"Ah Xing, what's that coming from here?" Sui Yiren asked curiously.
"Uh, it's one of your kind," the system replied.
"Oh! If it's someone of my kind coming, don't bother me. We'll talk if it's a human." She still naively believed that people of her kind only shared a common language.
Sui Yi opened her eyes, got up from the ground, turned around, and saw a group of her fellow zombies. Some of them looked really horrible, their bellies ripped open, their intestines dragging on the ground, covered in dust. They stumbled and staggered forward as a group.
"That's a section of large intestine, isn't it? Doesn't he feel it being dragged out like that?" Sui Yi asked dumbfoundedly.
"You are the same kind, why don't you go and ask them?" the system suddenly said.
"Oh!" Sui Yi actually walked towards the zombie, but thankfully it stopped. Sui Yi walked over and touched the zombie, but it was gone.
"Maybe I was too gentle," she thought.
Sui Yi picked up a brick from the ground and smashed it over the man's head, successfully attracting his attention.
"Roar~, hohohohohoho!" The male zombie roared at Sui Yi, speaking in its own unique zombie language.
Sui Yi: “…I don’t think I understand!” Sui Yi looked completely bewildered.
The system was laughing hysterically; it had never seen such a stupid master. It seemed turning into a zombie was quite fun.
"Intelligence is a wonderful thing, but unfortunately it was melted away by venom," the system lamented.
Suiyi suppressed her nausea, stretched out her finger, waved it in front of the other man's eyes, and then pointed at the intestines that the other man was dragging on the ground.
This guy saw it but ignored it. At this moment, the zombies started moving forward again, and Suiyi was stunned.
Pushed by a zombie behind her, Sui Yi swayed uncontrollably for a few moments, accidentally stepping on the zombie's intestines. Of course, she felt nothing and had no idea what heinous thing she had done.
Suiyi watched as that man walked further and further away, and then suddenly stopped moving.
Suiyi saw him turn around and yell at her.
Suiyi: "...? Ah Xing, is it telling me to follow?" Her voice was blank and silly.
"Hahahaha, hahahaha~, oh my god, I can't help it! Hahaha! How can it be so funny?" The system squirrel laughed so hard it rolled around in the space, clutching its stomach, kneeling on the ground, and pounding the ground.
"Sui Sui, you stepped on someone's intestines!" the system said, holding its breath after it had finished laughing.
"Huh? Oh!" Upon hearing what the system said, Sui Yi lowered her head with difficulty and saw that she was stepping on someone's intestines with both feet.
Raise your head, give the still-roaring guy a smile, and move slightly to release his intestines.
Perhaps seeing that its intestines had been unleashed, the zombie stopped roaring, turned around arrogantly, and followed the zombie army with a limp!
Suiyi stood there, gazing into the distance, like a wife waiting for her husband to return, year after year, her eyes filled with longing.
"Ahem, Sui Sui, aren't you going to follow them?"
"Oh! I'm not going. They're probably plotting something important for the country. I'd better find a place to wait for my evolution. My body feels like it's going to fall apart!" After saying that, he walked towards the back of himself.
Suddenly, her footing gave way, and Suiyi fell to the ground with a thud.
“…What’s wrong? What’s going on?” Sui Yi asked.
"We're on a high-speed train now, what do you think is going on?" The system suddenly felt a little helpless, and missed its powerful and intelligent master. Because its soul was in a zombie's body, and the zombie's brain could no longer be called a brain, Sui Yi's thoughts and behaviors would be affected to some extent.
Because the high-speed train has somehow started moving! So Suiyi couldn't stand up straight, and after struggling a few times to no avail, she simply lay down on the ground. She'll find a place to rest after the train runs out of fuel and stops.
Lost in thought, I opened my eyes only after the system informed me that the high-speed train had stopped, and headed towards the area with sleeper berths.
It felt like we had been walking for a very, very long time. The narrow driveway was a scene of devastation, with horrifying blood and human remains everywhere.
Occasionally, you might see a zombie feasting, its face covered in sticky blood, its mouth split open to its ears, baring its teeth, and you can see bits of flesh on it, with fresh blood dripping down.
Perhaps because she was also a zombie, Suiyi didn't feel nauseous; she just muttered "nauseous" in her mind.
While the zombies were enjoying their food, they saw Suiyi yelling at them.
With a disdainful shrug, Sui Yi withdrew her gaze and staggered forward.
Finally, they found a sleeper train carriage. Suiyi found a berth, threw herself onto the bed, closed her eyes, and went to sleep.
Of course, what's the point of sleeping when you're already dead? Suiyi is recovering her energy.
System: "Wow, my brother!" As Sui Yi lay there, an energy seemed to be generated in the air and seep into her broken body.
The system sensed that the energy was repairing the body at an extremely slow rate. It estimated that Suiyi would regain some strength in about a week; although not fully recovered, she would at least be able to walk without problems.
Sui Yi lay motionless on the bed, while all the other zombies and humans on the train gathered at the front of the train.
"What do we do? What do we do?" a woman cried, her face filled with lingering fear.
"Men, all of you, stand at the front and block the door so that women and children can get off first," a middle-aged man with a leader-like demeanor instructed the people.
Suddenly, someone in the crowd screamed. It turned out that someone there had been infected with the virus and had turned into a zombie!
Everyone was startled and rushed towards the door in a panic; several people had already been bitten.
One by one, those bitten joined the zombie army, and the human population dwindled.
In the end, there were no more surviving humans on the train; they had either become zombies or escaped.
The vehicle was playing a loudspeaker: "Starting this afternoon, several cases of cannibalism have occurred in H City, causing public panic. The government has convened an emergency meeting and issued a notice: if any citizens see any abnormal, head-down human figures, please stay away and find a safe place to avoid being bitten, otherwise you may be infected with the virus. This virus spreads extremely quickly. The government has established an expert group, and after testing, this virus has been named the zombie virus..."
The broadcast was still playing when a mocking voice suddenly came from the shadows.
"Ha! Nation, government... Heaven and earth are ruthless, treating all things like straw dogs; the sage is ruthless, treating the people like straw dogs. Humans, spouting all that benevolence, righteousness, morality, filial piety, loyalty, and trustworthiness, it's all bullshit! I want to see who can uphold so-called virtue in this apocalypse. The game begins with me." This voice was filled with hatred for humanity and resentment and revenge against society.
