Long Xun casually struggled, and the thing pressing down on him was pushed aside with a loud bang—it was a three-meter-tall instrument whose purpose was unknown.
Long Xun didn't rush out to see what this place was like, which looked like an abandoned secret research base. Instead, he looked at the ring on the middle finger of his left hand.
Information about this world began to flood my mind.
After finally sorting out the story and the original memories of the character 'Long Xun' in the story, Long Xun couldn't help but silently look up at the ceiling with a blank expression.
It's as if this way I can look through the ceiling and see Mu Lanjun, who is still in the rest area.
This is a magical world. The magical thing about this world is that it is actually composed of two novels. The second novel can be considered a fan fiction or a sequel to the first novel.
The first novel is a post-apocalyptic female protagonist novel. The female protagonist, Zhang Moyu, was originally a kind and innocent girl, but when the apocalypse came, she attracted danger several times because of her beauty or her soft heart. At the same time, because her ice-type superpower also affected her personality, she became a ruthless, cold-blooded, and indifferent person.
Aside from being plagued by bad luck and constantly encountering the wrong people, leading her to repeatedly follow the pattern of saving people → being betrayed → seeking revenge → feeling empty, Zhang Moyu is otherwise incredibly gifted. The first dozen or so chapters are filled with various adventures, epiphanies, and her superpowers rapidly increasing. It seems that halfway through the story, the author suddenly remembered to arrange the girl's later life, and with a stroke of the pen, a severely injured superpowered person appears out of nowhere.
The female lead, who is always betrayed, just had a big battle with zombies. Maybe she was kicked in the head by a zombie. Anyway, she doesn't learn her lesson and saves the man again. She is soft-hearted one moment and feels that she will be betrayed the next. In short, she takes care of the male lead Ye Tan in a hot and cold way. Ye Tan is grateful. Even though Zhang Moyu is unpredictable, he still keeps this kindness in his heart.
The male and female leads fight zombies, fall in love, and then two, three, four, five, or six male supporting characters appear and try to steal the female lead from the male lead, only to be defeated by him. This fills out a long stretch of the story. After that, the author thinks, "Hmm, no, I need to introduce a boss to create some drama." So, a boss named Mu Chunfeng appears. The boss's main task is to show off, kill zombies, and kill humans.
He's all about showing off and running away without hesitation. Although a closer look reveals that this boss is clearly heading towards becoming evil with each appearance, he never actually clashes with the male and female leads. It's only near the end of the story that he suddenly goes crazy and starts yelling at the female lead, only to be defeated by her in the end.
After finishing this first book, even Long Xun's calm heart couldn't help but clench. What the hell is this?! Where's the logic?! Where's the logic?! I feel like my IQ isn't up to par?! What on earth is this writing?!
—Actually, they just want to have a romantic relationship in a post-apocalyptic setting, don't ask for too much.
The second novel then became a story about a reborn male protagonist, Ye Tan. Ye Tan's rebirth occurred after he was saved by the female protagonist, but they were still just companions on their journey, and he had not yet fallen in love with her.
After her rebirth, Ye Tan took a different path and encountered the final boss, Mu Chunfeng, right from the start. At that time, Mu Chunfeng was a truly gentle and kind young man. The initial reason for his corruption was that his mother, an ordinary person, went out to find food for him and was eaten by zombies. Afterwards, the young man learned that the female lead was actually nearby at the time, but ignored her cries for help.
This time, Mu Chunfeng's mother was saved by the righteous young man Ye Tan, which completely eliminated the possibility of Mu Chunfeng turning to the dark side. The two, one gentle and reserved and the other upright and passionate, hit it off immediately and became best buddies. In the end, they even kicked the female lead aside and became a couple with each other.
Doing good deeds is so important, my friend!
Wait a minute? The male lead and the villain are a couple?!
Long Xun's calm expression suddenly cracked.
After a long while, Long Xun, who was bewildered by the wind, slowly regained his composure and continued to look ahead.
In the second novel, the female lead becomes a supporting female character, while the male supporting characters remain the same, still vying for Zhang Moyu. In the end, a taciturn man named Po defeats everyone and wins the beauty's heart.
Just as the male and female leads were forming their own couples, the real big boss, the doctor who researched the J virus that caused the apocalypse, appeared. And the only assistant by the doctor's side was—Long Xun???
Having played the role of a hero twice, has he finally become the villainous male supporting character this time?
Long Xun felt incredibly miserable.
The Doctor is a mysterious figure, only mentioned twice by Long Xun in the original work. We only know that this big boss exists, but it is Long Xun from the original work who usually causes trouble for the male and female protagonists and their couple.
The text describes Long Xun as cold as a machine devoid of any emotion. According to the clues revealed in the text, the reason he trips up the male and female protagonists and their couple is because Long Xun and the doctor believe that one of their group must be the Zombie King. Therefore, they want to force the Zombie King to appear, control him, and thus control all the zombies in the world and take control of the entire world.
It's so cringeworthy it's unbearable to watch.
Of course, it didn't work out in the end. In the original story, Long Xun died at the hands of zombies, and the Doctor was blown up without even showing his face. But the author left a suspenseful ending, and whether the Doctor died or not is still a mystery.
But none of that matters.
After sorting through his memories, Long Xun walked to the glass and quietly looked at the person lying peacefully inside.
This person is the original being injected with the J virus. Since he can appear here, it seems that this world is based on the second novel.
