He Yang's face grew increasingly grim. Seeing his former lover smiling sweetly in someone else's arms, he felt extremely uncomfortable.
With the auspicious time fast approaching, He Yang coughed, interrupting Qiu Rui and Xiang Wan's eye contact, and gestured for them to enter the hotel lobby: "The wedding is about to begin, please come in. I need to go and make some preparations. Please make yourselves at home!"
Just as he was about to enter the hall, He Yang turned back and added, "Thank you for coming." Then, he hurried into the inner room.
As soon as He Yang left, Xiang Wan withdrew her hand and said seriously, "Qiu Rui, you've helped and shown your face. If you have something to do, you can go back. I don't need you to accompany me."
"What, you just use it and then throw it away?"
Qiu Rui spoke rudely, and Xiang Wan frowned, saying, "That's not what I meant, I..."
"That's not what I meant. What did I mean then?" Qiu Rui stared intently at Xiang Wan, his expression turning cold. "Or do you mean you want to rekindle your relationship with your ex-boyfriend?"
Xiang Wan was shocked. What was this guy thinking? The other person was about to get married, and she wasn't lacking in men. Why was she so fixated on this one guy? Besides, she was just attending a wedding, so how did he come to think she was stealing someone else's marriage?
"Qiu Rui, stop being unreasonable."
"Am I being unreasonable, or are you being unreasonable? Who would travel thousands of miles to attend their ex's wedding after a breakup? Do you think I'd believe it wasn't a disruptive act?"
Xiang Wan was speechless. What kind of logic did this person have? She just wanted to say goodbye to the past and have nothing to do with He Yang anymore. How did it become like this in his eyes?
The wedding march had already started, and with Qiu Rui's antics, Xiang Wan lost all interest in going inside to see the scene. She pulled him to the workbench at the back of the hall to prevent him from going out and causing trouble.
She had a premonition that if she didn't make things clear now, this person might go crazy.
