"You even prey on such a delicate woman."
"How dare you!" Mr. Sheng roared in fury. "Is this how you talk to your parents?!"
"I only care about right and wrong, it has nothing to do with whose son I am!" The man's resolute voice reached Chu Xiangyun's ears, but her eyes, though sparkling, fell on another surprised man at the door.
That was Gao Sen, impeccably dressed and handsome, exuding the unique charm of a mature man. He held a bouquet of roses in his hands, their color like fresh blood, dazzling yet vibrant, like a heart overflowing with love, or perhaps like the wounds Chu Xiangyun was painfully stung by this bright red. The large bouquet of roses made the man's face flush red.
Gao Sen, of course, had no idea that she had returned to the Sheng family villa today.
He came here, of course, not to take her back to the Gao family.
The bouquet of roses made Chu Xiangyun immediately realize that it was for the second young lady of the Sheng family.

With a touch of tenderness in his eyes, he reached out his hand and whispered, "Can you still stand up?" Just those words rekindled hope in Chu Xiangyun's heart.

"You scoundrel!" The old couple of the Sheng family were still alive, how could they bear to see their former son-in-law treating another woman so gently in front of them? Sheng's mother immediately wanted to curse.

But his parents could never understand his yearning for freedom, keeping him confined to the Sheng family's company and forcing him to look at money-grubbing and twisted businessmen every day.
