"Let me go!" Shi Lan refused to give in and immediately kicked her legs in resistance.
Just kidding, if she were dragged in like this, she'd be devoured immediately.
Even if the uncle can tolerate it, the aunt can't.
Shi Lan quickly stretched out her two snowy arms and tried to grab his calloused hands by pinching and squeezing them.
Yue Zhan looked down at her. His jet-black hair was wet and hanging down, and his chest was already soaked with moisture. His bright purple robe darkened instantly, clinging tightly to his skin, while her snow-white back was pressed against his chest, brushing against him almost imperceptibly as she struggled.
Yue Zhan took a deep breath, and his heart suddenly started beating faster, which made him feel a little uncomfortable.
"Don't move. If you move again, don't blame me for being impolite."
Yue Zhan's voice was a little hoarse and deep, and if you listened carefully, you could detect the anger in it.
Shi Lan vaguely sensed that something was wrong and paused for a moment.
Yue Zhan's arms were strong and powerful, while the original owner's body was incredibly soft. Shi Lan struggled several times but couldn't move him an inch. She had given up hope of breaking free from his control, but she could only stall for time. She decisively grabbed the door frame in front of her, lifted her foot forcefully, and pressed it tightly against the threshold. She gritted her teeth, determined that even if her hands and legs were broken, she would never let go.
Yue Zhan pulled Shi Lan inside, but after taking only one step, he realized something was wrong. He turned around, saw Shi Lan's actions, and pursed his lips, looking somewhat helpless.
"open."
"..."
"I'll say it again, let go."
Yue Zhan seemed somewhat impatient, his voice cold.
Shi Lan held her breath, stubbornly shaking her head, her toes clenched tightly, and her ten fingers gripped the door frame firmly, her sharp nails almost scraping off the paint.
Yue Zhan frowned, and finally made his move. With a single palm strike, the door frame 'cracked' and crumbled like sugarcane pulp that had lost its moisture. He lifted his long leg, and the top of his boot gently brushed against the back of her knee.
Shi Lan's body went limp uncontrollably. She stared blankly at the sugarcane residue in her hand, unable to react for a moment.
Yue Zhan snorted coldly, carried the dazed Shi Lan to the bedside in the inner room, casually tossed her aside, and then waved the curtain down to block the cold wind that was slowly blowing in from outside.
Shi Lan rolled around on the couch twice to steady herself and looked up.
Yue Zhan untied the jade-inlaid bird-patterned waistband, quickly unfastened his soaked robe, kicked off his boots, and swiftly climbed onto the bed.
Shi Lan quickly took a few steps back, looking at him warily, and asked, "What are you going to do?"
Yue Zhan stared intently at her, a smile playing on his lips. "You're a servant in my household. What do you think I'm doing here?"
Shi Lan defensively covered her chest, which was already partially exposed, and said coldly, "Don't do anything rash. I only sell my art, not my body."
Yue Zhan was taken aback, but after a moment he actually laughed.
First came a low chuckle, then a loud laugh, and finally, he laughed so hard he was doubled over.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Even if you want to sell, you'd better see if I even want it," he suddenly stopped smiling, his expression turning cold, with a hint of disdain and contempt in his eyes.
He laughs one minute and doesn't laugh the next. This lunatic! If he didn't want to do that, why did he drag her in and throw her onto the bed?
Shi Lan blinked, somewhat confused.
Yue Zhan stretched out his hand and said coldly, "Come here."
Shi Lan raised her eyes and looked at him cautiously, while in her heart she was weighing the feasibility of using the Bewitching Technique on him.
"Hurry up, I don't want to say it a second time," Yue Zhan's voice was cold, and his expression was even colder, sounding like ice shards being stuffed into your ears.
Shi Lan pouted and reluctantly moved forward a little, thinking to herself that if he tried anything funny, she would pretend to comply and then take advantage of his unpreparedness to drug him.
Seeing that she was crawling like a tortoise, Yue Zhan impatiently pulled her, and Shi Lan cried out "Ouch!" and stumbled and fell directly into his arms.
A distinctly masculine scent assaulted her nostrils. Shi Lan let out a soft moan and, before she could even get up, collapsed like a limp rag doll, her body trembling slightly like a small animal.
Seeing her like this, Yue Zhan raised the corners of his mouth slightly, but still reached out and pushed her away a little. He grabbed her arm with his large hand, looking at it little by little and kneading it little by little, just like kneading dough.
Shi Lan quickly leaned back, tilting her head back as far as she could. Her flushed face was lifted with effort, her rosy lips slightly parted as she gasped for breath, as if only in this way could she regain her lost strength.
Yue Zhan glanced at her indifferently, propped one elbow on the couch, and kneaded her hands with relish in his other hand. "Was dinner tonight to your liking?"
"That's fine," Shi Lan replied vaguely, unsure of his intentions.
Yue Zhan moved his lips and said, "The kitchen staff is newly changed, and some of the flavors are quite novel. Since you think they're good, then tell me which dish you think is the best?"
Shi Lan grinned, thinking to herself, "Is there even a question? Compared to bland steamed meat, everyone would choose the crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside roasted lamb chops. The meat pie is actually quite delicious too, but to be on the safe side, she chose to follow the crowd and answered lamb chops."
Yue Zhan lowered his eyelids, looking at the small hands that appeared even more glossy and moist under the light, and said in a low voice, "I think the lamb chops weren't cooked enough, so the taste wasn't very good."
That's true, it's definitely much worse than the skills of those who make sweet fruit.
Shi Lan nodded, looking like she agreed.
Yue Zhan glanced at her quickly, his eyes filled with an unfathomable darkness.
Rarely did anyone share her opinion, Shi Lan couldn't help but blurt out, "The lamb chops aren't sweet enough. If we spent more time brushing them with honey a few more times, they would taste much better."
Yue Zhan nodded slightly and said, "I think the red bean cakes are quite good, and they're edible."
