He didn't want this brother to die, but rather to experience the pain of struggling to survive in the end times with nothing.
Even if he has a miraculous encounter in the future and gains the same unparalleled power as he does now, he will not be afraid.
He told him to eke out a living in the end times, to live each day in fear, just as he had before.
As for his father and his mistress, Ah Guang smiled innocently and said softly, "These two should just be given to the zombies." They personally pushed his mother into the zombies' mouths, so it's only fair that they receive the same treatment. They caused his mother over a decade of suffering, so they should naturally pay for it. As her son, he had no right to offer a word of forgiveness on her behalf. He had never even considered forgiving them. He pointed at the boy, then looked at the trembling man and woman.
"Either you drive away yourself, or you and your parents feed the zombies. The choice is yours," he said with a smile.
The delicate and refined woman suddenly turned her gaze to her only son.
The boy was so frightened that he was almost kneeling on the ground. He looked with terrified eyes at the warehouse from which the roars of zombies were coming, and then at his father and mother who looked pleading.
It was as if his decision was of great importance to them.
He shuddered, and under Ah Guang's effeminate gaze, he said nothing more, snatched the car keys from his father's hand, and ran away.
The portly man seemed stunned by the outcome, watching in shock as his beloved son abandoned him in the face of death, getting into his car without looking back and speeding away. He opened his mouth, as if to call out to his son, but in the end, he looked at his other son with despair. The woman had collapsed helplessly to the ground, clutching his clothes and sobbing softly.
Her face was streaked with tears, yet her makeup remained impeccable, making her incredibly pitiful.
"It seems your son made the decision for you." What is the most hurtful thing? Shen Wangshu felt that what was right in front of her was it.
The father and mother who were abandoned by their son deserved their bad luck.
Ah Xuan strode up to the two men, looked down at them, and dragged them into the warehouse with his stiff, cold hand.
Halfway there, the man suddenly screamed at Ah Guang, his voice shrill, "Ah Guang, Ah Guang! Daddy was wrong! It's all Daddy's fault, Daddy was deceived by them!" The well-maintained, plump man wailed, tears and snot streaming down his face, shouting, "Daddy loves you, loves your mother! Daddy knows he was wrong!"
He spoke recklessly, hoping only that his son would let him off the hook, completely ignoring the woman standing beside him with a dazed look in her eyes.
"How much Mom wanted to hear those words," A-Guang said with a faint smile on his beautiful face.
He seemed to have become much more vulnerable. He called out to Nan Lan and buried himself in Nan Lan's cold, hard embrace.
Shen Wangshu narrowed his eyes.
The boy seemed incredibly sad and in need of comfort, but what was that upturned corner of his mouth that she vaguely saw?
"Boss, I'm feeling really bad," A-Guang said, rubbing against Nan Lan's shoulder and choking back tears.
Nan Lan rarely saw this boy so helpless and afraid. After a moment of silence, she reached out and hugged him, saying softly, "Don't be afraid, I'm here for you."
"Mmm!" The boy looked up, his eyes glistening with tears, but his gaze toward Nan Lan was full of dependence.
Shen Wangshu was disgusted. Hearing a man's piercing scream and then the boy's feigned helplessness, she staggered and steadied herself against the SUV. She saw Ah Xuan easily carry the two men to the warehouse door, and with a clatter, he pulled open the iron gate. Inside, she saw two zombies suppressed by Ah Xuan's aura, unable to move. Not far from the zombies, on the ground, lay a woman covered in blood.
Her body and face were covered in large wounds from the zombies' gnawing, her skin torn open, revealing her stark white bones, yet she was not dead, lying on her back, convulsing on the ground.
Ah Xuan threw the man and woman into the warehouse, roared at the two eager zombies, and ignored the two pushing each other, forgetting their years of love and pushing each other in front of the zombies. He bent down and dutifully dragged the dying Song Xi to Shen Wangshu's front.
The once shrewd and capable woman lay on the ground, staring blankly at Shen Wangshu, who was looking down at her from above, barely able to breathe.
"You!" She knew her body was changing, and amidst the excruciating pain was a very distressing feeling—the feeling that she was about to become a zombie.
"How does it feel to be eaten piece by piece by zombies?" Shen Wangshu looked at Song Xi, whose eyes were splattered with blood and who was looking at him with fear.
She stood beside Song Xi, unconcerned about the blood staining her dress, and leaned down to admire Song Xi's battered and tormented state. She smiled slightly, a smile as clear and captivating as morning dew, her eyes innocent and naive, exactly like Ning Rou in Song Xi's memory. This always pure and obedient woman reached out and lifted Song Xi's hair, lowering her voice to ask, "How does it feel to know you're about to become a zombie?"
"It really hurts," Shen Wangshu said softly, recalling how Ning Rou felt when she was bitten to death by a zombie in a shopping mall in her previous life.
How scared was Ning Rou at that time? How much pain was she in?
She watched helplessly as zombies pounced on her and devoured her, wanting to call for help, but no one came to her rescue.
She thought her best friend had put her into the mouth of a zombie.
