All the beauty in this world is nothing more than a smiling face of a loved one, a similar smile between friends, nothing more.

Xiang Wan reached out and wiped away the trace of her tear, as if erasing the last trace of hesitation in her heart.

"My name is a secret between us. Don't tell anyone, including your significant other, okay?"

Susan's eyes widened, but she quickly nodded firmly and agreed, "This is our secret. We'll always be friends, right?"

Xiang Wan smiled, and Susan smiled too.

This was the agreement they made when they first met, and it was also a promise they would keep in this lifetime.

When Xiang Wan and Susan walked out of the room with cheerful expressions, Simon was already standing in the corridor, looking at her with an unpleasant expression: "His Highness instructed you not to wander around. Go to the council hall, the Prince is waiting."

Xiang Wan put her outer robe back on, turned around and gave Susan, who looked worried, a reassuring look, before striding toward the council hall.
