Nangong Yao spent the night in a daze.
A woman soothed his agitation, but it only made him feel more humiliated.
It wasn't that he actively wanted to pamper a particular woman; rather, he was being schemed against by her, a thought that disgusted him.
However, he was powerless and could only turn into a beast under the influence of his burgeoning desires.
He could still hear the woman's cries, but Nangong Yao paid no heed. Even with the strong smell of blood, he couldn't stop. Only when he felt exhausted did he finally relax and fall asleep, without even bothering to clean the marks on his body. When he awoke in a daze, he only heard the woman's mournful cries, followed by an even stronger smell of blood.
He turned his head and saw that his very large bed, big enough for him to roll around on, was covered in blackened blood.
Sixin was kneeling on the ground, crying in fear.
The glaringly black blood had not yet completely congealed when Nangong Yao found himself sleeping in it. Even with his vast experience, his heart pounded wildly.
The horror of that moment almost made him weak in the knees.
"What happened?!" Amidst the pungent smell of blood, Nangong Yao trembled as he got out of bed and moved far away from the bloodstains.
He suddenly felt that something in him was incredibly soft.
Whether it was from exhaustion yesterday or from being startled by the glaring bloodstains, Nangong Yao looked down in shock at a certain place that should have been full of energy every morning.
Si Xin curled up into a ball, staring at the blood on the bed.
She was a gentle girl by nature, and had never witnessed such a scene before. Thinking back to last night, when Alice, pale-faced, pushed open the door demanding to be taken to the hospital, and the blood flowing from her lower body, she almost cried herself to sleep. She didn't even see Nangong Yao staring at her private parts in panic, and just cried, "It's, it's..." Although she didn't particularly like Alice, she knew that if anything happened to Alice, Nangong Yao wouldn't forgive her, and sobbed, "It's Alice's blood."
"What?!" Nangong Yao's face turned pale instantly.
He thought of the woman's weeping and pleas as he struggled through the night.
He wasn't a man who knew nothing; he stared at Si Xin in disbelief.
“It wasn’t you yesterday!” he suddenly asked sharply.
He remembered that he had indeed grabbed a woman, and he thought that the woman was Sixin, so he was particularly rough with her. But could it be Alice?
Is she the woman carrying his child?
Don't be fooled by Nangong Yao's cold-heartedness towards women who are pregnant with his child, sending them to the hospital the moment they come knocking; Ai Li is different.
She stood before him, her pregnant belly a clear indication that this woman was bearing his child. Besides, the hospital was clean and tidy; he wouldn't see the child being taken away, so there wouldn't be any psychological trauma. But what was happening now? Nangong Yao was covered in blood, the bed a scene straight out of a horror movie. Even with his strong mental fortitude and ruthless nature, Nangong Yao couldn't withstand this.
It's enough to give someone a nightmare.
Nangong Yao felt that when he wanted to pamper a woman, the first thing that came to mind was probably this bloody and horrific scene.
How can the lovemaking continue after that?
"Aili, Ai Li chased me away." Thinking of how Ai Li had angrily called her despicable last night and even drugged Nangong Yao, Si Xin felt utterly speechless.
She really only made a bowl of soup and did nothing else, but she made the soup herself without asking anyone else to do it. Even if someone accused her of framing her, there would be no evidence to prove it.
Thinking of this, Si Xin was truly terrified. Looking at Nangong Yao's cold and hateful face, and seeing the blood congeal on his body, she couldn't help but cry even more, sobbing as she said, "She said I'm not allowed to get close to Brother Yao."
What did it mean to prevent Si Xin's evil scheme from succeeding? To prevent her from getting into Nangong Yao's bed as she wished? To scold her for not being able to live without a man? Ai Li locked Si Xin out of the door and went to take care of Nangong Yao, who was like a wild beast. Si Xin couldn't see anything, only heard the woman's screams and pleas for mercy, which then turned into shrill cries.
After that, Alice came out covered in blood and collapsed in front of her.
The maid called an ambulance and took the badly injured Alice away. Si Xin stayed by Nangong Yao's side until dawn, as he fell into a deep sleep and was satisfied.
During this waiting period, Sixin felt not only panic, but also even more pain.
She didn't know what punishment she would face when Nangong Yao woke up. All she knew was that no matter how Nangong Yao hurt or insulted her, she would never leave this man.
"Where's Alice?" Nangong Yao looked at the shocking bloodstains on his body, a flash of disgust crossing his face, and asked coldly.
"I'm at the hospital," Si Xin said timidly.
She had barely finished speaking when she saw a maid standing at the door with a cold face, gently knocking.
Nangong Yao summoned a servant and asked with a frown, "What is it?"
“Miss Alice lost her baby.” The maid said in a low voice, her head bowed. “She fainted and someone is taking care of her. She said she wanted to tell you something.” Without even looking at the pitiful Si Xin on the ground, the maid said softly, “Her baby is gone. It’s just that we were not meant to be. Please give her some money. She will not stay in this place of sorrow and will never have anything to do with you again.”
For a servant, this is the ideal lover—someone who will never cause trouble for Nangong Yao. As for those who don't meet this standard, they're like Si Xin.
Look what they've done to President Nangong.
So much blood, who can bear it in the future?
"Give it to her." Nangong Yao also didn't want to see Alice anymore.
