Chapter 98 The Dual-Personality Senior 3 (2/2)

She lowered her eyes, not daring to meet his gaze.

Did you hear me wrong?

“I heard every single word you just said! I was dating three girls at the same time? I only prey on naive girls? I was on a date with a girl at a coffee shop last week? I almost caused my senior to become depressed and drop out of school?”

Ji Chen chuckled lightly, but his eyes were as cold as ice.

With each word she spoke, Wenwan's shoulders shrunk, until she almost curled up into a ball.

"I...I just...I heard it from someone else..."

She defended herself in a low voice.

"Who told you that? The person next to you?"

"Is she your friend's best friend? Can you tell me her name? I want to ask her in person when I dated her and when I hurt her!"

Ji Chen pressed for answers, showing no respect for Wen Wan whatsoever.

Her gentle lips trembled violently, her eyes quickly welled up with tears, and glistening teardrops clung to her eyelashes, threatening to fall.

Ji Chen suddenly felt a wave of weakness. Just as he was about to speak, Wen Wan suddenly spoke first.

"Waaah... How could you misunderstand me like this, senior..."

She suddenly covered her cheeks with her slender hands, and deliberately peeked at Ji Chen's reaction through her fingers in a cute way.

When she realized that the other person not only didn't soften, but their alluring eyes grew even colder, she looked like a clown.

Her sobs immediately escalated into exaggerated wailing, her shoulders heaving violently with each sob, as if she were performing a poorly acted melodrama.

Su Yao stood there awkwardly, her shoes unconsciously grinding against the fallen leaves on the ground.

She was all too familiar with this trick; whenever Wen Wan made a mistake, she would use this method to get away with it.

She used to think it was cute, but now it feels so awkward.

What shocked Su Yao even more was that when Wen Wan realized that crying was ineffective, she suddenly turned around abruptly, her skirt tracing a hurried arc in the air.

She just ran away in front of everyone??

M, running away is shameful but useful, right?!

Wen Wan even called herself her best friend, saying she was doing it for her own good!

How could we leave her in such an awkward situation, making her face her senior alone!

The book was open in front of Xue Xunzhi, and the dust floating between the pages danced in the light, making his fingertips, which were turning the pages, look like they were carved from white jade.

Suddenly, a gaze that seemed to have a physical presence pierced through.

He looked up and saw a girl not far away hurriedly lowering her head, her long hair falling down to cover her profile.

Xue Xunzhi withdrew his gaze without much interest, pressing his slender fingers against his aching temples.

Just as he turned to look at the sycamore trees outside the window, a bright orange-red color suddenly caught his eye.

Beside the bushes behind the library, a girl was squatting in a corner, her back to the library.

She stood out against the lush green bushes, wearing an exaggerated orange-red sweatshirt and jeans.

Xue Xunzhi squinted and recognized that it was a person.

Just as he was about to look away, a familiar orange cat emerged from the bushes and rubbed affectionately against his leg.

Xue Xunzhi raised an eyebrow. That was the famous troublesome stray cat, Orange, at the school. He would occasionally go over and feed it some leftover fish from the cafeteria.

Curiosity compelled Xue Xunzhi to tilt his head and continue observing.

The man took a small bag out of his shoulder bag and poured it into a plastic bowl.

Even from a distance, Xue Xunzhi could guess that it was cat food.

But what happened next made him frown. The man took out a professional mobile phone gimbal, attached his phone, adjusted the angle, and aimed it at the orange cat that was eating, clearly recording a video.

"They're probably filming some kind of publicity video again..."

Xue Xunzhi scoffed inwardly, closed the book, and walked out of the library.

He despises this kind of behavior that pretends to be kind but is actually just trying to get attention.

The thought that Daju was just a tool for this person to gain followers made him feel a surge of anger.
