"Miss Cui, please don't be so polite. It's already this late, we can't keep going hungry."
As Lou Junxuan spoke, he opened the packaging bag and piled all the delicious food in front of Cui Shiwan.
"Alright, then I won't stand on ceremony."
Cui Shiwan picked up a bag and started eating.
When Xiang Wan saw the food, she realized that her stomach was full of water and she had nothing substantial. She wanted to reach out and take some, but she was too embarrassed to do so.
They ate happily on both sides, chatting as they ate.
Xiang Wan felt somewhat irritable.
Lou Junxuan clearly wanted to see her make a fool of herself, just to get revenge on her.
But can Xiang Wan compromise so easily?
She snapped her fingers and called out:
"Waiter, we'd like some food."
A nearby waiter approached and bowed, saying, "Excuse me, sir, all the food in the counter has been sold out. What's left are drinks. Would you like some?"
A muffled groan came from the side, but Xiang Wan ignored it and continued, "There's a convenience store upstairs. Could you please buy something to fill your stomach? Thank you."
"I'm sorry, but we are not allowed to leave during working hours. Even stepping outside the door is a violation. Please understand!"
A loud "pfft" came from the side, and bits of food sprayed all over Xiang Wan's body.
Xiang Wan was furious; when it came to being infuriating, she had never been afraid of anyone.
Xiang Wan told the waiter to go about his business, then got up, took a big gulp from the bottle, and looked at Lou Junxuan. She couldn't help but spray some wine mist.
"Lou, Xiang, Wan!"
Lou Junxuan gritted his teeth. Xiang Wan reached out and wiped the wine off his face, apologizing as she did so, "Sorry, I couldn't help myself."
Watching the two of them, Cui Shiwan unconsciously clenched her hand tightly around the snack bag.
