Chapter 622: Cold Beauty vs. Younger Loyal Dog (Stray Dog) 22

The night breeze blew gently, the lights on the terrace were still emitting soft light, but everything around seemed to have suddenly slowed down.

"Chi Ye, this wine you brought back seems a bit dizzying when you drink it..." Chen Yao said slowly, the fruity aroma and the smell of alcohol in her mouth had fully blended together.

"A friend gave it to me. This is my first time drinking it too." Chi Ye raised his eyes and looked into her dazed eyes. "Are you drunk?"

"No." Chen Yao said firmly. With this alcohol content, she was not drunk.

After she finished speaking, she turned her gaze and saw the cream cake on the table.

It looked delicious and had just been left there untouched by them.

She slowly stood up, separated a small portion from the top, and asked Chi Ye if he wanted it.

Chi Ye didn't really like sweets, and this was actually brought for her, so she said, "No, you can eat it."

Chen Yao nodded and didn't ask any more questions. After eating a few bites, she thought it was getting late and it was almost time for her to go downstairs.

Just when I was about to pick up my phone to check the time, I heard Chi Ye say, "Are you sleepy? Let me take you downstairs."

Chen Yao hummed, and stood up from the chair a little unsteadily. "I feel a little dizzy, I want to rest early, you should rest early today too."

Chi Ye: "Well, let's go, let's go down together."

When sending the person to the door of the room, Chi Ye still couldn't help but remind him: "There was some cream on the corner of your mouth just now."

Chen Yao was startled, "Okay, I'll wipe it off later."

Chi Ye: "Well, good night, see you tomorrow."

Chen Yao: "Good night."

When Chi Ye returned to the terrace to clean up, his eyes lingered for a moment on the cream cake from which Chen Yao had cut a small part.

Then, somehow, he picked up the spoon, scooped a few mouthfuls and put them into his mouth.

The cream melts and spreads in your mouth, bringing a hint of sweetness.

So, this is the taste...

The next day, when Chen Yao just woke up, she received a WeChat message from Chi Ye, asking her about painting.

Chen Yao thought about it and decided on a time range from afternoon to evening.

The other side quickly replied: [Yes. ]

She did it right away. After getting up, Chen Yao went to organize her painting supplies. She packed up everything she needed and piled it aside so that she could take them all at once.

During lunch, Chen Yao didn't see Chi Ye downstairs, so she casually asked Grandma Chi.

Grandma Chi said, "He's probably still catching up on some sleep. I don't know what happened to him today, but he got up early and went for a morning run. When he came back, he just ate something quick and then said he was sleepy and went back to his room to catch up on some sleep. It looks like he didn't get enough rest last night. It's okay, let's eat our own food. If he's hungry, he'll come downstairs to find something to eat."

Chen Yao nodded, but still felt a little strange in her heart, because they clearly didn't stay on the terrace very late last night.

What she didn't know was that Chi Ye had some strange dreams last night for no apparent reason.

Grandma Chi didn't forget to save some food for Chi Ye, and muttered, "Logically speaking, he ate so much yesterday, it wouldn't be a problem if he didn't eat all day today."

After she finished speaking, she told Chen Yao, "Eat more."

Chen Yao smiled and said okay.
