Every time he sees her, he is reminded of that blood-stained bed.
He readily agreed, and the servant went to do it, returning shortly afterward.
“Miss Alice has already left,” he said softly.
Although he acted rather quickly, Nangong Yao felt that Aili was very sensible. Giving her so much money as compensation was a good deal, so he turned his cold gaze to Sixin.
He simply didn't know how to punish this woman, because it was this woman who had led him to this predicament, to the point that he had personally killed his own child. The thought of venting his lust on a woman carrying his child, a child that died because of his desire, filled even the most hard-hearted person with immense despair.
He no longer knew what to say to express his feelings.
"You get out too," he said suddenly, indifferently. "Get out of the Nangong family."
"Brother Yao!" Si Xin cried and rushed over, hugging Nangong Yao's leg.
She pressed her face against Nangong Yao's skin, tears streaming down her face, and pleaded, "Don't send me away."
He was her life; if he didn't want her anymore, she couldn't go on living.
Nangong Yao showed a look of disgust. He hadn't expected that Si Xin was such a woman who couldn't be shaken off once she got close to him.
The beautiful, gentle, pure, and innocent girl who once captivated him seems like nothing more than a dream, merely an image he imagined in his mind.
The real her was so scheming, so repulsive and disgusting. Nangong Yao felt utterly fooled. The sudden realization that the girl he once loved had changed so drastically made him very unhappy. He simply kicked Si Xin away and sneered, "What? Your mother's clinging to my father, and you want to cling to me?"
"I really like you," Si Xin said, shaking her head and crying.
"like?"
"I'm your woman now, Brother Yao." Si Xin nodded vigorously, her eyes blurry with tears as she pleaded pitifully. She rubbed her hands together, weeping, and said, "Have you forgotten how happy we used to be?"
She wouldn't regret breaking ties with her mother and sister for this man; she would do anything for him, just to stay by his side. Was this love? Wasn't that enough? Her mother, Si Jiali, could marry Nangong Cheng; they were destined for each other too. Thinking of these painful things, Si Xin looked up at Nangong Yao expectantly.
They can get married, fall in love, and live a very happy life.
Anyone who tries to break them up is their enemy, and no matter how many misunderstandings there are, they will still stay together.
She felt that this was their future all along.
"I have many women." Nangong Yao was clearly not in the mood for romance. He sneered, looked down at the haggard girl, and curled his lips into a mocking smile.
"You think you can become the mistress of the Nangong family just by sleeping with me once?"
He couldn't help but think of his first time with Si Xin, when the same girl seduced him in her pajamas. So that's what she was planning. Sleeping with him once, and he could marry her? Was she dreaming too much? The more Nangong Yao thought about Si Xin's scheming to marry into the Nangong family, the more he felt that Si Xin was inferior to those women who openly made demands of him.
Those women are at least honest; they don't use the guise of true love to seek more benefits.
This kind of scheming is disgusting!
“I’m different!” Si Xin cried out.
“You’re the same as them. Except they want money, while you,” Nangong Yao unleashed all his anger on the girl, wanting only to hurt her with the coldest voice, and said disdainfully, “It’s free now, but you’ll want more later, huh?!”
Or perhaps, Si Xin is plotting something even more cunning.
If she gets pregnant, she probably won't be as easy to deal with as Alice.
Nangong Yao is proud.
The more arrogant a person is, the angrier they will be when they find themselves being manipulated by a little girl.
He lowered his head, looking at Si Xin, who was clinging tightly to his shoulders and sobbing uncontrollably. He couldn't help but think of Si Chun, who refused to turn back in the face of his wealth. Perhaps she had climbed up to Dongfang Xuan, and therefore looked down on him, but Nangong Yao always felt that Si Chun was a more innocent girl than Si Xin.
The girl's eyes held a clear distinction between love and hate; she either liked or disliked something, and no matter how rich he was, he couldn't make her see him. This feeling made Nangong Yao lower his eyes slightly.
He bent down and, as if holding the most intimate lover, took a strand of long, black hair.
"Why not Sichun?" His voice, like a demon, burrowed into Sixin's ears.
She opened her eyes wide.
In the eyes of the man she loved, her younger sister was more pleasing to him than herself.
"Sichun is a hundred times cleaner than you." Nangong Yao pushed her away with disgust, turned around, frowned at the bloodstains on his body, and went to take a shower.
As the sound of rushing water reached her ears, Si Xin was curled up in a ball in her room, her eyes blank.
Nangong Yao denied her and her love; she had completely lost to her younger sister.
What's even more tragic is that she harbors a burning resentment towards her sister, yet she can't bear to resent the man she loves.
It's all... Sichun's fault.
If it weren't for Si Chun, Nangong Yao would only love her.
Si Xin covered her face in anguish, clutching her phone and desperately trying to call her mother, Si Jiali, but all she heard was a busy signal.
