Not long after, the servant was dragged away, and then the cell was cleaned and quiet returned.
The cell door was never closed, and Xiang Wan didn't know if the person had left or not. She slightly opened her eyes and saw a mocking gaze fixed on her.
Xiang Wan was startled, opened her eyes wide, and silently sat up to look back at the other person.
In the dark cell, a single candle lit in the corner was the only source of light.
The candlelight burned straight upwards, occasionally crackling as it burst open, creating an eerie atmosphere in the silent cell.
The man stood with his back to the light, and Xiang Wan couldn't see his face clearly, but his eyes were incredibly bright, like a wolf lurking in the darkness, waiting for its chance to strike.
"You're very bold to lie to me."
This man was none other than Audra, making his first public appearance after capturing Xiang Wan. His voice sounded very young, like he was only twenty-eight or twenty-nine. But his true age was probably several hundred years old.
Xiang Wan sat upright in the corner, her voice slightly hoarse, and said, "You need an outsider to realize your ambitions, while I need to save my life. We each get what we need, so why not?"
Audra turned to the side, his tall figure blocking the candlelight and leaving a patch of darkness that enveloped the area where Xiang Wan was.
“You are clever, and the timing you chose is exactly what I expected. But,” Audra turned, his voice turning cold, “you are too weak. Even if I don’t kill you, they won’t let you go. If your existence causes me trouble, that servant will be your fate.”
“So, Prince Audra, please don’t hesitate to ask me for anything. On your territory, as long as you don’t order my death, I will keep it at your disposal.”
Audra's eyes flickered, and he instantly appeared in front of Xiang Wan, his icy hand gripping her neck, tightening his grip further and further.
Xiang Wan stiffened at first, then relaxed and let him do as he pleased.
Audra probably didn't intend to use her as a practice subject; otherwise, he would have killed her without even lifting a finger.
There's probably nothing in her body that would tempt Audra to do anything with her.
Blood? He has his own specially fed blood slaves, and they are extremely picky about their taste, never consuming the blood of humans other than his blood slaves. Even those he first embraces need to be nourished with special food for over a year until their blood has the flavor he desires.

"I'm sparing your life because of your face. As long as you live to see tomorrow's sunrise, no one will touch you on my turf."
Before Xiang Wan could agree, Audra disappeared from sight.
Xiang Wan took deep breaths, releasing all the oppressive force she had just felt through her heaving chest.
She was too weak, and because she was sitting, she was not overwhelmed by Audra's imposing presence and forced to kneel down.
It should only be early night outside, which means that Audra has given her one night to stand alive in front of him, so that she can truly be considered qualified to make a deal with him.
Seeing the cell door open, Xiang Wan didn't hesitate for a moment. She quickly froze the chains into ice and then thawed them. After repeating this several times, the chains became extremely fragile. With a little effort, Xiang Wan broke free and stood up.
Before she could even stand firmly, the first enemy arrived.
"Human, to escape is a capital offense!"
With sharp fangs bared and five fingers extending sharp nails, the vampire lunged at Wan.
Having not stood for almost a week, Xiang Wan's legs were somewhat unresponsive. She only had time to cover her vital parts with ice before the vampire pounced on her against the wall.
Unable to bite into Xiang Wan's neck, the vampire quickly raised his head and thrust his fingers towards her heart. Xiang Wan raised her hand to block, simultaneously plunging the ice blade in her hand into his heart.
A vampire's heart is their fatal weakness, but if you don't use a silver dagger, you can only seriously injure them at most. They can drink some blood and rest for a few days to recover.
The ice blade had barely penetrated an inch when he pushed it away.
Having sustained some injuries, the vampire's eyes immediately turned blood red, and its ferocity intensified. It lunged at Wan again.
Xiang Wan ducked to avoid it, but her legs, which were not yet fully extended, dragged her down, and her back was slashed, bleeding profusely.
The stimulation of the blood made the vampire even more ferocious. His eyes were fixed on her back, and without thinking, he opened his mouth and bit her.
