Chapter 33: The Cold Buddhist Son vs. the Spoiled Princess (33)

Jiang Jingyu turned around after she finished speaking.

"Someone come."

Jiang Jingyu had a sullen face, and her cold voice reached Luochen's ears in the room through the door.

At this time, Lechen was sitting cross-legged on the bed with his eyes closed. He did not react at all after hearing Jiang Jingyu's words.

The secret guard hiding in the dark emerged from the darkness after hearing Jiang Jingyu's words, knelt on one knee, and supported himself on the ground with his other hand.

"Princess, please give your orders."

"Prepare the horses and return to the palace."

"yes!"

One of the secret guards flew away, while the other one stayed behind Jiang Jingyu and walked down the stairs with her.

After arriving in the courtyard, Jiang Jingyu turned and looked towards the second floor, whispering softly, "Master Liaochen, take care."

After she finished speaking, she walked towards the gate without looking back, and happened to meet the little monk who came to bring them food.

"Hey, where is the female Bodhisattva going?"

The little monk carried the food box and walked up the stairs step by step to Jiang Jingyu, looking up at her in confusion.

Jiang Jingyu touched his head: "Hui En, I'm leaving."

"Leave? Where is the female Bodhisattva going?"

The little monk grabbed the corner of Jiang Jingyu's clothes and looked at her nervously.

Jiang Jingyu squatted in front of the little monk and pinched his little face: "I want to go home."

"Why? Why did the Bodhisattva suddenly want to leave? Is this place not good?"

The little monk looked at Jiang Jingyu nervously, with tears in his voice, and was reluctant to let Jiang Jingyu leave.

"It's nice here, but some people don't want to see me, so I won't be an eyesore here. Huien, don't cry. If I have the chance in the future, I will come to Fo'an Temple to see you."

"No, I don't want the Bodhisattva to leave. Please don't leave, okay?"

The little monk held Jiang Jingyu's fingers tightly, tears as big as beans rolled down from the corners of his eyes, and he looked at Jiang Jingyu with a pleading face.

"All good things must come to an end, Huien, goodbye."

Jiang Jingyu gently wiped the little monk's tears, then stood up and pulled her fingers out of the little monk's hand.

"Female Bodhisattva, please don't go. Please don't go!"

The little monk cried even louder. He shook his head desperately and tried to grab Jiang Jingyu's clothes but was stopped by the secret guard.

Looking at the little monk crying, Jiang Jingyu's eyes became hot and she quickly turned her head away from him.

"Huien, I'll miss you if we meet again."

After Jiang Jingyu finished speaking, she walked towards the stone steps in front of her. Hot tears rolled down her cheeks. She couldn't bear to leave this mischievous and adorable little monk.

Bang--

"Female Bodhisattva, woooooo, female Bodhisattva, come back! Come back!"

Looking at Jiang Jingyu's departing back, the little monk slammed the food box in his hand to the ground.

He shouted at Jiang Jingyu's back and struggled to catch up, but the guards picked him up like a chicken. The little monk couldn't break free at all and could only watch Jiang Jingyu walk further and further away from his sight.

“Female Bodhisattva, Female Bodhisattva, please don’t leave…”

Listening to the crying of the little monk behind her, Jiang Jingyu bit her lower lip, clutched her dress tightly with both hands, and forced herself not to look back at him.

She quickened her pace and fled as if she was escaping from the panic.

Only after Jiang Jingyu's figure disappeared from the little monk's sight did the secret guard put him on the ground and then slipped away.

"Woo woo woo, female Bodhisattva, female Bodhisattva come back."

The little monk was like an abandoned child. He squatted on the steps, looking at the endless stone steps in front of him, crying heart-wrenchingly.

The female Bodhisattva left.

The female Bodhisattva doesn't want him anymore.

Thinking of this, the little monk cried even harder. He wanted to chase her but found that he didn't know where the female Bodhisattva's home was.

The little monk squatted on the stone steps and cried for a long time, then stood up and ran towards the attic.

Senior Brother Lechen must know the home of the female Bodhisattva, he wants to ask Senior Brother Lechen!

The little monk ran into the attic crying. Because he ran too fast, one of his shoes flew off. His bare foot stepped on the rough stone steps, but he didn't feel any pain at all.

"Brother Liaochen, Brother Liaochen, open the door. The female Bodhisattva has left. I want the female Bodhisattva. I want the female Bodhisattva. Woo woo woo."

The heart-wrenching cry of the little monk came from far away and finally came to the door of Chen's room. He raised his little hands and kept knocking on the door, his voice choked with sobs and hiccups.

"Brother Liaochen, Brother Liaochen, please open the door!"

Hearing the little monk's heart-wrenching voice, Lechen finally couldn't help but open his eyes, stood up and slowly walked towards the door.

Crunch——

The door was opened from the inside, and Lechen's figure appeared in front of the little monk.

After three days and three nights without food, water or sleep, Liaochen looked haggard, his lips were cracked, and a faint stubble appeared on his chin. He looked unkempt, completely different from his usual dignified and cold self.

The little monk was stunned for a moment when he looked up, stopped crying, and looked at Lechen with his big eyes without blinking.

"Senior Brother Liaochen."

Lechen wiped the little monk's face with his fingertips, his voice hoarse and deep.

"Don't cry anymore."

After hearing Lechen's voice, the young monk came back to his senses. He grabbed Lechen's hand and said, "The female Bodhisattva has left. Brother Lechen, go chase her!"

Liaochen was unmoved, and the little monk started crying again when he saw this.

"I want the female Bodhisattva, wuwuwu, I don't want the female Bodhisattva to leave, brother, can you please bring the female Bodhisattva back?"

The little monk, who had always been obedient and sensible, now hugged Lachen's thigh and started to make a scene.

Lechen pursed his lips and ignored the little monk no matter how he cried. Finally, the little monk was tired of crying and had exhausted all his strength. He sat on the ground, hugged Lechen's legs and fell asleep.
