Three days later, Sui Yi, who had been lying dead for three days, finally moved. Her gray fingers twitched first, and then began to move dramatically. Looking around, the corpse on the bed had "come back to life!" With a "whoosh," Sui Yi sat up in bed.
She moved her neck and found that she finally had some control over it. Suiyi looked up at her hands, which were covered in dried blood and had grayish-white skin. She tried to activate the commands and grasp them, and found that it was much better. Compared to when she first became a zombie, her mobility had improved significantly.
Suiyi sat up in bed, her steps faltering, intending to go out and see what the outside world had become.
The carriage was still in the same dilapidated state as before, with blood everywhere. Sui Yi glanced at it and staggered towards the door.
"Ha!" Thanks to her keen hearing, Suiyi heard a sarcastic "ha!"
Stiffly, she moved toward the source of the sound and saw a man in a military green suit, with above-average looks and an unusually cold expression on his clean face. He wasn't particularly tall, but he seemed to possess immense power. The man was calmly looking at her, holding a Desert Eagle in his hand. He slowly raised his hand, and the gun was pointed at her.
Sui Yi's eyes widened in shock. Her body reacted faster than her brain, and she instinctively stepped back. Before she knew it, she tripped and fell backward, landing flat on her back.
"Ha! How stupid!" The man's deep, resonant, and magnetic voice rang out, so pleasant it could make one pregnant. Of course, in peaceful times, perhaps she could appreciate it, but now, with life and death hanging in the balance, no one had that thought.
After Suiyi fell to the ground, she struggled several times but couldn't get up. Feeling dejected, she simply lay there and continued to play dead.
A smile welled up in the man's eyes as he watched the zombie put on this self-directed and self-acted performance, and for some reason, he felt that the zombie was even more adorable than a human.
A wicked smile crept across the man's lips as he strode toward the corpse on the ground.
Although Sui Yi had closed her eyes, zombies, aside from pain, possess extremely keen senses of smell and hearing. As the sound of leather boots on the ground grew closer, an uncontrollable wail rose within her.
"What the hell is this man trying to do?"
Suddenly, the sound stopped, but Suiyi's incredibly keen sense of smell told her that the man was right beside her.
A long time passed, and Suiyi grew impatient lying there, especially in such an unseemly position.
"Ah Xing, how long have I been lying here like a corpse?"
"Uh! Ten minutes have passed."
"Damn, is this guy trying to outlast me? Outlasting a corpse? That's pretty amazing! Ah Xing, show me the video."
The system sent the video to Suiyi, who saw a man squatting on the ground, staring intently at the zombie lying on the ground.
Suiyi had never seen her own face before, and when she looked closely, she was completely dumbfounded.
The female corpse on the ground was wearing tattered jeans, stained with blood and riddled with holes, and a black T-shirt that barely covered her. Her neck was bluish-white and somewhat mangled, while her face was grayish-white with bloodstains, though it looked relatively normal, which offered Sui Yi a small measure of comfort. It seemed the original owner of this body had been bitten and infected with a virus, turning into a zombie.
"So what exactly does that man want?" Sui Yi was frustrated. She originally wanted to go out and see the world, but now she's just stuck like this?
"I don't know either, I guess that man thinks you're special!" the system guessed.
"Damn it, wait ten more minutes. After ten minutes, I'll risk my life to see what he's up to."
Time passed minute by minute. When the system reminded Suiyi that the time was up, Suiyi slowly and quietly opened one eye. Finding that the area she could see was not large, she opened the other eye.
After opening her eyes, Suiyi turned to look at the man, only to see that he was still in the same state as in the video the system had shown her.
Four eyes met, and Suiyi clearly saw how ugly she looked in that person's eyes.
"What do you want to do? Hehehehe?" Sui Yi wanted to ask, but when she heard the sound coming from her own throat, she suddenly deflated.
Sensing there was no danger, Suiyi ignored the man and struggled to get up from the ground.
Because his body was leaning backward on the cylindrical barrel, it was extremely difficult to turn over.
With its limbs pointing upwards and swaying without any support, it gives the impression of a turtle trying to flip over.
She had no strength in her waist and couldn't get up. So she simply curled up backward, letting her whole body lie on the ground. This movement really put all her strength into it.
She lay on the ground for a while, then turned to look at the man who was watching her with great interest, and rolled her eyes. She was completely unaware of how terrifying she looked.
"Hehe! Interesting." The man laughed when he saw her actions.
"I didn't hear it, I didn't hear it. This man must be mocking me for being stupid, how awful!" Sui Yi thought to herself with hatred.
Once she felt she had some strength left, Suiyi struggled to roll over and lay prostrate on the ground before she could get up.
Finally, through her tireless efforts, she managed to stand up, albeit shakily.
Suiyi ignored the man and walked outside. This time, she was determined to go out and see the world.
As Suiyi walked forward, the man hesitated for a moment, then stood up and followed closely behind her.
Hearing footsteps, Sui Yi turned around, glanced at the man, and yelled, "What are you doing following me?"
But the man just stared at her intently.
