Chapter 6 Cinderella's Comeback (Part 6)

Xiang Wan sighed, deciding not to stay in bed any longer and to familiarize herself with the surroundings first.

She opened the door, thinking she would go out and see what was going on. Just as she reached the top of the stairs, she saw the original owner's older sister, Xiang Xia, running up the stairs, her skirt hem lifted, with a little sweat on her forehead.

"Xiang Wan, you're up? Mom said we should pack our belongings and take them with us tomorrow. Oh, by the way, I noticed you hadn't eaten breakfast this morning, so I put the food by your bedside. Are you feeling unwell?"

"It's nothing, I was just a little dizzy when I woke up this morning, but I'm fine now." Xiang Wan felt a surge of comfort at Xiang Xia's caring words. As an only child herself, she couldn't help but feel envious when she saw other women playing and laughing together, and now that she had one, she couldn't help but feel happy.

"I'm almost done packing my things, do you need my help?" Xiang Xia could tell from her sister's expression that she hadn't packed yet, so she thought she would come over to check on her once she was done.

"Thank you, I'll tidy up myself first." Xiang Wan hadn't really looked around her room yet, so she felt a little embarrassed to be asked about it.

"Why are you being so polite with me?" Xiang Xia said as she walked towards her room. She felt that her younger sister was a little different from before, but thinking that she might not be feeling well, she didn't think much of it.

Xiang Wan didn't plan to go out this time. She returned to her room and packed up some of the clothes the original owner used to wear, and put her jewelry in a box. When Xiang Xia arrived, she was just about to go downstairs.

"Sister, are we not planning to come back from this trip to the Qin family?"

"Of course, Mom has said for a long time that she would sell everything here and we would live in the Qin family's house from now on."

Xiang Wan was taken aback by Xiang Xia's words. The original owner of this body had never considered this issue at the time, and naturally did not know about her mother's decision.

The whole family had moved in with the Qin family, and they had sold off all their own property. What would they do if Qin Rong tricked her mother into taking all the money? Thinking of this, she couldn't help but feel anxious. This manor was their foundation; they couldn't afford to lose it so easily.

"Where is Mom now? We have to find her quickly." Xiang Wan pulled Xiang Xia and hurried towards the living room.

"Why are you in such a hurry? Mother should be at the estate right now; a buyer came to see it this morning."

"What? Take me there right now!" Xiang Wan regretted waking up too late.

"What happened? Why are you in such a hurry?"

"This is a major event concerning our future lives, how can we not be anxious?"

"Alright, alright, even if we're going, we can't just walk there like this. Let's go get a horse."

As she spoke, Xiang Xia pulled Xiang Wan toward the stable. By sheer coincidence, the last horse remained unsold at the stable.

Xiang Xia hopped on and mounted, extending her hand to Xiang Wan. Xiang Wan had never ridden a horse in modern times, but in this emergency, she didn't care about such things. Fortunately, the original owner knew how to ride, and relying on her body's instincts, Xiang Wan, though apprehensive, managed to reach the manor safely.

The Wang family's estate wasn't large, about the size of a modern stadium. With most of the cattle and sheep sold, it looked rather desolate.

From afar, Xiang Wan saw the Queen Mother talking to a man while two servants were busy working beside her.
