After Xiang Wan finished speaking, Audra disappeared into the dark room.
Philo's heart and limbs were nailed into a coffin and taken back for trial at a later date.
Later, with Audra's help, Xiang Wan quickly eliminated all the vampires who hated humans. Those who remained either lived in seclusion or had no desire to fight.
After Smith's death, Xiang Wan became the supreme commander of the alliance. In the decades that followed, Xiang Wan devoted her life to establishing new rules for humanity and gradually changing the relationship between humans and surviving vampires, making them no longer hostile to each other and even allowing free intermarriage.
Susan and Kendall stayed together until old age; when she passed away, Kendall also turned to ashes. Their children became the backbone of the League, maintaining the peace that had been bought with blood.
When emotions aren't involved, Xiang Wan can get along peacefully with Audra. However, she understands that this man won't let go.
He could follow her to every mission world, even erase his own memories, to be with her through countless lifetimes. Perhaps one day, when all her memories return, she will be moved by him, or perhaps all karmic ties will be severed—who knows?
