After a struggle, the snake's body was pockmarked, many scales had fallen off, and in some places, flesh and blood were exposed. The remaining scales were uneven, but all were very strong and sharp. Xiang Wan had her eye on a scale on its back that was larger than a palm.
The snake suddenly raised its head warily, adopting a defensive posture.
Xiang Wan hurriedly reassured him, "Don't panic, don't panic, I just want to borrow something from you."
Xiang Wan extended a stone shard and scratched it against the lizard's leg, continuing, "See, the stone shard can't cut at all; your scales are more useful. How about you give me a shard, and I'll cut some meat for you to eat? How about that?"
The snake slowly retreated, its head swaying from side to side. Xiang Wan then stretched out her palm and showed it to the snake: "Look, my hand is all red from being rubbed. The stone slab can't cut through the lizard skin at all. Just now, it took me a long time to cut off one of your legs. If you want to eat the tender meat inside, I don't know when it will take. I'm doing this for your own good."
The snake continued to shake its head and retreated a short distance.
Damn it, Xiang Wan got angry and started yelling: "Are you going to lend it to me or not? If you don't, you'll go hungry today, and you'll go hungry forever. Let the lizard rot and stink in the water, and neither of us will have an easy time!"
Despite all her pleading and cajoling, Xiang Wan refused to believe that the snake, having just exhausted so much energy, would abandon perfectly good meat to go out and catch other live prey.
In her anger, Xiang Wan completely forgot that she was also a living being and could easily fill the snake's belly. Unfortunately, she couldn't remember this herself, while the system watched the show with a smug look on its face.
The snake stopped moving, tilted its head slightly as if thinking, then turned and bit a scale, pulling it off sharply and throwing the whole thing, skin and flesh, right in front of Xiang Wan.
That move was so cool! Xiang Wan happily took the scale in her hand and vigorously wiped it with a strip of cloth, unable to put it down.
The snake, silently licking its wound, turned its head and saw Xiang Wan's expression. Its vertical pupils flickered slightly, and then it stopped looking at Xiang Wan and focused on smearing saliva on its wound with its tongue.
With scales, cutting meat becomes much easier than before. That's why they say a good chef always needs a good knife first.
Xiang Wan swiftly sliced off pieces of meat from the lizard's thigh, neatly arranging them on the bank. The snake, having finished treating all its wounds, came to Xiang Wan's side, flicked its tongue, and swallowed all the meat.
After cutting off one leg, the snake wasn't full, so Xiang Wan cut off another, but it still wasn't full. The two legs together were already three times her size! Damn snake, its appetite was way too big!
After resting briefly on the shore and adjusting her internal energy to relieve the soreness in her body, she saw the lizard leap into the air and crash down in front of her with a "thud." The water on the lizard splashed all over Xiang Wan.
"Damn it, my clothes are barely dry, is this ever going to stop?"
Xiang Wan was so angry she jumped up and down. The snake poked its head out from behind the lizard, its vertical pupils slightly open, its head tilted to the side. Seeing this, Xiang Wan swallowed all her anger.
Damn it, it made a mistake and then tried to act cute, that's foul! A blatant foul! The worst part is, Xiang Wan has absolutely no way to deal with it!
The snake approached her again, its face full of expectation. Xiang Wan was absolutely furious. How she wished she couldn't read the snake's expression! Oh wait, when did she become so close to a snake?
Xiang Wan looked constipated and stood still. The snake actually used its head to push her against its rear, forcibly shoving her in front of the lizard's large tumor.
Ugh, wouldn't you say she was taken advantage of?! Should she retaliate?!
Xiang Wan mechanically turned around, her eyes blazing with anger.
The snake tilted its head and looked at her with an innocent expression.
Innocent? You bastard! Don't you know you can't touch a woman's buttocks?
The snake changed direction, raised its head, and waited patiently for evening to feed it, as obedient as a lapdog.
Xiang Wan was furious. She couldn't beat the snake in a fight, and getting angry was pointless since she couldn't understand snakes!
Turning around, with her face directly facing the tumor, Xiang Wan suddenly had a good idea.
She cut open the lizard's skin on the side, sliced off a large piece with its scales, and threw it directly at the snake's head. The snake swiftly opened its mouth, tilted its head back, and swallowed it.
Xiang Wan fed the snake several more pieces, and while the snake was swallowing, she quickly stabbed the knife into the fleshy lump, poured the foul-smelling green liquid inside into the piece of meat, rolled it up, and threw it at the snake.
The snake snatched the meat into its mouth and swallowed it.
Xiang Wan secretly gave the snake several large chunks of cabbage meat, which it swallowed whole.
After emptying the fluid from one tumor, Xiang Wan moved to another spot and repeated the process. Just as she was rolling up the flesh, she heard the snake make a strange sound. Turning her head, she saw that the snake, which had previously looked like it was waiting to be fed, was now curled up and rubbing against the ground, seemingly in pain.
Before Xiang Wan could react, the snake opened its massive mouth and sprayed a large amount of red, green, and yellow stuff all over her head and face. Her eyes were covered by bits of flesh, and her whole body felt thick and sticky. Xiang Wan remained turned away, unable to come to her senses for a long time.
It wasn't until the stench assaulted her nostrils that Xiang Wan suddenly raised her hand to wipe her face. Opening her eyes, she saw the snake facing her, its vertical pupils widening in a smile.
"Ahhhhh, I'm going to kill you!"
Xiang Wan shook her arms and legs, raised her scales, and lunged at the snake. At this moment, she didn't care about anything else; the snake had done it on purpose! It had deliberately sprayed her all over, just to retaliate for mixing lizard venom into her flesh!
The snake turned and slithered to one side, and Xiang Wan chased after it, trying to chop at its tail. It was infuriating! This snake had no good intentions; it was deliberately toying with her!
After running around the shore several times, Xiang Wan was exhausted and covered in sweat, but hadn't even touched a single snake scale. Frustrated and tired, her stomach started growling.
