Gu Zhongsheng had a smile on his face.
Suddenly realizing that she had gone to such lengths for Gu Bosheng, she lost interest and simply gave a faint "Oh".
"What's wrong? You look so tired." Lin Zhenzhen stood on tiptoe and brushed away the stray hairs that had fallen across his forehead. "Didn't you sleep well last night?"
Gu Zhongsheng slapped her hand away expressionlessly: "Have you ever seen a zombie resting at night?"
Lin Zhenzhen retorted defiantly, "Then you're not exactly a fully-fledged zombie either."
Gu Zhongsheng glanced at her sideways: "It will happen soon."
Lin Zhenzhen was puzzled, but judging from his expression, he was determined not to talk to her any further.
So Lin Zhenzhen didn't ask any more questions. She lifted the lid of the pottery jar and took a deep sniff.
"Hmm, it smells pretty good. Come and see what you think?"
Gu Zhongsheng didn't need to get close to see; he could smell the aroma of rice mixed with the smell of meat from a great distance.

"Not good, I'm not interested in human food."
"Tch, that's really disrespectful." Lin Zhenzhen pouted.
"I put a lot of effort into cooking this; I almost blistered my hands when I started the fire."
As she spoke, she showed her hands, and sure enough, her originally delicate palms had two bloody marks from being rubbed raw.
Gu Zhongsheng's eyes darkened, and he leaned down to get closer to her.
He reached his hand to Lin Zhenzhen's lower back. He gently brushed his hand across her skin, causing Lin Zhenzhen to tremble involuntarily.
Gu Zhongsheng chuckled softly, changed the direction of his hand, pulled out the tinder that she had pressed under her body, and handed it back to the female zombie beside him.
"Since you're so delicate, don't try to be strong."
Lin Zhenzhen immediately retorted, "I'm not being delicate, I'm just not very skilled."
She stomped her foot angrily: "Ugh, can't you praise me a little?"
Gu Zhongsheng shook his head helplessly: "Fine, you're hardworking, resilient, and courageous, okay?"
"Add one more, someone with exceptional culinary skills."
“Okay, you’re the best.” Gu Zhongsheng’s eyes crinkled with a smile. “Childish.”
