An unexpected duel has come to an end. The majority of the guests present were A. After witnessing Shi Lan's moves, which were impossible for humans to achieve, they were honest with themselves and realized that even if they were in Sack's position, they could not have done better. Shi Lan's moves were too bizarre, especially that light swipe, which seemed to require no effort at all, yet it was as if the person's spine had been pulled out. Even someone as strong as Sack was as limp as a puddle of mud.
The unknown always inspires awe, so after Shi Lan left, the men's feelings were hard to describe. There was fear, anger, and of course, curiosity and longing.
Upon receiving the message from Shi's mother, Wenke smiled and withdrew from the crowd. As soon as he entered the corridor, Shi's mother grabbed him and briefly explained the situation before pushing him to take Shi Lan away.
When Wenk heard that Shi's father was coming, his face changed color. He hurriedly grabbed Shi Lan and ran outside, completely unaware that Moore was following behind and overhearing the conversation.
There were quite a few guests tonight, and Wink was the first to arrive. To make it easier for the other guests, his aircraft was parked the furthest away.
Shi Lan followed Wen Ke as they ran wildly. In mid-air, an aircraft drew an arc and approached them, trembling as it prepared to land.
Wenk squinted at her and quickly pushed Shi Lan aside, saying, "You go quickly, I'll handle things here."
Shi Lan wasn't too panicked at first. She believed that she had left some room for maneuver in her actions tonight. At least she had brought honor to the Shi family. After all, it was admirable that an Omega could defeat an Alpha with a military rank.
However, Shi Mu and Wenk's attitudes made her a little unsure, especially after she saw Wenk trying his best to restrain himself but still couldn't stop his fingers from trembling, which made her even more surprised.
Was she really wrong? But this was the original owner's wish, and she had no other choice.
Shi Lan gritted her teeth, forcibly looked away, and ran towards the parked aircraft.
Pulling the hatch, the metal was cold and unresponsive.
Shi Lan turned to Wen Ke and shouted, "Cousin, activate free mode."
Wenk cursed under his breath. He had forgotten that this aircraft was the latest model he had bought at a high price, and it required a fingerprint membrane to start. Looking at the aircraft that had slowly landed in the distance and whose hatch was slowly opening, he turned around and ran quickly towards Shi Lan.
Shi Lan's fingers were sweating with nervousness. She could see the familiar military blue-gray color peeking out from the hatch, but Wenk was still a few steps away.
Suddenly, a spacecraft sped up behind them, its hatch wide open, and Moore yelled from inside, "Get on!"
Shi Lan turned to look at him, then at Wenk, who was staring at Moore in astonishment, and Shi's father, whose military cap was already showing. She had no choice but to jump onto the aircraft.
Two meters away, Shi's father stepped down and saw Shi Lan turn around in panic. He shouted angrily, "Get down here!"
Shi Lan quickly curled up into a ball, closed the hatch behind her, glared at Moore who had stopped moving in fright because of Shi's father, and roared, "Hurry up and open it!"
Moore readily agreed, pulled up the lever, and turned the engine to maximum power. The aircraft shot off over Stone Father's head with a "whoosh".
Shi's father was furious and turned to chase after her, but Moore quickly grabbed her and winked at the soldier piloting the aircraft.
The soldier knew this was a family matter and that it was best for an outsider like himself not to get involved. So he simply pretended to be ignorant and didn't move unless Shi's father gave a clear order.
Shi's father flung Wenk aside and said angrily, "You stay put and wait, I'll settle your score with you later."
Wenk staggered back two steps, his face full of grievance. "Uncle, you're taking it out on me. I didn't do anything. Why are you holding me accountable?"
Mr. Shi snorted and said, "Stop with your slippery tricks. If you didn't do anything, why are there so many flying machines in my house? I don't remember inviting anyone over."
Wenk lowered his head and said nothing more. The facts were right in front of him. Even if he had a hundred mouths, he couldn't clear his name. Anyway, with Shi's mother around, Shi's father wouldn't do anything to him. At most, he would get a beating. He was thick-skinned and could just endure it.
Shi's father looked up at the sky, and in just a short while, the aircraft had disappeared without a trace.
Shi's father glared at the sky, annoyed, and asked the soldier, "Have you located it?"
The soldier blinked, turned his head and said, "Reporting to the general, no."
Shi's father's chest heaved violently twice, wanting to get angry, but he also knew that the soldier had not done anything wrong.
Military regulations stipulate that, without a special mission, one is not allowed to arbitrarily assign a location to another person while on duty.
Still burning with intense anger, and finding no one to vent it on, Shi Fu had no choice but to take it out on his boots, stomping hard as he walked toward the old house.
Wenk smiled slightly, gave the soldier an approving look, and quickly followed behind Shi's father like a lackey.
At this moment, Shi Lan, who was fleeing at high speed, had come to her senses. She turned her head to look at Moore, who was operating the aircraft in an orderly manner, and asked, "How did you know I was there?"
Moore's face turned red again. "I secretly followed Mr. Wen and overheard your conversation."
Shi Lan nodded. Although she was a little dissatisfied with his actions, he had at least saved her.
"Just put me first," Shi Lan thought instinctively, whether out of caution or some other reason she didn't want to delve into at the moment, she didn't want to get involved with anyone else.
Moore glanced down at the dark night sky. There were only a few empty streets, with nothing but a few scattered streetlights.
“It’s too late, it’s too dangerous for you to be here alone,” he said, pulling the lever to slide past. “I have a property nearby, if you don’t mind, you can stay there for the night and leave when it’s light.”
He turned to look at Shi Lan, a shy blush on his refined face, his eyes filled with apprehension at the possibility of rejection.
Shi Lan frowned, wanting to refuse.
Moore, sensing her meaning, spoke up before she could say anything: "That place is usually empty. I only go there occasionally. You don't have to worry about anyone seeing you there. Besides, it's cleaned regularly, so you don't have to worry about the bedding or hygiene."
Shi Lan pursed her lips and remained silent.
Moore glanced at her cautiously, then pretended to look ahead nonchalantly, swallowed hard, and said, "If you're worried about other things, just punch me unconscious. With your skills, you can keep me unconscious until dawn."
Shi Lan was stunned for a moment, then quickly waved her hand, as if to say that she didn't mean it that way.
Moore laughed and said, "Or you can let me experience the move you just made." He mimicked Shi Lan by pinching his fingers and making a gesture forward. He then turned to look at Shi Lan with admiration, "That was so cool."
Shi Lan smiled sheepishly and ultimately accepted his kindness. (To be continued.)
