Chapter 68 Unwavering Love Until Death (Part Twelve)

But a moment later, the smile on the zombie's face froze.

He yanked off his sunglasses and stared at a part of himself in disbelief.

He felt something in his body, and he had an urge to knead Shen Wangshu into his own body, but there was no movement there.

There was no movement!

The zombies were stunned.

Shen Wangshu chuckled.

"It's nothing, it's probably just a lack of energy. After you upgrade twice more, it should be fine." This... laughing at this moment is really unfair to the zombies, but seeing the inexplicable shock and ferocity on Ah Xuan's face, Shen Wangshu couldn't help herself. She laughed so hard she collapsed onto the bed, choking back tears as she said, "This is truly shooting yourself in the foot."

Ah Xuan seemed to want to do something inappropriate for children, but who knew that his physical condition couldn't keep up? She watched Ah Xuan struggle to take off his trousers in disbelief and burst out laughing.

Ah Xuan could hear Shen Wangshu's laughter all around him, and slowly, a look of shame and indignation appeared on his face.

What could be more infuriating than being mocked during your wedding night with your wife?

Perhaps only... he is comparable.

"Very soon!" He clenched his stiff fist fiercely, indicating that he would soon regain his former glory.

For this reason, he decided to hunt down more high-level zombies and devour crystal cores to level up as soon as possible.

This is related to his lifelong happiness.

"There's no rush, take your time, ah!" Shen Wangshu saw Ah Xuan fall on her in a wronged manner, and regretfully touched the space where she had stored a lot of condoms but couldn't use them. She hugged Ah Xuan's head and kissed him twice to show that she didn't dislike him.

However, every cloud has a silver lining. Because Ah Xuan had suffered such a great blow, Shen Wangshu didn't mention making him sleep on the floor again. The zombie, of course, wouldn't willingly give up his perk, and turned away as if nothing had happened, holding Shen Wangshu as they slept together. He didn't need to sleep; he just held Shen Wangshu, who could sleep peacefully in his arms, his gaze tender.

He lowered his head and kissed her forehead.

Even though there were no tears in Shen Wangshu's eyes, he still reached out and wiped them away.

He remembered the way she hugged him and cried, and he knew how much pain she was in when he became a zombie.

But he would still stay by her side, telling her that she had nothing to be afraid of.

A faint smile appeared on his face as he carefully adjusted his position to make Shen Wangshu more comfortable.

Shen Wangshu slept soundly until dawn.

She had just gotten up and didn't know what she and Ah Xuan were going to do today when she heard that another survivor had sent a distress signal not far from the base.

Shen Wangshu was still willing to rescue the survivors, especially after yesterday's setback. Ah Xuan was eager to try his luck at the crystal cores outside and wanted to kill more zombies to level up. The signal was urgent this time, and it seemed they wouldn't be able to hold on much longer. Shen Wangshu remembered there was a town there with some supplies to collect, so she accepted the mission.

Nan Lan and A Guang had nothing to do today, so they went for a walk together to relax.

To be honest, they were already high-level superhumans, so dealing with those zombies wasn't a difficult task for them.

Atu stayed at home to look after Ning's father and mother.

Shen Wangshu left him a bag of pork ribs, and the bald, burly man's eyes lit up when he saw it.

He eagerly chased after Shen Wangshu, urging her to come home early for sweet and sour pork ribs, and then devoutly headed towards the kitchen with the bag of ribs in his arms. Shen Wangshu smiled and rode in the same car with Nan Lan. The three of them and the zombie drove a single SUV at breakneck speed toward their destination.

With Ah Xuan's imposing aura clearing the way, few low-level zombies dared to venture out to their deaths. Only those zombies who considered themselves to be on par with Ah Xuan remained unaffected by the aura, drawn out by the scent of humans. However, they were immediately met with a light-based superpower. Ah Guang's superpower had recently been upgraded again, and even high-level zombies would find it difficult to escape being disintegrated upon encountering it.

Those who narrowly escape death from A-Guang's light-based superpowers will still be hit by a fireball from Nan Lan.

Nan Lan compressed the previously large fireball into an even smaller one, but the energy became even more explosive, filled with a scorching heat that Shen Wangshu found terrifying.

Under the fireball, almost all the zombies that had barely survived the light-based superpowers were burned to ashes.

However, saving lives was urgent, and there was no time to collect the crystal cores. Shen Wangshu wrote down the route and planned to collect them on the return trip.

The survivors of this rescue are all hiding in a warehouse in the town. The warehouse is very sturdy, with an automatic iron door that has now been lowered. The only two windows are fitted with thick iron bars, so even though there are many zombies surrounding the warehouse, they cannot get in.

Seeing that there were low-level zombies all around, Shen Wangshu breathed a slight sigh of relief, but something still made her uneasy. It seemed that ever since the SUV drove towards this warehouse, her vehicle had been under constant surveillance.

She leaned out of the car and looked around cautiously, but saw nothing.

Only the densely packed zombies in the warehouse were moving around.

Ah Xuan frowned and tilted his head slightly as if searching for something.

"What's wrong?" Nan Lan instinctively felt very uncomfortable.

"It feels like someone is watching us," Shen Wangshu murmured as she sat back in the car.

"Did Ah Xuan find anything?" Nan Lan asked, turning her head.

This wasn't the time to be angry with Nan Lan. Ah Xuan shook his head slightly, indicating that he hadn't noticed anything, but he said hoarsely, "There is someone."

He didn't see anyone, but every nerve in his body was telling him that they were being watched.
