Feeling depressed, Shi Lan returned to her apartment, sat for a while, and then sighed softly.
The sigh was amplified in the quiet room, and Shi Lan suddenly woke up. She seemed to have been infected by the original owner's emotions again.
In fact, Shi Lan's previous thoughts were very similar to Cheng Hao's actions. However, after seeing that warm smile, she hesitated but did not intend to change her plans. But ever since she was provoked by Han Chunyan, Shi Lan found that her emotions were somewhat out of control. The original owner's emotions would always surface from time to time, and her actions began to become indecisive.
Shi Lan frowned. She had always tried to avoid being influenced by the emotions of the person making the wish, but this time the person making the wish was delicate and gentle, while Shi Lan, who was a bit rough around the edges, kept being led astray without realizing it.
Discarding the original owner's sentimental pity, Shi Lan quickly cleared the jumbled thoughts from her mind.
No matter how much the Liu family and Han Chunyan quarrel, it's ultimately someone else's business. She's too busy with her own affairs to care about others. She'd be happier if they fought like dogs.
Time flies like an arrow, and autumn is here in the blink of an eye. The once-sensational scandal of catching someone cheating has come to an end. Now, the hottest topic is the divorce of a certain celebrity. Several couples waiting to register their marriage near the Civil Affairs Bureau are scrolling through WeChat and looking at Weibo, which is constantly being updated with the latest news. People gather in twos and threes to discuss the innocent victimized celebrity and sneer at the woman who cheated on her husband with someone else.
Amidst the various opinions, a man and a woman silently walked out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, one heading east and the other west.
On almost the same day, in a hospital ward, Liu Shizhu looked at the baby in the cradle whose eyes had not yet opened, and his face was full of wrinkles from smiling.
After finishing her soup, the woman sitting by the bed turned to look at Liu Shizhu. Seeing him carefully touching the child's face, she said coquettishly, "Don't touch him. The child is still small. Touching him too much will make him drool."
Liu Shizhu quickly withdrew his hand, rubbed it together, and coaxed with a smile, "Okay, I won't touch it, I won't touch it."
The woman smiled sweetly and reached out her hand to him.
Liu Shizhu hurried over, carefully sat down on the edge of the bed, and looked at the woman.
The woman blushed slightly and said somewhat embarrassedly, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Liu Shizhu said emotionally, "Xiaoyue, you've worked so hard. I'm sorry to have wronged you this time."
The woman smiled gently, "I'm not wronged. As long as I'm with you, I'm not wronged."
Liu Shizhu held her hand, moved, his lips trembling, unsure of what to say to express his feelings.
A commotion came from outside the ward. The door was slammed open from the outside, and Miao Xiaojuan rushed in with her hair disheveled.
Liu Shizhu suddenly stood up and instinctively blocked Xiaoyue's way, "Why are you here?"
Miao Xiaojuan stopped and looked at her husband, whose face was pale and sallow, after spending most of her life with him. "Why am I here! I've come to see which little vixen has bewitched you."
Miao Xiaojuan roughly pushed Liu Shizhu aside and strode aggressively toward Xiaoyue.
Xiaoyue's face turned pale, and she tried to curl herself up into a ball, looking at Liu Shizhu with her big, pitiful eyes.
Liu Shizhu had always cherished her like a precious jewel, and Xiaoyue was also worthy of his efforts, giving birth to a healthy and chubby son for him. How could Liu Shizhu stand by and watch Xiaoyue be bullied? A surge of hot blood rushed to his head, and without thinking, Liu Shizhu pushed her away.
Miao Xiaojuan's attention was entirely focused on Xiaoyue. With her back to Liu Shizhu, she was caught off guard by the sudden force from behind and was pushed so hard that she fell flat on her face to the ground.
Xiaoyue covered her mouth in alarm, looking at Miao Xiaojuan with a face full of fear.
Liu Shizhu stepped forward, hugged Xiaoyue, patted her reassuringly, and said, "Don't be afraid, I'm here, everything will be alright."
Miao Xiaojuan cried out and struggled to get up from the ground, but couldn't get up for a while.
At the door, Liu Jinxiang, who was a few steps behind, walked in. When he saw his mother lying on the ground, he immediately became anxious and quickly helped Miao Xiaojuan up, glaring fiercely at Xiaoyue.
Xiaoyue huddled in Liu Shizhu's arms, her face, which had regained some of its rosy color, turned deathly pale with fright.
Liu Shizhu was heartbroken and turned to scold, "Isn't it embarrassing enough? Why don't you take her away right now?"
Miao Xiaojuan was not about to give up. She broke free from Liu Jinxiang, roared, and pounced on Liu Shizhu.
Liu Jinxiang glanced sideways at the baby.
He was different from Miao Xiaojuan. Miao Xiaojuan was only thinking about matters between men and women, while he was thinking about the distribution of property.
Originally, he was the only son in the Liu family, and the family's money would definitely belong to him in the future. Now that there is another child out of nowhere, how could he be willing to give away the money for nothing?
Seeing the hostility in his eyes, Xiaoyue rushed over, hugged the child, and pleaded, "Please, don't hurt the child. Take your anger out on me, but please don't hurt him. He's your brother."
Liu Jinxiang originally had no other thoughts; he was just a little unwilling. He didn't know that Xiaoyue's words had provoked him. Suddenly, Liu Jinxiang's eyes flashed with ferocity, and he reached out to grab the child.
Xiaoyue screamed and hugged the child tightly in her arms.
Liu Jinxiang cursed angrily and reached out to push Xiaoyue.
Xiaoyue, her body tilted, fell straight off the bed to the floor. The shock caused her to cry loudly.
Liu Jinxiang was taken aback, thinking to himself, "How come she's so easily pushed?"
Hearing the commotion, Liu Shizhu looked up and saw that Xiaoyue and her son had been hurt. He immediately grabbed the thermos from the bedside and slammed it at Liu Jinxiang, cursing, "You beast! He's my brother! How could you hurt your own brother?"
Liu Jinxiang dodged, and the thermos bottle exploded on the wall.
Liu Shizhu quickly helped Xiaoyue and her child up.
Seeing that his father was really angry, Liu Jinxiang didn't dare to say anything more and quickly helped Miao Xiaojuan, who had been pushed aside by Liu Shizhu, up and left.
