Chapter 130 The Adulthood of a Cannon Fodder Zombie 12

"Brother Bing, what do we do next? We're running low on supplies." A man in his thirties glanced at the woman and child inside the room and said to the middle-aged man sitting in the chair.

"How much longer can we hold out?"

"At most three days, and that's with the least amount of food consumed."

The man known as Brother Bing thought for a moment, then stood up. He looked at the men, women, and children beside him.

“We are all neighbors in this small town. When the apocalypse came, families were torn apart, countries were destroyed, and homes were destroyed. We live in fear every day, struggling in this post-apocalyptic world, all for the sake of survival. And now, we have been here for two weeks, and we are seeing fewer and fewer survivors, and our hope is getting slimmer and slimmer.”

The men and women who heard this felt a sense of resonance and lowered their heads; some women even shed tears! Recalling what they had experienced over the past two weeks, the atmosphere suddenly became heavy.

"All I can do now is bring you temporary peace. If we want to have a real chance of survival, we need everyone to unite and fight the enemy together."

"We're running low on supplies. Tomorrow, the men will come with me to search for supplies, while the women stay here and take care of the children. Do you agree?"

After the man finished speaking, people looked at each other, all hesitant.

“Okay, Brother Bing, we’ll listen to you. Staying here means starving to death, and going outside might also mean dying, but there’s always a glimmer of hope. It’s better than waiting to die! Don’t you all agree?” A man stepped forward.

"Yes. We agree with Brother Bing's arrangement," people said in unison.

"Oh dear, Brother Bing, now that you've all left, we women and children might not be able to withstand the zombies if they come." A woman walked out, like a madam in an ancient brothel, swaying her hips, raising her pinky finger, and speaking in a coquettish voice that sent chills down one's spine.

“Sister-in-law Ying, no one here is pampered. They all do hard labor. Apart from the children who need protection, I think the most important thing for both men and women is to have the ability to protect themselves.” Bing Ge said in a deep voice, looking at the woman who came out, his eyes flashing with disdain.

She's over forty years old, yet she still dresses in a gaudy, flamboyant way every day, and is always sharp-tongued, mean-spirited, and domineering. She's truly a shallow and ignorant woman. If it weren't for the fact that Brother Ying died a few days ago and I felt sorry for her, I would have thrown her out to become a zombie.

"We also want superpowers, but God won't give them to us, what can I do?" The woman swayed her barrel-shaped waist as she walked forward, reached out and touched Bing Ge's chest, speaking in a flirtatious tone.

Bing Ge shuddered and quickly moved away from the woman.

"She's shameless." The women behind her were disgusted by her behavior; those with children covered their children's eyes to prevent them from seeing.

"What are you doing? How can you face our deceased brother Ying?"

Bing shouted loudly at the woman, startling her.

Holding a handkerchief, he pretended to sit down on the ground and started wailing, acting like a scoundrel.

"Ah! Old Ying, how could you die so tragically? Look at you, these heartless bastards you saved, they wanted me dead! What's the point of living now? Ah~ God, you are so unjust~ Waaah~"

Some people couldn't stand it anymore and came out.

“Sister-in-law Ying, if you keep howling like a ghost and attract zombies, I’ll be the first to throw you out.”

"You..." The woman was so frightened that she stopped howling, pointed at the person in front of her, and was so angry that she was panting heavily and couldn't speak.

"That's how it should be. Be good and don't cause us any trouble, or else..."

Stared at with such a fierce gaze, she instantly lost her arrogance and cautiously watched him move back, afraid that if she wasn't careful, he would throw her out.

"Hmph!" Seeing that she had calmed down, the man snorted at her and walked over to Bing Ge's side.

Bing Ge: "Since you all agree to my suggestion, let's divide the work. Tomorrow, Da Mao and Er Mao will be in one group, going to the west; Xiao San and Lao Wu will be in one group, going to the south; Uncle Zhong and Luo Qi will be in one group, going to the north. Asong and I will go to the east. Remember, take your weapons and be careful."

"Brother Bing, why don't we go together? That way, there's strength in numbers, and if we encounter a place with lots of zombies, we can look out for each other. Besides, it would be a waste not to use our car; we can carry more supplies in it," Ah Song said to Brother Bing.

"That works too. Then we don't need to split up, we can set off together."

"Sister-in-law Luo, we'll probably be there all day tomorrow, so we'll have to leave very early. I've asked Da Mao to give you some supplies so you can distribute them to the women and children."

Bing walked up to a woman and watched her confess.

"Okay! You all must be careful."

"Everyone, get some rest. I'll keep watch tonight," Brother Bing said loudly, looking at the people inside the house.

"Thank you, Brother Bing."

"Brother Bing, we still need to find supplies tomorrow. I'm younger, so I'll keep watch while you get some rest."

"No need, Ah Song. You're going tomorrow too, go and get some rest!" The man said with some relief, patting him on the shoulder.

“Then let’s take turns keeping watch. Bing, you keep watch for the first half of the night, and I’ll keep watch for the second half,” Ah Song said firmly, leaving no room for refusal.

"Okay! Go get some rest, and we'll pull off a great job tomorrow."

"Okay! I'm going to rest now!" After saying that, everyone except those on night watch found a place to lean against and went to sleep.

There weren't many blankets, so most of them were given to the women and children. The men basically slept fully clothed.

The weather in this apocalyptic world is absolutely extreme, with day and night. It's unbearably hot during the day and freezing cold at night.

There were eight men in the house, mostly in their prime, four women in their thirties or forties, and two children who were only a few years old.

After releasing her spiritual power, Suiyi sensed not only these survivors, but also dozens of zombies in the north.

Withdrawing her mental energy, Sui Yi turned around, glanced at the room, opened the door, and quietly walked out.

"What do you want to do?" the system asked.

"Can't I recruit a few henchmen?" She planned to control all the zombies in the town so that the people would be much safer.

"Whatever!" The system, unusually, didn't argue with her, and Suiyi didn't have time to pay attention to it either.

Late at night, Suiyi wandered around the town.

"Hey little Sui Sui, aren't you wasting your energy? Wouldn't it be so much easier to give orders to your compatriots using your mental power?"

Even the system felt ashamed to look at her behavior!

"What do you know? I sensed a level two zombie ahead that mutated and is also mentally-based. Those dozens of zombies are controlled by it. When recruiting followers, you can't be too low-level."

Sui Yi walked slowly, as if strolling down the street, completely unconcerned. She ignored the occasional zombie she encountered, because even before she got close, the zombies were already too frightened to approach her!

Aside from humans, what other creatures fear most is bloodline suppression, especially in the zombie world, where whoever has the higher rank gets to do what they want.

So Suiyi left with great ease, except that she didn't particularly like seeing the mess in this dilapidated town.
