Chapter 198 Apocalyptic Boss vs. Fox Human-Human Mutant 33

Using the feather that Gu Bosheng brought as a pillow, Lin Zhenzhen slept quite well for the rest of the night.

And for the first time ever, I broke the curse of my 6:30 am biological clock and slept until late morning.

Lin Zhenzhen stretched and then walked out of the room.

She stood on the tree branch, closed her eyes, and took several deep breaths.

The fresh air filled my lungs, and my mood improved as well.

Lin Zhenzhen opened her eyes and reached out to stroke the trunk of the giant sequoia; "Good morning, big tree."

A gentle breeze blew by, and the branches of the giant sequoia swayed softly, making a rustling sound, as if responding to her greeting.

Lin Zhenzhen slowly climbed down the tree, and when she turned around, she saw a zombie that was dark green all over.

He was dressed in bright-colored clothes and was short in stature, though by comparison to other zombies.

In front of Lin Zhenzhen, he was still a behemoth.

The zombie slowly stepped forward and handed her the two jars it was holding.

Lin Zhenzhen took it with a puzzled look on her face and saw that it contained rice and salt.

"Did Gu Zhongsheng give this to me?"

Upon hearing her question, the short zombie shrank back in fear.

Lin Zhenzhen then noticed that there were two dark strands hanging down at his temples. Although they were rather sparse, they looked like hair.

Lin Zhenzhen's gaze slowly moved downwards.

It's bulging, and it has a chest!

"You're a girl?"

The zombie had its head down, clutching the corner of its clothes, looking docile and unassuming.

Can you understand me?

The female zombie remained staring blankly into the air, showing no reaction whatsoever.

"Okay, thank you anyway!"

Lin Zhenzhen turned her gaze to the thing in her hand.

She originally planned to make a bowl of fragrant lean meat porridge.

Now that we have the most precious rice and salt, we can barely scrape off a little meat from the leftover chicken carcass from last night.

We have all the ingredients; the biggest problem now is how to start a fire.

The fact that Gu Bosheng and Gu Zhongsheng have both disappeared means that she has no external help to rely on.

After much thought, it seemed that she could only resort to the most primitive method—making fire by friction.

Lin Zhenzhen collected some dead wood from the surrounding area and piled them together.

She extended the sharp claws hidden in her fingertips, aimed at a piece of dead wood, and forcefully dug out a groove.

Then place a dead leaf under the groove, and then insert another slightly thinner twig.

Next, it's time to start the crazy back-and-forth spinning.

The female zombie who had been silent beside him suddenly moved.

She slowly approached and handed Lin Zhenzhen a dark, indistinct object.

Lin Zhenzhen stopped what she was doing, looked closely, and was pleasantly surprised to find that what she was holding in her hand was actually a tinderbox.

"It seems you understand what I mean!"

Lin Zhenzhen took the tinder and blew a heavy breath onto the top of the head.

With the help of tools, she was able to start a fire easily.

Lin Zhenzhen used the earthenware pot as a cooking vessel, placed it on the fire, and poured in water and shredded chicken.

Cover the pot again and simmer for about an hour.

The pottery jar is too big; it would be nice to have a tool that can divide it into smaller portions.

Lin Zhenzhen turned to the female zombie: "Can you help me find the bowl?"

The female zombie tilted her head, her small eyes filled with great confusion.

Lin Zhenzhen then reached out and gestured a round shape.

Just then, the birds that had been perched in the bushes suddenly took flight, followed by the roar of engines not far away.

A black figure burst through the forest and sped away.

After tracing a beautiful arc in the air, the motorcycle came to a steady stop in front of Lin Zhenzhen.

A man in a gray-white uniform rolled off the car.

His eyes were covered with a black cloth, and his mouth was stuffed with a strip of cloth.

Both hands were bound with hemp rope, allowing them to move only within a very limited area.

Lin Zhenzhen noticed that his fingers were constantly groping on the ground, as if he was looking for something.

Gu Zhongsheng faced the zombie horde behind him, letting out a low whimper.

Two zombies immediately stepped forward, picked the man up from the ground, and walked into the depths of the forest.

After they had walked a distance, Lin Zhenzhen asked, "Who is he?"

"Researchers at the headquarters laboratory."

Gu Zhongsheng's voice was low and hoarse, as if it had been sanded.

They actually kidnapped the people from headquarters and brought them back?

Lin Zhenzhen felt a vague unease: "What do you want to do?"

Gu Zhongsheng turned around.

The dark green scars on his face gradually faded, revealing a handsome and refined face.

His pupils, which shimmered with golden light, narrowed slightly, and a sinister aura emanated from his smile.

You'll find out soon enough.

Lin Zhenzhen smelled the strong stench of blood on him and frowned, asking, "How many people have you killed?"

"Probably a few hundred," Gu Zhongsheng said casually. "Unfortunately, he got away."

"Him?" Lin Zhenzhen grasped the key point. "Who ran away?"

"Why do you ask so many questions?" Gu Zhongsheng raised an eyebrow at her. "Curiosity killed the cat, you know?"

“I’m not a cat,” Lin Zhenzhen added. “At most, I’m half a fox, a nine-tailed fox with nine lives. I’m naturally brave, I’m not afraid!”

Gu Zhongsheng smiled, but still did not answer her question directly.

His nose twitched slightly a few times before he turned his gaze to the pots and pans placed behind Lin Zhenzhen.

What are you cooking?

"Oh, by the way. I used the rice and salt you gave me to cook some lean meat porridge."
