Chapter 4: The Dragon in the World Where Men Become Women (Part 4)

"Long Xun, look how destined we are!" Yin Chen chatted with Long Xun with great interest. Long Xun was so annoyed by him that he simply shut off his hearing and lay down to take a nap.

Fine, I'll bear with it for now. As soon as class ends today, I'll go to the government and inform them about the possible supernatural riots that might happen in the future.

Once the government is prepared, the rest will be much simpler. He also doesn't need to worry about the rest of the world, since the whole story unfolds within this country; he only needs to protect that country.

After saying a few words, Yin Chen realized that Long Xun was determined to ignore him, and he couldn't help but sigh dejectedly.

To say that Yin Chen is a winner in life is an understatement. He comes from a wealthy family, is handsome, rich, knowledgeable, and intelligent. He also has good friends, his family is among the most prominent in the world, and he is the sole heir with no competitors. He is destined for a smooth and prosperous life from birth to death. It's fortunate that the Yin family has good upbringing, otherwise Yin Chen would have been corrupted. His enthusiastic and humorous demeanor makes it impossible to imagine his family's wealth.

Yin Chen wasn't impulsive. He had witnessed too many stories of infighting within wealthy families, understood the value of money, and knew that many people in the world were suffering. He was grateful and filial to his parents, and had never done anything to cause them trouble. Although he occasionally felt bored with the predictable nature of life, he never considered doing anything thrilling or exciting to test the nerves of his parents and family.

Only after encountering this dragon on a plane did his proud self-control instantly crumble.

These days, Yin Chen dreams about Long Xun constantly. Whether it's the enormous and majestic dragon form that instills fear and trembles in one's soul, the aloof and lazy dragon-human form that seems like a god, or the incomparably handsome and stunningly beautiful human form, they all appear in his dreams in turn.

When Yin Chen woke up from his dream, he remembered nothing, only a burning feeling surging in his heart. Before meeting Long Xun at the karaoke bar, Yin Chen's increasingly intense emotions brought him only despair.

That was a dragon, a dragon soaring through the sky. He only knew the other's name, but didn't know how to find it, where it lived, or if they would ever meet again.

Yin Chen clearly realized that he had fallen in love with a dragon at first sight, a love that ran deep in his bones. At the same time, he couldn't have her, and had absolutely no chance to pursue the dragon he loved.

The pain he felt that day made him, unusually, accept his friend's invitation to a gathering, intending to drown his sorrows in alcohol. However, he didn't expect that while he was in the bathroom, he would see a person whose appearance was extremely similar to that of the dragon-human form!

Even though it was just a reflection in the mirror, Yin Chen's unrequited love for the dragon made him blurt out its name without thinking.

Afterwards, Yin Chen was still laughing at himself, thinking, "How can a dragon and a person be the same thing?" However, when that person's drunk companion also came, Yin Chen understood everything.

It's a coincidence that people and dragons look strikingly similar, but what about those with the same name?

Later, when Long Xun pinned him against the wall and threatened him, he saw even more clearly those strange eyes with vertical pupils, eyes that no human could possibly possess.

A tremendous surprise swept over Yin Chen.

It turns out that the dragon was actually in the human world, attending the same school as him, and was even his classmate, both freshmen, in the same department, and even in the same class. They were students he would always run into in class.

He never noticed the person who always sat in the corner, with hunched shoulders and a bowed head.

It turns out that he wasn't completely hopeless; he still had a chance to see him and a chance to try to get closer to him.

When Yin Chen couldn't get what he wanted, he fantasized about actually getting the dragon, but after meeting it, he realized how humble his desires were.

As long as... as long as I can catch a glimpse of the other person, that's enough.

Yin Chen recalled the novel-like experiences of the past few days, and looking at Long Xun who had quickly fallen asleep, he couldn't bear to look away.

Watch for a little while longer, just a little while.

Then Yin Chen just stared blankly at Long Xun for the entire class period.

The people in this classroom might not recognize Long Xun, but they certainly knew Yin Chen, the school heartthrob. Handsome people always attract extra attention, whether intentionally or unintentionally.

The school heartthrob suddenly sat down next to this student and stared at him intently. What kind of love-hate relationship could this be?

It's just a bit of curiosity, nobody's that gossipy and keeps staring at other people's business all day. After imagining it, everyone goes back to doing what they were doing, maybe mentioning it briefly in casual conversation.

In fact, Long Xun hadn't slept at all. With his keen senses, he could clearly feel Yin Chen's burning gaze fixed on him, even though he tried to conceal it, it was as if he hadn't.

For some reason, Long Xun felt a bit disgusted by such gazes, as if something had happened to someone with similar gazes that he didn't want to recall.

The patience that came from being somewhat familiar with Yin Chen vanished in an instant due to a sudden surge of annoyance. As soon as get out of class ended, Long Xun stood up. He didn't even bother to say a word to Yin Chen, who wanted to follow him. With a thought, Yin Chen was already sitting in his seat, unable to move.

It wasn't until Long Xun had gone far away that Yin Chen realized that his inability to move or speak had disappeared.

But Yin Chen didn't chase after him. He sat blankly in his seat, and the classroom gradually emptied, but he didn't move.

He's annoyed that I'm bothering him like this.

Yin Chen clearly realized this, as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over his burning heart, making him feel frozen and his teeth chatter.

However, Yin Chen quickly cheered up and ran happily to the cafeteria.

If he hurrys up, he might be able to eat at the same table as Long Xun!

Yin Chen didn't realize that his quick recovery was unlike that of a young man who had just been rejected after being full of passion. Instead, it was as if he had gotten used to rejection and, after the cold and pain, had no confusion and continued on his way without feeling lost.

Long Xun didn't care about Yin Chen. He had already decided to avoid this person who always felt familiar and troublesome.

Back in his dorm room, Long Xun packed his things and left. Before leaving, he left a note for his roommates, saying that he had something to do and would be back late, and asked them to help him deal with the counselor.

Long found a secluded spot, then used his invisibility to teleport away, leaving the university before he had even had his second day.
