Upon hearing this last point, Ye Jiu exclaimed in amazement. No wonder Luo Rui'an couldn't use his illusion technique in the classroom; it turned out he was preventing this! It has to be said that students have an infinitely creative mind when it comes to finding ways to skip class.
They would come up with any way to avoid attending classes, and Ye Jiu was no exception.
"That's all," Colotita continued. "More specific prohibitions are in the school handbook. I hope you'll take a good look at it after school. Then I'll arrange the entrance exams for tomorrow."
"This opening exam is to assess your progress and help the teachers better understand your magical learning progress and specific talents, so that they can develop relevant plans for your future studies."
"As for the mysterious grand prize that everyone's been talking about for first place, I can tell you right now that it's a potion with secondary elemental affinity—a multi-element potion."
Kolotita paused here, waiting for the students below to finish their surprise before continuing, "I hope everyone will take this exam seriously. The exam will be a one-on-one practical test. During the exam, the use of potions and any magical tools other than wands is not allowed. Anyone found doing so will be expelled immediately."
"At 8:00 AM tomorrow, be on time at the outdoor training ground. One warning will be given for being late, and one demerit will be given for being absent from the exam. More than five warnings or more than three demerits will result in immediate expulsion."
"Okay, that's all for now. Everyone is free to do as they please." With that, Clotita picked up her books and left the classroom.
As soon as she left, the classroom became noisy.
Vivian turned to talk to Ye Jiu and casually asked, "How many elements do you have a connection with?"
Just to be on the safe side, Ye Jiu answered, "Two. Wood and Fire."
Vivian rested her chin on her hand, her face filled with longing. "That's wonderful. I only have an affinity for the gold element. Actually, I think if it weren't for my family's support, I wouldn't have been able to get the acceptance letter from Celt Magic Academy at all."
Ye Jiu comforted her, "Don't think like that. It's probably more of an affirmation of you. Otherwise, all the children from big families would come here to study."
Upon hearing this, Vivian started counting on her fingers how many people she knew didn't attend this school. She was shocked by the number she counted.
"Wow, out of all my friends, only me and another girl received acceptance letters?!" Vivian scratched her head. "I used to think it was a lot, but now it seems like so few."
"That's right, doesn't that prove your excellence? You must be very good at using metal magic."
Vivian giggled, "Thank you for the compliment. I also think I've learned metal magic very well."
After Vivian finished laughing, she started talking to Ye Jiu about multi-element potions.
"Multi-element potions are rare. They have a certain chance of stimulating a person's magical talent, or increasing a person's affinity for another element. If you're lucky, they can increase the affinity for more than one element, achieving the effect of defying fate."
Vivian nodded seriously after speaking, "I really want it too, but it's a bit too difficult for me, but I will try my best."
Before Ye Jiu could reply, Vivian continued, "Oh right, what about you? Are you interested in it? Oh dear, what a strange question I asked. How could anyone not be interested in this?"
Ye Jiu realized that she seemed to just want to talk to someone, and she didn't care whether the person replied or not.
Ye Jiu nodded, "Yes, I'm interested."
Vivian looked like she knew it all along. "Okay, we're competitors now. Good luck."

Back in his dorm, Ye Jiu listlessly flipped through the textbooks the school had given him. Celt Magic Academy offered five courses: Magic Combat, Potion Making, Spells, History of Magic, and Close Combat.
Yes, you need to be good at both ranged and melee combat. If a mage goes to the battlefield and their wand is broken or they encounter some unknown magical restriction that prevents them from using magic, then the importance of hand-to-hand combat becomes apparent.
The program lasts five years, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, these five years should consist of these five courses.
The material covered in the first semester is considered by Ye Jiu to be extremely basic. Ye Jiu is unsure whether this is the level of others or if she is learning something too advanced.
She really did read way too many books. After all, there weren't many entertainment options, so when Ye Jiu couldn't sleep, she would read, and she could read anything she wanted (×).
Luo Rui'an came out of the kitchen after washing the dishes, still wearing the pink apron that Ye Jiu had bought for her.
Somewhat comical, Ye Jiu chuckled, "You actually use this? Didn't I bring a black one too?"
Lorien glanced down at her apron. "This one is fine too, there's no difference."
"It's cute, and it suits you quite well."
Lorien blushed inexplicably and secretly decided to use this color from now on.

The opening exams are just around the corner, and all 200 first-grade students, from fourteen classes, are gathered in this space.
There are 10 large arenas in the center, and the magical restrictions surrounding the arenas can be faintly seen in the sunlight.
"No killing blows on the arena, stop when you've made your point." The amplification magic made these words reach everyone's ears, and after confirming that it was correct, the drawing of lots began.
The numbers are carried over from 200 to 100, then from 100 to 50, and so on, until the first, second, and third are determined.
Lorian was much more nervous than Ye Jiu, who was about to compete. He carried a bunch of healing potions and all sorts of other medicines with him, afraid that Ye Jiu would get hurt.
He didn't show it on his face, but when he heard the teacher who was drawing lots call out Ye Jiu's name, he almost crushed the potion bottle in his hand.
Before going on stage, Ye Jiu patted Luo Rui'an's head and said, "I will protect myself. Actually, I'm very strong." She shrugged.
