"What do you want to do?" Nan Lan pointed coldly at Song Lei, who had shifted slightly, her fingertips gleaming with fire.
Her eyes burned with a cold flame, as if she would send Song Lei to his death if he dared to speak up for Song Xi.
The tall, handsome man silently glanced at Shen Wangshu, who was smiling innocently, and the three others, including A Xuan, who were also looking at him.
He had no doubt that if he dared to rebuke Shen Wangshu for killing someone in public, he would be going down to join that inexplicable woman the next moment. He remained silent for a long time, his large hand pressed on his waist, then slowly released his genitals and waved his hand, beckoning the survivors who were already trembling with fear to get into the vehicle at the base behind him. After thinking for a moment, he jumped off the vehicle and told them to take the survivors back, then walked over with a helpless expression.
"Don't make such a bad impact next time," he said helplessly. "Try to avoid people."
"Yes, sir." Shen Wangshu didn't mind showing that he was a law-abiding citizen.
Anyway, Song Xi, who had a grudge against her, had already been stuffed into the mouth of a zombie by Ah Xuan.
"She really..." Song Lei asked hesitantly, "really hurt you?"
"Otherwise, what would I do with her life? Do you think I'm a serial killer?" Shen Wangshu paused slightly, looking at A Guang with a puzzled expression.
Although a pure smile played on the lips of the handsome young man, his gaze was fixed on a nearby family of three, trembling as they watched him. Even after Song Lei had called the survivors to the car, the three hadn't followed, instead staring at the smiling young man with terrified eyes. Shen Wangshu sensed a growing malice in A-Guang's eyes and, after a moment's thought, lowered her voice and asked, "Is this your family?"
“Yes.” Ah Guang tilted his head, revealing a pure smile.
"The one who left you on the street?" Nan Lan suddenly asked.
Ah Guang smiled and nodded, then called out to the hesitant family of three in the distance.
A well-off father, a beautiful mother, and a well-fed, shiny young master... they really look very happy.
Shen Wangshu sighed softly.
Song Lei's gaze immediately became wary.
After spending so much time together, he finally realized that Ning Rou's gentle, kind, and amiable demeanor was merely a facade; the real Ning Rou possessed a ruthless and decisive heart. He couldn't help but frown and ask, "These three don't have a grudge against you either, do they?"
"Unfortunately, it really is." Shen Wangshu smiled and glanced at A Guang, speaking gently.
She lowered her head, revealing half of her snow-white neck, as delicate as a flower swaying in the wind, yet Song Lei's eyes ached. He covered his forehead, unsure what to say, as Song Xi's agonizing screams still echoed from the warehouse. He said nothing more, simply waving his hand and turning away, pretending not to see it.
This was practically tacit approval and indulgence. Shen Wangshu's eyes lit up slightly, and he nudged A Guang, who was sitting in the front row, on the shoulder, and said with a smile, "How do you want to kill him? Hurry up. Commander Song can't see for now."
Song Lei sighed again.
His head started to hurt even more.
Keep it down when you're doing something bad!
A-Guang's eyes suddenly lit up, but when he saw Nan Lan's expressionless face beside him, the excitement in his eyes turned into helplessness.
If... he wanted to kill his own father, wouldn't that make Nan Lan think he's cruel? Would his eldest son dislike cruel people, wouldn't he...?
"He abandoned you, abandoned your mother, cheated on you with a mistress, and even had a child with her?" Nan Lan exhaled a smoke ring, casually tossed the cigarette out of the car, turned her head, and looked at A Guang, who nodded in agreement, with a quiet gaze. She chuckled and said, "I remember you said that to save that woman, he pushed your mother into the mouth of a zombie, causing her to be bitten. That's truly a great act of love, so touching."
She stopped looking at A-Guang, gave A-Xuan, who was standing outside the warehouse, a look, and said casually, "Another opportunity to test their relationship has come. This time, we can see if they are truly in love."
"How do we authenticate it?" Shen Wangshu asked eagerly.
Ah Xuan sneered, feeling that Nan Lan had actually stolen the limelight and made the zombies very unhappy.
“Aren’t there two zombies in the warehouse? Send these two in. If, in a life-or-death situation, this gentleman is still willing to protect this lady and is willing to die himself, then that’s true love,” Nan Lan said slowly.
"Boss?!" Ah Guang was stunned.
“That little brat…” Nan Lan scoffed and said, “Don’t say the child is innocent.”
"You can decide for yourselves." That was A-Guang's family matter, and Shen Wangshu wouldn't interfere. She simply called A-Xuan to come to her.
The tall, imposing zombie scurried over and nuzzled against her. Seeing Nan Lan help Shen Wangshu and A Guang out of the car, it quickly pushed Nan Lan aside and leaned on Shen Wangshu's shoulder to look at the terrified family. It glanced at A Guang, then at the family of three, and for the first time didn't mock the boy. It simply roared, pointing hoarsely to the now silent warehouse, and said, "Not full."
The two advanced zombies had a very good appetite.
A-Guang silently looked at the boy, who was about his age. He thought of many things: his mother's suffering because of the two of them intruding into their home; this boy, about his own age, pushing him to the ground and urging his father to run away; the boy's smug expression as he sat in the back seat of the car, mocking him as if bidding him farewell. He thought of so many things, but a slow smile crept onto his lips as he whispered, "Don't send him to feed the zombies. Keep him here and let him fend for himself."
