Chapter 271 Blood Hunters and Vampires (19)

"The ultimate celebration is coming, the great God is about to awaken, grant us endless power, let us taste the final fruits of victory." In the Blood Hunter headquarters manor, Edward prayed devoutly. If someone looked into his eyes, they would notice that they had a slight purple tinge.

Edward stood behind the butler, and behind the butler stood rows of men in black.

"Master, everyone is here." The butler handed Edward the towel on the tray after he finished praying.

Edward took a towel and gently wiped his hands before picking up the cup on the tray and taking a small sip. The whole movement was fluid and perfect, as if he had performed it a thousand times.

While Edward drank, the butler and the men in black below remained silent. Edward was drinking fresh blood.

The smell of blood wafted through the air, and while the men in black below were swallowing hard, most managed to stay upright. Only one man kept looking up at Edward, his eyes bloodshot, clearly driven to the brink of madness by the sight of blood.

“Andrew, restrain yourself!” Diana reminded him softly, displeased. “Don’t do anything that will annoy the Earl.”

"Diana, I'm going crazy, I feel so bad," Andrew kept twisting his body. If Diana hadn't been holding him back, he would have rushed out.

"Andrew, can't you even tolerate this much? Andrew!" Diana said, as Andrew broke free from her grasp and rushed in front of Edward.

"What? Can't the little offspring stand the smell of blood?" Edward glanced at Andrew, who froze on the spot.

Andrew tried to struggle but his limbs were out of control. The glance Edward had given him seemed to have sobered him up considerably. "I didn't mean to, I just... I just couldn't control myself..."

Edward's gaze towards Andrew was cold and indifferent, devoid of any warmth. After listening to Andrew's explanation, Edward nodded slightly. "Is that so? Where is your guide?"

“My Lord, it’s me.” Seeing that she couldn’t avoid it, Diana walked through the crowd of vampires and came to Edward.

Before Edward could speak, Diana knelt on the ground, bowing her head and pleading in her voice, "Your Excellency, please forgive me. I promise I will discipline Andrew properly from now on."

Edward glanced at the numerous vampires below. "You descendants of the Embrace must not be like them. I would feel ashamed if you met other families in this state."

The vampires below bowed their heads in agreement, but Diana, kneeling on the ground, trembled like a leaf. Even though Andrew didn't quite understand, seeing Diana like this, he too became frightened.

“Your Excellency, I…” Andrew wanted to explain, but after Edward’s gaze swept over him, he couldn’t utter a single word.

“This is a one-time exception,” Edward said, pointing his finger. Diana then stood up from the ground uncontrollably.

Diana looked at Edward with surprise and delight. "Thank you, Your Excellency. I will definitely pay more attention."

Edward remained noncommittal, but the butler waved knowingly, signaling Diana and Andrew to retreat. Once they were back in their place, Edward looked at the numerous vampires and said, "A holy war is imminent. Please remain vigilant, and please teach your offspring well."

Edward left after speaking, and the other vampires followed suit, leaving only Diana and Andrew standing there, looking at each other.

“Diana…” Andrew hadn’t finished speaking when Diana slapped him across the face. Andrew’s head snapped to the side, but he just smiled. “You were scared just now, weren’t you? Heh, I didn’t expect you to be scared too!”

“Andrew, this is my last warning to you. I didn’t force you to make this choice. You’d better behave yourself. Otherwise, I don’t mind taking care of you myself!” Diana said, then turned and left.

Andrew looked at the empty room and slowly walked over to sit on the sofa. Looking at the flames burning in the fireplace, Andrew felt no warmth whatsoever.

Suddenly, Andrew didn't know why he had chosen this path. Everything he had envisioned before seemed irrelevant to him. Now, he was becoming as cold, both physically and mentally, as the other vampires.

Andrew hugged himself and sat by the fireplace. He was starting to miss the days when he was warm. He was... scared.

……………………………………

"Are they going to hold a grand event at Blackwood Manor?" After Leng Yue and Qian Chen met with Lily, they left Julia's hotel. They had previously learned that Mei Bao was at Blackwood Manor.

However, when they arrived at Blackwood Manor, they found it bustling with activity, as if a grand event was about to take place.

Qianchen took the binoculars and saw servants coming and going, constantly arranging things and busy. He nodded and replied, "It should be."

"It looks like quite a few people are coming. I wonder if Dracula will come?" Qian Chensheng said, then suddenly nervously put away his binoculars, glanced at Leng Yue with surprise and doubt, and pulled her away quickly.

"What's going on?" Leng Yue noticed Qian Chen's pale face and unusually flustered expression, and couldn't help but turn around to look. "Has someone followed us?"

They flew very far on their swords, all the way out of the Blackwood Manor's territory. Qianchen looked at Lengyue, "When I used this to look down, a vampire suddenly glanced at me and even bared its fangs at me."

"This is the telescope Zero gave me, it's several times more powerful, it shouldn't be possible, right?" Leng Yue hesitated for a moment. If they were using an ordinary telescope, it might be possible for them to be discovered, but this telescope is more powerful than those professional astronomical telescopes, how could they possibly be discovered?

"Could you be mistaken? Or is he facing someone else, and it just so happens to be at the same angle as you?" Leng Yue truly couldn't believe it. If they could be detected at such a distance, then those vampires wouldn't be ordinary vampires; they'd be comparable to cultivators in the immortal cultivation world. But how could that be?

"Yueyue, I can assure you I didn't see wrong." Qianchen had calmed down considerably, but was even more certain of his judgment.

"Perhaps we're overthinking it. You forgot, Lily said that some vampires have psychic abilities. Their perception is tens of thousands of times stronger than that of ordinary people, and even cultivators like us can't compare to them. The vampire I just discovered might have psychic abilities." After calming down, Qian Chen knew he wasn't mistaken, and his earlier fear disappeared.

“Psychic abilities? Yes, Lily mentioned it.” Leng Yue nodded. “So psychic vampires are this powerful? That makes sense now. It’s why Dracula can always find us. It seems he’s a psychic vampire too.”

Qianchen nodded. "Very likely."
