Zhenzhen was hesitant to approach. "Could this mutated plant also have consciousness?"
"You'll know once you try it." Gu Zhongsheng stepped forward and reached out to pluck the pom-pom from the top of one of the flowers.
He paused for a moment: "I didn't hear any screams, and I'm not conscious."
Lin Zhenzhen: ......This verification method is really simple and crude.
"That's good." Otherwise, she really wouldn't have been able to bring herself to do it.
Gu Zhongsheng looked at the large, hairy thing with a hint of disdain.
"These are its seeds, and you can't eat them, so why did you pick them?"
Lin Zhenzhen buried her head in the fluffy ball in Gu Zhongsheng's arms and felt its softness.
"Great, this size is perfect for sleeping on."
"Use it as a sleeping mat?" Gu Zhongsheng frowned. "Women are such a hassle."
Lin Zhenzhen was too lazy to explain to him. She rolled up her sleeves and prepared to get down to business.
But when Lin Zhenzhen got closer, she realized that this thing was even taller than she had imagined.
She seemed...out of reach, and even when she jumped, she still couldn't reach it.
Left with no other option, Lin Zhenzhen turned to look at Gu Zhongsheng.
He crossed his arms over his chest, appearing detached from the situation.
Lin Zhenzhen waved to him: "Don't just stand there like an idiot, come and help me pick some."
Her voice rose slightly at the end, like a small hook that landed precisely on Gu Zhongsheng's heart.
He moved his Adam's apple, clenched his teeth, and suppressed the strange feeling surging in his heart.
Gu Zhongsheng stepped forward and shoved the lump of stuff in his hand into her hands.
"Move aside."
Lin Zhenzhen was happy to have some free time and obediently took the things.
As soon as he turned his head, he saw Gu Zhongsheng wave his right hand, and a fierce wind blade swept out, immediately knocking down a large number of the originally upright "dandelions".
She quickly spoke up to stop them: "That's enough, that's enough. You don't need that many. Just pick two or three."
At this rate, this whole area will be bald by tomorrow.
"Tch, I know."
Gu Zhongsheng quickly selected the largest flowers from those that had fallen to the ground.
"These few?"
"Okay, okay, let's go."
Lin Zhenzhen felt a little dizzy.
A strange sense of pleasure and ease washed over her, and it was as if a series of dazzling fireworks were blooming before her eyes.
Lin Zhenzhen shook her head and jumped into Gu Zhongsheng's arms.
This natural and intimate gesture startled Gu Zhongsheng for a moment.
"So many fluffy things, let me carry them all for you."
Lin Zhenzhen took the fluffy item that was originally in Gu Zhongsheng's hand.
But because their fur was so fluffy, she couldn't wrap her arms around it.
They could only watch helplessly as they slipped out of my arms like hydrogen balloons with a "poof".
Gu Zhongsheng reacted quickly, using one hand to grab the unruly fluffy feathers back.
Gu Zhongsheng heard Lin Zhenzhen's laughter, and when he looked down, he saw that most of her face was buried in the fur.
Only a pair of bright, sparkling eyes were visible.
Gu Zhongsheng's lips curled up for no apparent reason: "What are you humming?"
"I'm singing!" Lin Zhenzhen tilted her head and shouted at the top of her lungs.
"A chicken in her left hand, a duck in her right, and a chubby baby on her back, oh my gosh~"
