Chapter 11 The Ungrateful Uncle 1 (Era)

Xie Quanli's superior had an excellent relationship with him, and at the time, he was careful and left half of the money in the army, planning to return it to his son when he turned 18.

When Xie Laowai and his wife received the child, they were heartbroken. Although the child had been adopted, his cousin had passed away early, so Xie Quanli had always been raised by his side.

That cousin and the current clan leader are brothers and have a very close relationship. At the time, the clan leader didn't want his brother to have no one to carry on the family line, so he registered Xie Quanli under his name.

They said they would leave the child with Xie Laowai's family to raise, but he provided ample money and food, never shortchanging the child's upbringing. Unexpectedly, Xie Quanli later joined the army, leaving the clan chief furious with this adopted nephew.

But since his child became a martyr, even his deepest resentment turned into heartache. Now that his grandson has returned, he has actually considered taking over the care of the child.

The Xie family refused to hand over the child no matter what, and their reasons remained unknown.

Seeing that the Xie family refused, and that the clan chief was getting old, plus that his own descendants were not so easy to control, he gave up his right to raise Xie Ming.

Less than a year later, for some reason, Xie Laowai presided over the division of the family again, giving the young boy to the eldest son's family to raise.

When the family divided the property, Xie Laowai's sons, who seemed to be living fairly, all received a considerable amount of money, so the other two sisters-in-law didn't insist on supporting their nephew.

But after the family split up, Xie Ming's situation changed drastically.

From then on, he called his uncle and aunt "father" and "mother," but he never knew that he was not the eldest son's child. He only knew that his mother disliked him very much. And the older he got, the less the family treated him.

He had to work in the fields with the adults in his family when he was just a few years old, and he was often cursed with all sorts of foul language, such as "little bastard" and "freeloader."

The grandparents who lived with my uncle would sometimes say a few words if they couldn't stand it anymore, but they wouldn't offer any more support.
