Chapter 58 Unwavering Love (Part Two)

Every infected person turns into a zombie.

Shen Wangshu looked at the tall man who was quietly watching her, and her eyes suddenly became sore.

"You were bitten?" Mr. Ning was hurrying over to thank his savior when he heard this, and his expression immediately changed. He knew from what Shen Wangshu had said that this virus was very dangerous, not to mention that the nanny's strange behavior had already terrified him. He looked at the young man in front of him, and seeing that he was silent, and sure enough, there were drops of blood dripping onto the wooden floor behind him, he instinctively protected Shen Wangshu and Mrs. Ning.

His expression became conflicted, and he trembled, clearly terrified.

If this young man turns into a zombie, the first thing he'll eat is the Ning family of three!

Although Ning's father was wealthy, he was physically weak and had no chance of protecting his wife and daughter from the zombies' jaws.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have almost been bitten to death by the nanny.

"I'm leaving." Ah Xuan saw the fear in Ning's father's eyes, paused, and said in a low voice.

"Wait a minute." Calling someone out like that made Ning's father feel like he was an ingrate.

Although he was terrified, he couldn't help but reach out to stop the taciturn young man. His sharply defined face was remarkably calm, as if he showed no fear of death. After a long silence, the young man sighed and said, "It's so chaotic outside, where can you go? Our home may be simple, but we have plenty of rooms. You can stay here for now; maybe we're just scaring ourselves." His reason told him he should tell the young man to leave immediately.

But he couldn't bring himself to do something like betraying someone after they've served their purpose.

"Don't go." Shen Wangshu grasped the man's hand and pleaded softly.

"No matter what you become, I will love you." She walked around Ning's father, stood on tiptoe, and gently touched the man's cold, hard face. "No matter what you become, we will be together."

Even if Ah Xuan turned into a zombie, she didn't want to leave him. If they were to die, they would die together. She managed to express her feelings even before Ah Xuan did, wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, turned to her father and forced a smile, and said, "I remember the small storeroom at the very back on the second floor is locked with a steel door. Ah Xuan and I will move in later, so please don't open the door randomly."

She hesitated for a moment, then continued, "Ah Xuan and I will move in right away. If we can't get out..." She thought of her own space and gave a relieved smile.

She took out the pendant, and although she knew that if she didn't die, the pendant couldn't be given to Ning's father and mother, she still put it in Ning's father's hand.

She wanted to protect Ning's father and mother, but she also wanted to die with Ah Xuan.

"This is..." When Ning's father heard that Shen Wangshu actually meant to live and die with Ah Xuan, his vision went black.

He looked at his daughter with trembling eyes, then at the man who was actually visiting for the first time. But for some reason, he still sighed and nodded, saying, "This child has done us a favor, you did the right thing." He smiled reassuringly, looking lovingly at Shen Wangshu, whose eyes were blurry with tears, and said, "If it weren't for this young man, your mother and I would have died long ago. Even if something dangerous had happened, it would have been just a matter of being too late."

"No need to go to the small storeroom, just stay in this room." He patted Shen Wangshu's head.

"Dad." Shen Wangshu didn't know what to say to Ning's father.

“We’re old and weak. Without this child’s protection, if bad guys or zombies come in, we’ll all be dead,” Ning’s father said rationally. “Even if we die, we should die with some conscience.”

His expression was calm. He turned and stood in front of Shen Wangshu, holding hands with his smiling mother. There was no sign of reluctance. They both looked at Shen Wangshu with loving eyes. Ning's mother returned the pendant to Shen Wangshu with a smile and said, "It's yours, so keep it safe. As long as you're here, we're all here. If you're not here, your father and I won't have anything to rely on."

Although Shen Wangshu didn't have time to explain what the pendant was, Ning's mother guessed something.

"There are a lot of supplies here; it's a very large space."

"Keep it safe." Father Ning paused, then said with a smile, "We won't have to worry about going hungry for a while." His face was calm, completely devoid of any fear of Ah Xuan. He waved his hand, turned unsteadily, and walked towards the living room, whispering, "While there's still electricity, we should recharge it. Do you need a kitchen knife?" He asked Mother Ning out of the blue, and seeing a slight blank look on her calm and gentle face, he laughed and said, "It's perfect for self-defense and chopping vegetables; it's an essential item for any trip."

"What nonsense!" Ning's mother couldn't help but laugh and shake her head at Shen Wangshu. "I don't know what novels she's been reading, she's like she's bewitched."

"You've never even heard of such a classic as 'The Cleaver in the Rain,' you're really uncultured," Ning's father criticized.

Shen Wangshu was also not well-read... he really hadn't read this famous work.

But looking at Ning's parents, who seemed to have returned to their usual casual and cheerful self, and seeing that they showed no rejection towards Ah Xuan, she felt a warm glow in her heart.

She squeezed Ah Xuan's hand, sniffed hard, and felt that after transmigrating into the body of this gentle, wealthy young lady, she too had been influenced by her former emotions and become softer. However, she understood that this was Ning's parents' silent acceptance of Ah Xuan, even though he might soon become a zombie, they had already accepted him.

Ah Xuan's eyes fell on the elderly couple who were mocking each other. He turned his head and silently looked at Shen Wangshu.

His fingers stiffened for a moment before he gripped Shen Wangshu's hand tightly.
