Chapter 68 Unwavering Love Until Death (Part Twelve)

"Be careful, they might be a tough nut to crack." Whether it's a zombie or a living person watching them, the fact that Ah Xuan can't even detect it is quite alarming.

Nan Lan subconsciously touched the weapon at her waist. A Guang was already conjuring a flickering ball of light in his hand, and the SUV arrived at the warehouse door in the blink of an eye. The situation was still unclear, so Shen Wangshu pressed down on A Guang's hand, and a huge water sphere appeared in her own. She was the weakest of the group, and it was time for her to step in and ensure Nan Lan's fighting strength.

Water-based abilities rarely have a way to kill zombies, so Shen Wangshu's only option is to charge.

The giant water sphere transformed and hurtled towards the zombies at high speed, slamming them against the wall with a whooshing sound.

She watched as the densely packed zombies were unable to stand up and trampled each other. Just as she was about to continue her attack, she saw Ah Guang raise his hand and throw out a ball of light.

The zombies that were struggling to get up vanished instantly.

Shen Wangshu turned to look at A Guang.

As the handsome young man absorbed the energy from the crystal core, he gave Shen Wangshu a shy smile.

"Too slow," he said softly.

Shen Wangshu wasn't going to bother arguing with a little brat who only dared to have a crush on someone. She took a deep breath and answered him with a smile.

Ah Xuan was vigilantly surveying his surroundings when he roared threateningly at Ah Guang. Suddenly, the automatic iron door of the warehouse opened, and dozens of people excitedly ran out.

Having witnessed Ah Guang's heroic figure, they gathered around the car, tears streaming down their faces, to thank him profusely. They were all in poor spirits and thin, clearly having endured hardship in the apocalypse. However, having seemingly faced death, they were all deeply grateful to Shen Wangshu and his group, some even offering Ah Guang some expired food with great enthusiasm.

For them, food is the best gift of gratitude.

Ah Guang had never eaten expired food since Nan Lan rescued him from the roof of the car, so of course he wouldn't eat such a thing. However, he showed a shy smile and firmly refused the survivor's gratitude.

"It's all what I should do." He smiled shyly, his expression filled with pure and noble emotion.

Suddenly, praise for A-Guang came from all directions. Shen Wangshu's eyes twitched as he listened, and he almost didn't recognize the person being praised.

As she listened to the praises around her, she suddenly heard a woman's voice filled with surprise. The woman's voice was clear and familiar, penetrating the buzzing praises to reach Shen Wangshu's ears.

"The Light One?!"

At this startled cry, Shen Wangshu abruptly looked up.

She looked in the direction of the sound and saw a woman with a neat ponytail in the distance, supporting a slender, frail woman. The woman's face showed shock, as if she couldn't believe it. This woman had a resolute yet beautiful face, so familiar that Shen Wangshu couldn't ignore it. She quietly looked at the woman whose face was filled with doubt and confusion, seemingly not understanding why the Lightbringer was here, and suddenly a faint smile appeared on her face.

It turned out to be Song Xi.

She didn't die.

It's like searching high and low without finding it!

Although Shen Wangshu didn't say it, she always kept Song Xi, her good friend, in her heart.

This girl was deeply in love with her, and was so ruthless in her determination to kill her that she would never forget her, even in death.

After the apocalypse, Song Xi disappeared without a trace, and Shen Wangshu always kept her life and death in her heart. She even went to the mall where they had met before with Nan Lan and A Xuan to search for Song Xi's whereabouts.

Unfortunately, too much time had passed, and Song Xi had vanished without a trace. It was unknown whether she had escaped the mall, turned into a zombie and followed the zombie horde, or been eaten by zombies. However, Shen Wangshu noticed that the previous warehouse had signs of being pried open, but the large and sturdy lock had withstood the attack and remained intact.

She also saw an iron rod lying haphazardly on the ground, clearly dropped hastily.

Judging from this, Song Xi has probably run away.

She is still alive, but Shen Wangshu doesn't know where to look for her.

With such a large country, such a dense concentration of zombies, and so many bases, it would have been really difficult for her to find out where Song Xi had gone if she hadn't walked right into their trap.

However, she did not expect that she would reunite with Song Xi so easily.

She sat in the SUV, with the wary Ah Xuan beside her, and two high-level superhumans, Nan Lan and Ah Guang, in front of her. She hid behind the safest fortress, looking with a leisurely gaze at the woman who had once been high and mighty and always looked down on her weakness.

She looked terrible; she was terribly thin, her hair disheveled, and she seemed to have gone a long time without bathing. Her clothes were tattered, and she looked like a beggar. Her expression was panicked; although she tried to appear calm, the nervous grip on her long knife betrayed her.

The veins on the hand holding the knife were bulging.

She was looking at the SUV with surprise, then glanced at the shy and bashful Ah Guang, before her gaze fell on the composed Nan Lan beside Ah Guang, and she paused slightly.

A smile of reunion appeared on her face, but just as she was about to walk over, she saw Shen Wangshu sitting behind Nan Lan, leaning against the back of her car seat.

The woman with a gentle smile leaned on the shoulder of the short-haired, shrewd, and capable woman in front of her, saying something. The woman turned her head slightly, her face showing unmistakable indulgence and protection.

Song Xi stopped abruptly, staring at the gentle and submissive woman with a horrified look.

It turned out to be Ning Rou.
