“That’s right,” Shi Lan said excitedly, as if she had found a fellow foodie. But remembering his smell, she quickly moved back. Afraid of upsetting Yue Zhan, she smiled ingratiatingly.
Fortunately, Yue Zhan was very compliant at this moment and was not displeased. He just lowered his head and rubbed her fingers, seemingly never getting tired of playing with them.
Shi Lan's tense nerves relaxed, and there was even a smile on her lips. "That's right, that flatbread was really delicious, very sticky. If it wasn't baked, steaming it would taste even better."
"Add some more honey," Yue Zhan added softly.
Shi Lan nodded and said, "That's right."
Yue Zhan's lips finally curled up, revealing a relaxed and knowing smile. "Alright, it's getting late, go to sleep early."
Shi Lan looked up at him, a little surprised. How did things suddenly turn into talking about sleeping?
Yue Zhan stretched out his arms and embraced her tightly, burying his face in her neck and taking a deep breath.
Shi Lan shuddered, like a leaf trembling in the wind. The man's breath enveloped her instantly, his hot breath brushing against her neck. Almost immediately, her eyes glazed over, her face flushed, and hot breath escaped from between her slightly parted teeth. If she hadn't tried her best to control herself, she probably would have made those shameful sounds.
Yue Zhan held her for a moment, then let go.
Shi Lan scrambled away from him.
Yue Zhan was taken aback by her strong reaction, a look of surprise flashing across his face.
Shi Lan was a little embarrassed, but she couldn't bring herself to talk about her condition, so she could only laugh awkwardly and say, "I'm not used to sleeping with someone. How about you sleep over there and I'll sleep over here, so we won't bother each other? What do you think?"
Yue Zhan remained silent for a moment, then nodded, pulled the brocade quilt from the bed over his head, and covered it with it.
Shi Lan waited quietly for a moment, and seeing that he didn't move, she felt relieved, turned to the side, and began cultivating the Chaos Technique. (To be continued.)
