Chapter 15 It's Just a Dream

Li Dapeng was dreaming again.

He stood in the wilderness covered with weeds and trees, the night wind blowing past his ears, and he knew clearly that he had fallen into a dream again.

Walking in the familiar direction, in less than a minute, he saw Zhao Hong squatting on the spot, and he kicked him.

"Fuck, who is it!" Zhao Hong sat down on the ground with his brows raised and was about to explode, but then he saw Li Dapeng reluctantly retract his hand.

"Um, Brother Peng, you're here."

Zhao Hong in the dream was much younger than in reality, but still as thin. It should be said that he was even thinner now. When he stood next to Li Dapeng, he looked like a bamboo pole.

"Why is this dream again?" Li Dapeng looked at the endless night and muttered softly.

"Brother Peng, why hasn't that kid come yet? Is he afraid to come?"

Zhao Hong looked around as he spoke, and couldn't help but shudder: "Damn it, he really is mentally ill, living in this shabby place, it's so gloomy and there's not even a ghost."

Li Dapeng had heard him say this many times and could remember what he was going to say next even with his eyes closed.

As expected, Zhao Hong couldn't help it. He took two steps forward and cursed, "You useless thing, you won't stand us up, will you?"

"Zhao Shazi, why don't you try to curse again?"

Li Dapeng looked up and was blinded by the flashlight. He closed his eyes and said, "Yan Qing, turn off the light!"

"Tsk." The man turned off the light as instructed, revealing a still young face behind him. It was Yan Qing who had died early in the room.

He had a head of yellow hair, a hammer in his hand, and various ear clips and studs on his ears. He whistled nonchalantly, "Everyone's here, let's go."

Zhao Hong is a typical fence-sitter and a bully who only cares about the weak and fears the strong. Seeing the hammer in his hand, he naturally didn't dare to scold him anymore, and his tone became much better.

"Yan Qing, is there really money to be made in that place you mentioned?"

Yan Qing glanced at him sideways: "Why else would I lie to you for no reason?"

"Why are you here so late at night to starve me?"

"Stop talking!" Li Dapeng was annoyed by their noise. Even though he knew it was a dream, he still couldn't help but get angry.

He raised his fist with a frown on his face. "If you say another word of nonsense, I'll sew your mouths shut!"

After saying that, he didn't care how ugly the two men's expressions were, and walked forward.

After he turned around, all the expressions on Zhao Hong and Yan Qing's faces disappeared, their dark pupils grew bigger and bigger, and a perfect smile appeared on their faces.

They looked at each other and then looked at Li Dapeng who was walking away, with the corners of their mouths raised in the same way.

Li Dapeng walked faster and faster.

He felt a chill on his back, and intuitively felt that today's dream was a little different from previous ones.

Zhao Hong and Yan Qing were too real. He had had similar dreams before, but the faces of the two people were always blurry, never so clear.

Their behavior today was like the two dead people reappearing before him...

But how is that possible?

Li Dapeng shook his head violently, trying to get rid of the idea.

They are already dead, and the dead cannot be resurrected. I am just dreaming.

His steps became faster, almost jogging, and Li Dapeng felt something was wrong.

In the past, I should have left after seeing these two people, right?

When he turned around, he found that the back was empty. The two people who were supposed to be following him had disappeared long ago. He slapped himself hard and was shocked.

Why, why does it hurt?

He touched the side of his face, raised his head in surprise and doubt, and a chill rushed from the top of his head to the soles of his feet.

In front of me is a three-story tall villa with a gorgeous exterior and various lifelike reliefs. It is solemn, elegant and luxurious.

This villa looked too familiar, so familiar that Li Dapeng felt a chill in his heart and took a few steps back.

Feeling pain in his ankle, Li Dapeng held his breath and lowered his head. A short rose was right next to his leg, its red petals extremely gorgeous.

He didn't dare to breathe, and following his inexplicable instinct, he twisted his neck back and saw rose bushes all over the mountain... and two figures standing among them...

He saw the two shadows opening their arms towards him.

Li Dapeng's scalp felt numb.

“Hu…Hu…”

The person on the bed suddenly jumped up, gasping uncontrollably.

His back was soaked with cold sweat, the hair near his forehead was almost all wet, his chest kept rising and falling, and his eyes were as big as copper bells.

The strong man looked like a drowned dog in a storm.

He was still frightened and gasped as he touched the gold coin on his body, but found nothing.

The life-saving artifact he had just obtained was gone. Li Dapeng fell on the bed, not knowing whether he should be sad or feel lucky for having escaped death.

He remembered what the butler had said during the day—someone else had gotten the gold coin.

He stared at his hands, the fear in his eyes gradually gave way to fierceness, and finally he clenched his fists.

At the door, a hunched figure was stuck in the shadow of the corner. Then his figure merged with the wall and appeared in the corridor outside the door.

He moved his feet and stopped in front of a door almost silently.

The door was located on the far left of the corridor. Unlike the other rooms which were filled with some light or heavy whispers, this room was silent. There was no movement inside, as if all sounds had disappeared.

The figure stood in front of the door, maintaining a relatively humble posture, the hem of his tuxedo casting a black silhouette on the ground.

He didn't say anything and didn't knock, he just stood there as if he knew the door would open.

After a while, the tightly closed door quietly opened a tiny crack, only as wide as a fingertip.

Through this tiny gap, the housekeeper could easily see the violently swirling black fog in the room, which was piling up layer upon layer, blocking out all light.

The black fog in the innermost part was so thick that it became solid, spreading out in all directions with a hideous look, outlining an extremely terrifying shape. In the middle, a huge elliptical cocoon tightly wrapped the entire bed and the person on it, leaving no gaps.

He took one look and didn't dare to look again. He lowered his head and stared at the ground.

In the room, Pei Xia leaned on the bed with one arm, and one hand fell lightly on the person's fair and flawless face, tracing from the eyebrows to the side of the lips, and gently pressed down on the extremely tempting lips.

He didn't use much force, but Zhu Yuanqing still frowned reflexively.

There was no way. If you looked down, you would find that his arms, neck, waist, abdomen and legs were all covered with extremely dense black fog, some of which were like threads, some like cloth, covering all the skin that could be occupied.

The black mist was like flowing water, but because its owner had no intention of attacking, its lethality was almost less than that of ordinary air, and it left no trace.

Pei Xia leaned down calmly and placed a kiss between his slightly wrinkled brows, and then her body became more and more transparent.

The same second he disappeared, the fog in the room suddenly cleared and the tiny crack on the door closed instantly.

Except for the person lying on the bed, the room was empty inside and outside.
