Chapter 5: The Dragon in the World Where Men Become Women (Part 5)

If someone were to break into your study, which is filled with alarms and guards are stationed in any potential attack area, how would you react?

The old man, who stood at the highest point of power among all people in the country, remained very calm. He did not shout or yell. Looking at the person sitting in the office chair where he usually handled state affairs, with the back of the chair facing away from the door, he simply said gently, "Young man, this is not a place for you."

The next second, countless guns and countless people appeared out of nowhere, guns pointed at the person, while people surrounded the old man.

Long Xun, who had been waiting for the old man to finish his meeting, didn't mind being surrounded and said calmly, "If you don't come today, it will be too late to come later."

He turned his chair around and stood up.

Anyone who saw his current appearance gasped in shock and was stunned.

The man was young and handsome. Seeing him, one would suddenly understand why some beauties in history were described as having the power to topple kingdoms and bring ruin to the country. However, his appearance was extremely dignified. Dragon horns on his head snaked backward and pointed diagonally to the sky. A golden teardrop-shaped mark on his forehead shone brightly. His pale golden vertical pupils were indifferent and languid. His long silver-white hair was draped down his back, and he was simply wearing a white shirt.

Where did this lunatic come from?

—That was basically what everyone present was thinking at the time.

They quickly abandoned the idea. Long Xun walked out from behind the table, wearing faded jeans and old canvas shoes, looking like a frugal student. However, he had a silver tail behind him, like a snake's tail, but with lighter-colored silver fur on his back, forming a small fan-like shape at the tip.

The tail, over a meter long, swayed incredibly nimbly behind the man as he moved. Everyone looked at the man's dragon horns and golden eyes, then at his tail...

"...Are you a genetically modified human?" the old man asked with great humor.

Ignoring the guns pointed at him, Long Xun strode towards the old man.

"Stop! Or we'll shoot!"

The guard captain warned, but Long Xun ignored him. The next moment, gunshots rang out.

Just like Neo from The Matrix, the bullets slowed down the moment they approached Long Xun, eventually freezing completely within a meter of him. The ripples from the bullets cutting through the air also solidified in the air. Only after Long Xun passed did the solidified bullets disappear into the air and continue in their own direction.

So everyone stared in disbelief as Long Xun didn't change his pace at all, allowing them to clearly see how their bullets flew out. Then, just like vehicles obeying traffic rules, they waited until Long Xun had passed before riddling everything behind him with holes.

"An esper? Or one of those beings from our traditional mythology?" The elderly man, whose courage surpassed that of ordinary people, waved his hand to stop the guards from firing their useless shots, and looked curiously at Long Xun, who was still approaching.

"Human, aren't you afraid?" Long Xun's face was expressionless, and it was impossible to tell what he was thinking.

“If you have malicious intent, you are capable of stopping me before I call them over,” the old man said. After instructing the guards to leave, he gestured for them to leave: “It’s too chaotic here. If this gentleman doesn’t mind, we can discuss your purpose somewhere else.”

When Long Xun and the old man sat down in a place suitable for conversation, and the secretary served them fine tea, the tense atmosphere from before had disappeared.

The old man naturally ignored the non-human appearance and other unusual features of the person in front of him.

"Are you shocked by my abilities?" Long Xun never liked beating around the bush or guessing games; he preferred a straightforward and decisive style.

The old man nodded, his kind and gentle demeanor belying that of a national leader: "Indeed, it is quite shocking."

"Soon, there will be humans who can control various abilities. There will be many of them." Long Xun rested his chin on one hand, leaning back on the sofa. His dragon tail dangled from the other armrest of the sofa, the tip of the tail swaying slowly back and forth, exuding utter nonchalance.

The old man thought to himself, even if he were ten years younger, he wouldn't be able to remain calm in the face of this non-human being. He was simply breathtakingly beautiful.

"You mean, like just now, someone who can easily pass through layers of protection and isn't afraid of bullets... a non-human being?" The old man calmly repeated.

"No, it's humans, you humans." After pondering for a moment, the dragon simply transformed into its dragon form within a ball of light and coiled itself on the sofa.

The previously composed old man was instantly shocked, his face changing color: "A divine dragon?!"

The reason for such shock is related to the fact that this country always prides itself on being descendants of the dragon.

Transforming into dragon form was so comfortable that Long Xun couldn't help but let out a soft sigh. He flew lightly around the sofa for a short while before settling into a comfortable position on the sofa—which was easy for someone his current one-meter length—and then continued to fool the old man.

"The world is changing, and more and more mortals are turning into... 'superpowered individuals' these days. If I'm not mistaken, there will be more and more of these people in the future." Long Xun looked at the old man and nodded his dragon head. "I also have a share in the bloodline of the Divine Land. Chaos is about to arise, so I came to inform you."

Seeing the old man deep in thought, Long Xun sighed inwardly. Fortunately, he had often put on a serious face and acted aloof, so telling such a big lie now wasn't inappropriate at all. Next, it was time to tell the old man the lie he had prepared, combined with the facts.
