Chapter 188 A Soft Girl Needs to Be Strong (Seventeen)

In the pitch-black night sky, the lights in front of the aircraft streaked across like shooting stars, passing over a large meadow and landing in front of a small building with red roof tiles.

Moore opened the hatch, grabbed something, and waved it towards the doorway, causing the thick, dark red lacquered door to make a slight sound.

Moore smiled at Shi Lan, opened the door, and gestured for Shi Lan to come in.

Shi Lan nodded in acknowledgment and went inside.

As if sensing someone entering, the lights in the room turned on instantly.

The bright lights made Shi Lan squint for a moment, then open her eyes again, her attention drawn to a giant painting displayed in the hall.

"This is...me?"

Shi Lan was very surprised. It was the image of her wielding her severed limbs and killing the Zerg that pounced on her the moment the rescue team arrived.

The door slowly closed, and Moore walked in with elegant steps.

“Yes,” he said, walking to the bar counter and pouring two glasses of juice. He handed one to Shi Lan and asked, “How is it?”

After thanking her, Shi Lan turned around and examined the painting carefully once more.

Moore gently stroked the edge of the painting, as if chanting: "A ray of brilliant sunlight on the horizon, a dark mass of insectoids ferociously swarms down, a soldier in tattered clothes and covered in dirt holds a severed limb, and with an indomitable and fearless will, he collects the greedy and ugly souls." He looked at Shi Lan and said: "This is the theme I want to express."

“You’re not talking about me,” Shi Lan smiled, took a sip of juice, and said, “To be honest, my mind was blank at the time. I was only thinking about how to get rid of these damn bugs, otherwise I would probably have been eaten to bits.”

Moore chuckled softly, saying nothing, just watching Shi Lan laugh heartlessly, her smile incredibly gentle.

The room fell silent, and the atmosphere suddenly became incredibly ambiguous.

Shi Lan blinked, suddenly realizing she had really lost her mind. She had actually been tricked into coming here by his few words, especially when it was just the two of them.

Where is my room?

To escape this awkward situation, Shi Lan decided to hurry into her room. Anyway, she could find the aircraft early the next morning and then go to Shi Min's place to hide from the disaster.

Moore snapped out of her reverie at her question and pointed to the stairs leading upstairs, saying, "You can stay in any of the rooms upstairs, whichever you like."

Shi Lan nodded, smiled at him, and then quickly made her escape.

Moore stood there, watching her retreating figure, a smile lingering on his lips.

Shi Lan hurried up the stairs. Even without turning around, she could feel the burning gaze on her back. At this moment, she really regretted it.

Upon entering the room, Shi Lan immediately locked the door. Just in case, she also dragged the wardrobe that was standing to one side to block the doorway.

She breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that she couldn't open it.

After a comfortable shower, Shi Lan collapsed onto the bed, looking at the chandelier on the ceiling. Recalling her father's furious expression when she jumped onto the aircraft, Shi Lan pursed her lips and smiled.

After a long day of activity, Shi Lan was exhausted, and the Chaos Technique within her body began to circulate on its own.

After so much time, she had long been used to it; as soon as she closed her eyes, her consciousness would automatically enter a state of darkness. She thought it would be the same today, but she was clearly wrong.

In this world, most omega-types, once they choose a mate, are basically taken along by their side or forced to stay in a place they consider safe.

The original owner was separated from her mother at a young age. She saw her mother being taken care of by her father, Shi, and later being locked up in the old house year after year. It was probably because of this that she rose up in resistance and, even at the risk of being severely beaten by her father, insisted on entering the military academy.

When she arrived in that world full of A's and saw more things, she felt even more that those A's were really going too far. The world is so big, yet they lock up O's like prisoners.

Similarly, Shi Lan, who had received the original owner's memories and experienced many worlds, also agreed with her point of view and did not understand the actions of these people.

Even when Shi Jun repeatedly emphasized that she was about to become an adult or that she needed to have a spouse, she felt that nothing was beyond the power of willpower.

But now she doesn't think so anymore. It's as if her body has suddenly been thrown into a furnace, with wisps of flame burning out of her body. A monster with claws grows out of her body and runs wildly around, trying to tear her to pieces.

A nest of ants had also taken up residence in her chest, causing a tingling, itchy sensation that made her unbearably restless. She wanted to scratch them, but she couldn't move at all. She wanted to scream, but no sound came out. The ants crawled around wildly, and the tingling, itchy feeling quickly spread throughout her body. At the same time, something strange began to appear deep within her body.

She was very familiar with this strange feeling; she had experienced it in the previous world, but that was because she had been deliberately trained. She could have avoided it by being careful. But now, her reaction came entirely from herself. It was a sign of her coming of age, a message she was releasing to attract a partner.

There was a sudden knock on the door, and Moore's voice came from outside.

"Miss Shi, are you alright?"

Moore's voice was very hoarse, as if he was suppressing something.

Shi Lan was startled and quickly opened her eyes. At this moment, her eyes were the only thing she could move.

Moore didn't hear her reply, so he knocked twice more. "Miss Shi, you..." He paused and said, "Are you sending a signal?"

Shi Lan swore that at that moment she heard Moore swallow.

"Go away, I didn't."
