Shi Lan glanced at his back, not to be outdone, finished her porridge in a few gulps, cleaned up the bowl, and strode out.

A light knock was made on the study door, and Ning Yuze's deep voice responded from inside.

Shi Lan pushed open the door, placed the fruit plate on the coffee table, glanced at Ning Yuze who didn't even look up, and said awkwardly, "Eat some fruit before you start working."

Ning Yuze's fingers flew across the keyboard. Hearing her say that, he merely glanced at her and gave a faint "hmm".

Seeing him like this, Shi Lan knew he was still breathing. She took a deep breath, lowered herself again, and leaned closer to him, saying, "I know you're busy. How about I peel the grapes for you so you can eat them while you work?"
