Ye Jiu didn't respond to him for a long time, and Luo Rui'an subconsciously felt that something terrible had happened. He started to panic, but forced a smile and asked, "What's wrong? Is there something strange on my face?"
Ye Jiu hesitated and said, "The illusion on you... has failed."
Lorian immediately turned to look at his tail, the black, slender tail with a heart-shaped tip, which reappeared in his sight after many days.
Lorian's mind went blank for a moment. When did it fail? Did anyone see it?
His lips trembled. "Do you know when it expired?"
Ye Jiu tried to recall if she had seen his tail outside, but she had no recollection of it. She shook her head. "It seems to have appeared just after we entered the room."
Lorian took out his wand and immediately cast a spell on his tail again. However, after he finished chanting the spell, his tail did not change at all and continued to sway slightly in their eyes.
Lorian refused to believe it and chanted it several more times, but the intended magic did not work.
Ye Jiu was also stunned. "Is there some kind of magical restriction here? Otherwise, there's no reason why it wouldn't work."
She pulled out the newly acquired admission handbook and began flipping through it. The first page stated, "To ensure that magic is not misused, Celt Magic Academy has magical restrictions in place outside of teaching areas, prohibiting the indiscriminate use of magic."
Fighting using magic is strictly prohibited. Anyone caught doing so will be disciplined!
Ye Jiu pursed her lips and showed this to Luo Ruian, "Unfortunately, it seems that the illusion can't be used in this school."
Lorrian quickly recovered, "It's okay. I already wrote on my application that I'm mixed race, and the teachers at school probably already know that. It's just that now more students will know too."
Lorian was very concerned about his mixed-race identity. This was the first time she had seen his tail since he learned the illusion technique. Ye Jiu didn't know what to say to comfort him for a moment.
He shrugged and turned back to help Ye Jiu make the bed.
Ye Jiu silently took out the blank scroll she had bought before, wrote a communication scroll, folded the scroll and put it into his pocket. "This is a communication scroll. The first words you say after you tear it open will be transmitted to my ears. If you ever need to, be sure to tear it open, and I will appear to protect you."
Loriel felt a warmth in her heart, then smiled helplessly, "Ye Jiu, is it possible that I am no longer as weak as before, that I can protect myself? Even if I can't use my magic, there are other things I can use, like the potions you gave me before."
"It's alright, these two things don't conflict. Maybe you used it not because you were in danger, but because you made me a delicious meal and were anxious to call me back to taste it."
Lorian was amused by her words, "If that's what you want, I'll work even harder to improve my cooking skills."
Ye Jiu scratched his head sheepishly after hearing this, "Haha, I didn't mean that your cooking was bad. I was just using an example, a random example. It's like you can call me for some trivial things, which aren't worth much."
Lorian nodded. "I understand. What would you like to eat tonight? We can go shopping together later, or we can go to a restaurant. I saw one on the way here, I can show you the way."
The topic was diverted, and Ye Jiu's mind was filled with thoughts of what to have for dinner.
This incident was turned into a trivial episode and was glossed over.
······
The school uniform of Celtic Magic Academy is a loose, navy blue mage's robe with an exquisite school emblem printed on the chest. For uniformity, the students' personal maids/servants also wear the same robes, but their robes do not have the school emblem, which is used to distinguish them from the students.
It can hide many things, such as a tail.
When Lorian wore this robe, his tail was well covered, and if only his ears and eyes were exposed, most people would think he was a pure-blooded elf.
Classes began on the second day of the semester. Ye Jiu followed the group into the teaching building and found her class. Luo Rui'an followed closely behind Ye Jiu, no less so than a professionally trained male servant.
Just as Ye Jiu was walking from the dormitory to the teaching building, she discovered that the school's inclusiveness far exceeded her expectations. Almost everyone was followed by a servant. Some of these servants wore their magician robes properly, while others had altered them, revealing their bodies beneath the robes as they walked. This made Ye Jiu question the school's seriousness.
Moreover, there are many mixed-race people, of all kinds, but they all have one thing in common: their faces are all very good-looking.
Lorian concealed his tail and blended in perfectly, looking completely normal and not at all as eye-catching as he had imagined.
"No wonder it's a big city," Ye Jiu exclaimed. "It's so open."
Lorien smiled. This scene made him feel much more at ease. He was no longer an outcast among them, and he didn't even need to worry about whether his tail was hidden properly.
Celt Magic Academy adopts a small class teaching system, with only fifteen students in a class, but because of the presence of servants, this classroom now has 30 seats.
When Ye Jiu entered the classroom, she saw that many students were already sitting together chatting, their servants waiting quietly not far away. There were also some students who were not participating in the chat, chatting casually with their servants in their seats.
Ye Jiu randomly found a corner spot and casually flipped through the textbooks that had already been placed on the table.
She randomly picked two pages and opened them, only to find that she knew all the magic spells on them. She immediately closed the book and picked another one, glancing at the table of contents and discovering that she seemed to know all those spells as well.
