He waved to her, pointed upwards, and waved again.
After staying in the water for a while, Xu Nian felt dizzy from lack of oxygen and started blowing bubbles, but then felt a warm, moist touch on her lips.
In the thin air, driven by the instinct for survival, the two exchanged a long, lingering kiss.
As the dizziness from lack of oxygen returned, Xu Nian's scene suddenly changed. She and Xie Baiyu were still kissing, and they were already sitting in the car.
Xu Nian pushed the person in front of her away forcefully, greedily breathing in the fresh air, surrounded by the sound of car horns.
After the floodwaters submerged them, they were relocated to the streets of the countryside.
"Xie Baiyu, you didn't let me swim upwards in the water just now because you knew there was no way to survive if I swam up, and if we stayed in the water, we would be teleported here!" Xu Nian looked around at the Beetle-like cars, a hint of melancholy flashing in her eyes.

"If you insist on describing me that way, then so be it." Xie Baiyu smiled gently, but her hand was lingeringly caressing the skin on Xu Nian's wrist.
It's so soft and delicate to the touch. Niannian's wrists are so nice to touch. I want to touch more of them!
I want to be close to her, to sleep in her arms, and to kiss every inch of her skin.
"Xie Baiyu, I want to live, to live by any means necessary..." Xu Nian fiddled with the stray hairs by her ear, looking up as if to say something, but was interrupted by a commotion.
"The flood is coming! Everyone run!"
No one knows who yelled that, but someone instinctively started their car and sped off on the road, and others followed suit.
Xie Baiyu was sitting in the driver's seat, so the task of driving naturally fell to him.
He drove his car weaving through traffic, overtaking one Beetle after another at high speed.
When Xu Nian had a moment to look back, she saw the familiar towering waves sweeping in from behind the road once again.
Those players who drove slowly were unsurprisingly swept into the torrent once again and disappeared without a trace.
The towering waves were like a gaping maw, devouring not only the players' lives but also their hopes.
Xie Baiyu drove very steadily and was already at the forefront.
However, at that moment, a torrential downpour began to fall from the sky.
Within seconds, visibility was obstructed ahead, and a raging floodwater appeared behind.
For their safety, Xie Baiyu had to slow down the car.
This damn game is always unpredictable. Even if a cliff or a winding mountain road suddenly appears in front of you, Xie Baiyu is not surprised.
Noticing that Xu Nian kept turning around to look at him, but her gaze never fell on him, Xie Baiyu said in a clear voice with displeasure, "Niannian, how come you weren't scared or panicked the whole way here!"
If she gets scared or panicked, she can snuggle into his arms; he won't mind.
"With you here, I have no reason to be afraid or panic." Xu Nian's trust pleased Xie Baiyu, and he smiled gently again.
His good mood lasted only a few seconds before the "pat-pat-pat" sound from the car window shattered his smile.
He frowned as he stared at the hailstones falling one after another on the car window. The hailstones grew larger and larger, from the size of a thumb to the size of a ping-pong ball.
The car windows began to be smashed and broken.
In less than a minute, the car window was smashed to pieces, and a cold draft rushed in.
"Xie Baiyu, the flood behind us is gone." Xu Nian turned around and told him the good news.
"Hmm! It's good that there's no flood." Xie Baiyu slowed the car down again. The hail outside was too big, and now the whole car was being battered and the wind was blowing in from all directions.
A chill swept in, and the two people, still dressed in summer clothes, shivered from the cold.
Xie Baiyu: "Niannian, go look in the back seat for a warm cotton-padded coat."
Upon hearing this, Xu Nian quickly climbed from the passenger seat to the back seat and searched around, eventually finding two cotton coats under the seats.
Xu Nian first draped one of the coats over Xie Baiyu before wrapping herself in the cotton-padded coat.
The cold wind howled, and the road, which had been flooded with rain just moments before, began to freeze.
You can hear the sound of thin ice being squeezed as the wheels run over it.
"Xie Baiyu, are you still insisting on driving in this road condition?" Xu Nian looked at the hail that kept pelting against the car window, a look of worry crossing her face.
“Niannian, we only have half an hour. Whether it’s hailing or it’s raining knives, we have to get to the game venue within this half hour.”
