Chapter 426 Bending That Orc (Part 15)

Chatting with Hu Lai along the way, Xiang Wan deduced from her snippets of conversation that Hu Lai was a human from a world similar to hers. She must have been reborn into the body of a female without beastman characteristics, abandoned by her tribe, and then rescued by them.

Moreover, she was quite adaptable. Once she realized she had come to the orc world, she quickly accepted the fact and even asked Xiang Wan some whimsical questions.

For example, can orcs of different races live together? What kind of offspring would they have? Do orcs eat their own kind? Have any orcs cut off their tails?

In the orc world, these were all taboos, but Xiang Wan didn't care; she treated them as jokes during their conversation. The more they talked, the more certain she became that Hu Lai, in her own world, was either a novelist or a delusional teenager, her mind filled with fantasies of coming here to save the world and becoming the protagonist.

In the original owner's life, she actually succeeded. After all, she was a female, and as long as she had enough males following her, she could indeed dominate a region in the beastman world.

As the saying goes, behind every successful woman, there is a group of men. Hu Lai is a typical example, but this time, Xiang Wan won't let her have her way.

Although it's unclear why the original owner didn't hate Hu Lai, that doesn't stop Xiang Wan from giving her a blow so that she'd honestly face reality.

Night completely enveloped the land. Relying on the reflection of the snow and the rocks winding along the river, the four people and one animal finally arrived at the valley where the hunting party was resting.

The hunting party's sentinel orcs had already spotted them, but seeing Bai San and Xiang Wan with other orcs and a wild beast by their side, they didn't make any rash moves and simply sent one of the orcs back to report.

Without the polar bear's approval, Xiang Wan and Bai San didn't dare to bring anyone into the shack, so they found a place to sit down and wait for them to come over.

The saber-toothed leopard shuddered, and its pack fell to the ground with a thud, splashing up a cloud of snow. It then collapsed onto a rock, panting heavily.

Shi Cong didn't seem to care and strolled around casually. Hu Lai, on the other hand, was a little nervous, unsure of what awaited her. Her hand, which was close to Xiang Wan's arm, kept clenching and unclenching.

Bai San was a little uneasy. Coming back at this time meant he would run into the group returning from fishing. If he were caught red-handed, it would be difficult to find an excuse. He couldn't help but glare at Xiang Wan, deeply regretting his soft heart and how he had ended up on Lao Yao's pirate ship.

Bai Da and Bai San were kneeling in front of the fire, looking somewhat embarrassed by the crowd watching them.

They're already grown up. Some members of the hunting team are even younger than the two brothers. How can they just watch their father beat them up? Don't they have any shame in the future?

Bai Niu didn't care about their reputation. Two grown men had just run off like that. What if something happened to them? How was he going to explain it to his daughter when they got back? This was a disaster, a complete disaster.

"Tell me, where did they go?"

Thinking of this, Bai Niu's face darkened even more. Those two rascals, slacking off in the tree, probably wouldn't have reported their two brothers missing if he hadn't caught them.

Seeing their grinning faces made me furious. Those were their brothers, and they hadn't come back by nightfall. Didn't they even bother to find him privately and discuss what to do? In front of everyone, I told them that the third and youngest brothers had sneaked out and made them cover for them. Now, I couldn't find an excuse to let them off the hook.

Bai Niu realized that these two brothers were deliberately trying to cause him trouble. The hunting team's harvest was already meager, and now this had happened. It would be good if the third and youngest brothers returned safely; if they didn't, he wouldn't have the face to go back to the tribe.

She had four male offspring, none of whom were easy to manage; they were all just a burden.

Bai Da stared at the fire, head bowed and silent. Bai Er turned his head and saw Bai Niu's expression, and immediately imitated his boss, keeping quiet no matter what.

The two cursed inwardly, "Damn youngest brother! It's bad enough that he's allowed the third brother to abduct females, but why are we the two of us suffering here?" If they could each abduct a female, they would reluctantly accept this punishment.

"Will you tell me or not!"

Bai Niu's voice rose another notch, and the veins on his hand holding the stick bulged out.

"Brother Niu, I think we should forget about it. They're still young, maybe they're just going out to play, and they'll probably be back soon."

The polar bear, with a stern face, uttered something even he himself didn't believe: The hunting party's harvest was poor, and if two more were injured, the losses would be even greater.

He had seen how Bai Niu disciplined his lads in the past. After a beating, they wouldn't be able to get up for at least ten days to half a month.

However, these kids are really outrageous and deserve to be taught a lesson, but we'll have to wait until we get back.

The white bull's expression softened slightly, but he didn't put down his stick, still hesitating whether to continue hitting, when a vigilant orc entered.

"Brother Xiong, Bai San and Bai Xiangwan are back."

Everyone turned their gaze in that direction, startling the orc who had delivered the message.

"However, they brought back two orcs and a wild beast."

Bai Da and Bai Er stood up excitedly and slipped out before anyone could react.

They've returned just in time; I must see them immediately and see what kind of females they've brought back.

As Bai Da and Bai Er left, everyone lit a torch and followed closely behind.

Standing on the rocky edge at the bottom of the valley, it saw two figures rushing towards it like the wind. The saber-toothed leopard was immediately displeased and roared, "Since when have these creatures stopped fearing even me?"

Xiang Wan called out to A Bao to calm him down. Then Bai Da and Bai Er came to her at the same time. By the dim light of the snow, they recognized the third and youngest brothers. Then they fixed their gaze on the other two beastmen with burning eyes.
