Shang Xian leaned closer, ready to touch it, when Ya Heng suddenly said quietly, "Touching an elf's ears means marrying him."
Shang Xian withdrew her hand just one centimeter away from touching his pointed ear.
“Don’t listen to his nonsense,” Segovia reached out and pinched Yaheng’s ear.
"Segovia, that hurts!" Elves have very sensitive ears!
"I only pulled your ear because I knew it would hurt the most." Otherwise, why would he pull his ear?
"That's too cruel," Yaheng said indignantly.
"But what are you doing here?" Moxi put his hand on Shang Xian's shoulder.
Yaheng rubbed his aching ear, looking displeased: "Isn't it because I heard from the lord that you asked him for that bottle of medicine? I just wanted to see who would have the honor of using it."
"You saw it?"
Yaheng stared at Shangxian's face: "You see, your host, right?"
Moxi nodded: "Just leave if you see it; it pollutes the air."
Yaheng immediately grabbed Moxi by the throat: "I am a holy elf, you are the one who pollutes the air and smells of blood!"
"I am a noble vampire!"
"I am an elf!"
"noble!"
"Holy!"
Shang Xian watched the two of them playfully bickering, just like elementary school students...
I simply squatted down, propped my chin up, and watched them love and hate each other.
"I'm done making a fuss, I'm tired," Yaheng sighed with relief.
Moxi snorted: "Noob."
"The holy elf won't bother with you anymore, hmph."
"Alright, alright, you guys are so childish," Shang Xian stood up and pulled Mo Xi aside.
Moxi straightened his clothes and turned to look at Shang Xian: "Are you sleepy?"
Shang Xian nodded: "A little."
I've been feeling sleepy a lot these past few days because of a mild concussion.
“Then let’s go back,” Moxi said, then looked at Yaheng. “You should go to the human world too, brother.”
"I have something to tell you," Yaheng waved to him and then walked to the side.
Moxi frowned, and Shang Xian nodded and stood aside to wait for him.
"What is it?" Moxi asked as he walked to his side.
Yaheng opened his mouth, then, after organizing his thoughts, said, "Don't learn from the priests. The lord specifically told you never to learn from the priests."
Moxi was even more speechless: "What's wrong with you?"
“Don’t ignore me. You’ve seen what the priest looked like back then. The coincidence was that the woman wasn’t human. But who knows if she would have chosen our priest in the end? So you must never follow the priest’s example,” Yaheng pointed at him and warned him earnestly.
“They’re all mature people, they know what they should and shouldn’t do. The priest’s story is about leaving the lord’s protection, it’s impossible for me to believe it.” He found it ridiculous, he really didn’t mean it that way!
Perhaps because this was the first time he had brought a host back to the Space-Time Alliance, they misunderstood.
"You know that's good. Although if you fall in love with a human girl, the lord will try to help you... Pshaw! No way!" Yaheng didn't want to trouble the lord at all!
"Don't worry, don't overthink it, please," Moxi patted his shoulder. "Let's go."
Yaheng watched his and Shangxian's retreating figures, lost in thought. Segovia had grown up with the lord, so he was certainly more mature than the priest back then. He smiled; it seemed their worries were unnecessary.
——
"Xixi, are they reminding you that you can't like humans?" Shang Xian kicked at a pebble by the roadside and looked up at Moxi.
Moxi nodded without hiding anything.
“I think they’re really strange,” Shang Xian said with a smile.
