They've gone mad.
Suddenly, someone noticed Long Xun standing in the crowd. His shout drew the attention of more people. These humans had grotesque and twisted faces, and their bloodshot eyes were staring at Long Xun. They reached out as if they wanted to kill the 'murderer' on the spot.
Long Xun could understand them, but he couldn't let them take it out on him.
He reached out and grabbed Sheila, whose chaotic movements had become jerky, and Po, who looked like he had lost his soul. With a light step, he withdrew from the crowd. Those whose eyes had turned red completely forgot how terrifying Long Xun was.
Even if it means death... I'll take a piece of his flesh! Even if one punch is enough to kill me, I'll make him know the meaning of my hatred!
The already frenzied crowd surged forward. Camo and Mu Chunfeng snapped out of their daze and immediately chased after them, blocking Long Xunpo and Xila's path. With a wave of his hand, Camo created a tiny spatial rift in front of the crowd, while Mu Chunfeng unleashed a wall of fire that almost licked the ceiling.
Before they could even utter a threat, the group of scientists, who had gone mad, charged forward without hesitation. Tiny spatial rifts left bloody marks on their bodies, and some even had half an ear and a piece of flesh cut off. Then, they rushed through the scorching wall of fire without hesitation.
Mu Chunfeng and Kamo were terrified by their madness. They hastily withdrew their blockade line, knowing that someone was about to die, and watched helplessly as the people rushed over.
Startled by the chaos before her, Sheila snapped out of her daze, stepped past Cameron and Mu Chunfeng, and stood with her arms outstretched in front of the crowd.
Fortunately, these crazy scientists still recognized Sheila's hard work and contributions, and they were forced to stop. Only pairs of bright red eyes, even more terrifying than the green eyes of zombies, were fixed on Long Xun's group.
"Dr. Sheila! Get out of the way!"
"Those people destroyed the J virus antibodies, they deserve to die! They deserve to die!"
They deserve to die!
"They all deserve to die!"
"Level Zero Energy Preparation..." Sheila's arms shifted, and two six-revolver gun barrels replaced her arms. With a deafening roar, a series of bullets shot out in front of the scientists, shattering tiles and sending them flying. The booming gunshots echoed through the sky.
The continuous gunfire was more shocking than the silent walls of fire and spatial rifts. The scientists, whose reason had been abruptly awakened and who were now gripped by fear, screamed and retreated to avoid the bullets.
Only after they had retreated a certain distance did Sheila stop spinning the guns in her arms, a wisp of smoke rising. Sheila's voice remained flat and emotionless: "Everyone, please calm down. Dr. Long and Mr. Po are innocent."
